Best Troop Types
If you station her she doesn’t care about troops types as just scales of attack which accounts all troop types. When pairing her you ideally use a marksman hero and want to run her with marksman.
Best Hero Pairing for Maggrat
Zayda should not be the biggest surprise here, new heroes that are released together in Call of Dragons always go exceptionally well together and so do Zayda and Maggrat and they even outclass Ffraegar with Syndrion as the top damage dealer pairing in the game now (See full build here).
Ffraegar with the enhanced crit rate on normal attacks along Maggrat will work exceptionally well as well if you don’t jump the gun and get Zayda to run along Maggrat (See full build here).
Syndrion with Maggrat is also a great pairing as their kits go well together (See full build here).
Kinnara is probably the best pairing for F2P players in Call of Dragons and their kits compliment each other really well (See full build here).
Hosk with the awakening skill can benefit a lot from her as well and although the counterattacks are not that relevant in this pairing, it works well (See full build here).
Kregg can be a viable early pair and although he is a flying hero, he only cares very little about flying units and you can still get away with that pair (See full build here).
Gwanwyn can also work but away from both being markman heroes there is not a ton of synergy but if that’s your only possible pair you still do it (See full build here).

Best Builds For Maggrat
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Maggrat that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.
In most of the cases this is the talent build you want to run, including when you pair her with Zayda or any other hero that does normal attack damage of any significance (and pairing her with any skill-damage focues hero doesn’t make much sense anyway). THis tree boosts the normal attack and make her in all parts as versatile as possible.
This is a tree to use when you focus on any form of PvE content in Call of Dragons with Maggrat as primary commander of your legion. You COULD also use this for open field and PvP if you run her with Zayda here, but I wouldn’t recommend that too much and rather pick the other tree for that.
