Well, then you’re in the right place, below you will find answer to each one of those questions and this will help you make your Gwanwyn perfrom as strong as possible in all situations.

Current Ranking – is Gwanwyn S-Tier, A-Tier, or D-Tier?!

See how Gwanwyn is ranking in the different game modes of Call of Dragons in my current tier list here and also make sure that you’re running the best faction in Call of Dragons or you might really affect your progress negatively – I have an updated guide on the best factions in Call of Dragons here

Skill Order

When you star up Gwanwyn, you also unlock a new skill. This helps you fine-tune in what order you want to upgrade the skills of your heroes as not all skills are equally good and worth maxing or worth maxing first (in general) – this helps to invest your sculptures more reasonably to get the biggest bang for your buck.

Gwanwyn is as epic commander one of the ones that you will use very early and before increasing her stars, I recommend that you max out her first skill to Level 5 so you will get the maximum skill damage with her. Use that time to save up and increase her star rating right away to 3 Star to ublock her 3rd skill as you don’t want too many points in her 2nd skill if you use her in the open field (which works espcially well in early kingdoms). You will land some point in there abd ultimately max her out as she is an epic commander, but this helps increasing her effectively early in the game.

Best Troop Types

Use all Marksman or at least as many as possible as she will buff up march speed and attack of all marksmen in her legion through her 3rd skill and some of the talent points shown below will also only affect Marksmen.

Best Hero Pairing for Gwanwyn

Hosk is one of the strongest commanders in Call of Dragons and very versatile to be used along Gwanwyn as well and Gwanwyn will benefit a lot from the buffs he provides through his 1st and 3rd skill. Find the talent builds for Hosk here.
Madeline is another legendary commander that works well with Gwanwyn as she will increase base stats for damage that Gwanwyn deals, provides a shield and increases the size of your legion. Find the talent builds for Madeline here.
Nika deals a lot of skill damage directly and reduces the target HP, which is a great pairing with Gwanwyn to burst damage and hunt down enemy legions in the open field. The only thing I don’t neccessarily like about this pairing is that Nika is about Infantry and Gwanwyn about Marksmen. Find the talent builds for Nika here.
Kregg is like Gwanwyn about Marksmen and although not the craziest hero himself, has some synergies and can be a solid secondary hero in your legion lead by Gwanwyn. Find the talent builds for Kregg here.
Atheus is also a commander pairing with Gwanwyn for open field combat as you get skill damage, additional rage and he also buffs march speed for all troops. Find the talent builds for Atheus here.

Best Artifacts

In terms of artifacts, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Gwanwyn:

Shadowblades buff up Marksment attack and deal ranged damage to enemy legions which goeas really well with Gwanwyn, although this is a legendary artifact so not many have it available when running Gwaanwyn is viable.
Heart of Kamasi is a great buffing artifact and works on all stats that Gwanwyn profits from, although buffing her mediocre stats will not give you the biggest bang, tbh.
Springbird Feather can help you for hunting down players in the open field or get out of situations that will not work well for you.
Heartpiercer buffs Marksmen attack and deals ranged damage, pretty much the epic version of the Shadowblades and probably to go-to artifact for most players running Gwanwyn right now.
Bomb Flinger if you are after Darklings, Behemoths or Dark Creatures only, but works better in stats than Heartpiercer for that but be aware that it will ONLY deal damage to those neutral units, not to other players!.

Best Builds For Gwanwyn

Below you will find the talent tree builds for Gwanwyn that make sense when running Gwanwyn as the primary hero in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.

This is the build for Gwanwyn if you want to run her as your primary hero in your legion for hunting down other players in the open field, focusing on getting high-value talents and pricking up primarily march speed as well to be as versatile and flexible in all situations. The build is separated into 3 different stages that depend on the level you have your Gwanwyn at and is kind-of a order how to invest your talent points to make the most out of it until you have her at max lavel.

Start (Green) – this is the part where you increase the stats that matter most for open field combat, HP and march speed to unlock the center node (up to Level 10).

Main (Yellow) – in the Precision branch of Gwanwyns talent tree you can now pick up several talent nodes that increase the base damage she deals, gain a chnace to get Onslaught through Invincible, and then add more talent points for more crit damage output as you normally want to increase burst damage to not suffer too much counterattack damage. If you crit means you still won’t suffer more counterattack damage (up to Level 40).

Refine (Red) – pick up some more points in the Marksman branch for raised attack. At this point you should only run Marksment troops in your legion with Gwanwyn (up to level 50).

Finish (Pink) – the last points now to unlock Mighty Slash and you have a decent damage output with your maxed Gwanwyn.

If you run Gwanwyn as your primary hero against Darklings and Dark Creatures, this is the build to run as it focus on dealing as much damage to them as possible through the Peavekeeping tree.

Start (Green) – this is the part where you increase the stats that that work well against Darklings and Dark Creatures to unlock the core node (up to Level 10).

Main (Yellow) – now go into the Peavekeeping Tree and pick up the nice damage-boosting stats against Darklings and Dark Creatures, including Duet that can deal nice extra Hero Skill damage with Gwanwyn and then the shown route towardsWar Trophy to gain extra rewards when marching against Darklings and Dark Creatures (up to Level 40).

Refine (Red) – then take Fighting Spirit up that will give you a chance to gain extra rage when attacking Darklings and Dark Creatures that help Gwanwyn cycle through her active skill faster and deal more damage (up to level 45).

Finish (Pink) – the last points now to unlock the good extra stats in the Marksman tree and by the time you unlock them, you will normally use Marksmen exclusively with her so they are great and finish your talent build.

Conclusion
