Best Troop Types
Hosk doesn’t care too much about troops type so if you use him as the Deputy Commander (secondary hero in your legion), he will increase attack instead of defense from his 3rd skill and you need to see what the primary commander requires, but as rally leader himself bring whatever legion units you want and have.
Best Hero Pairing for Hosk
Madeline is a great secondary commander in your legion as she also increases rally capacity and provides with several good buffs (See full build here).
Ffraegar benefits a ton from Hosk long range buffing and they both make each other better in all kinds of ways and are one of the best pairings here to consider (See full build here).
Syndrion is also a great synergy pairing with Hosk as secondary hero for your legion unless you want to run him with another marksman in your legion. You can very well go both ways here (See full build here).
Nico deals damage but more importantly can apply the DEF break and scales up damage through several buffs (See full build here).
Kinnara can also work well but she descreases the damage the target deals so it helps as well (See full build here).
Gwanwyn is quite a budget pair and not for rally, but as Hosk is a incredible pairng commander with his buffs you can use them together well even in the open field in earlier stages (See full build here).
Forondil is not a slam-dunk pairing as their mechanics go into very different direction but you can pull it off as a secondary legion until you have the better pairings for Forondil (See full build here).
Kregg has some downsides but they can also work together. This is, however, more a theoretical pairing since I don’t see a player out there with access to Hosk and at the same time only having a Kregg available from this list to pair (See full build here).
Best Artifacts
Let’s now take a look at the numerous artifacts that you can possible use. We have tested many of them and some have amazing synergy and others are more in for the stats but no matter what artifacts you have possibly available, you will find the one that works best. Please also check out the full tier list of all artifacts here to see which ones are worth the invest in general.

Bloodblade Banner is obviously the best rally artifact you can run as it will increase ATK and DEf of everything and the attack bonus also affects all rallied armies.

Best Builds For Hosk
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Hosk that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.Hosk goes well with so many heroes in Call of Dragons but using him as primary commander of a legion has limited use-cases. One big one is rally leader and if you have Hosk, build him up and use him as rally leader, this is the talent build you want to run for that.Alternatively, using Hosk primary with heroes like Nico or Kinnara and dealing a ton of counterattack damage is another scenario where you would use him as primary legion commander with this tree here.
Conclusion

Can you update and complete his build at level 60? And/or add a few options? For example, since he is primarily used as a deputy, what would a good deputy PVP + PVE build be at max level 60? What if someone wanted to use him as a commander? What if someone only wanted to use him for PVE?
