Best Golden Roc Pet Build (Skill, Attributes, Pairings) in Call of Dragons

With war pets in Call of Dragons you have a very tough task as you can have literally countless variations of attributes and skills on them, so I decided to make a in-depth build guide to show you what heroes to pair Golden Roc with, what skills works well (and not just the very best ones that ony 1% of players are able to have), what attributes you should go for before building a copy of Golden Roc and some background that you should know.

Best Attributes

So, when you roll a fresh copy of your pet, the attributes you can potentially get when maxing it out are assigned randomly between the possibilities – but the attributes are normally also the multiplicators for the skills and talent so also important. So you can easily have a legendary Golden Roc but with pretty useless attributes and it will still, even with the perfect skills on it, only perform at like 50% of the potential.

Also make sure to check out the full tier list of all pets here to get a feeling which pet is worth it and which one is not.

Here are the three most important attributes you’re looking for:

Agility
Agilityscales the core skill part and other imporotant skills that you use with Golden Roc so make sure this is as high as possible before even thinking to develop that war pet
Strength
Strengthis also much needed for important skills but if Agility is really high and this is alright you can still proceed
Luck
Luckis nice to have but not too crazy important. Ideally a good amount is good to have as well

Best Skills

Do NOT trust the ingame tooltips, they are bugged and give you absolutely wrong numbers in terms of damage scaling!

We tested them all and if you look at the overview you know how much there are. Here are the reults that show you how well each skill performs in reality to help you decide which ones are worth putting on your Golden Roc:

Please mind, you can only use 3 skills for each attribute (any additional ones simply won’t take effect!) which will require you to pick the skills and the synergies well. The big problem is, with the way you get the skills there is no one-to-rule-them-all setup so we created a map here that help you pick your skills according to the skills you have:

  • combine the skills with their cross-synergies so they enhance each other
  • ick the attribute types the way that they all stay effective

Sounds a lot? It can be, so we simplified your options below. Simply follow each of the main lines and make your choices (you can pick any combination of main lines, they are optimized so you won’t have any inactive skill in the setup):

Improve the talent with Feral Exuberance, no question and then also gain more rage and improve the damage dealing on top of that to make the Golden Roc perform at its best.

Best Heroes Synergies

Alright, here comes the important part, because having a great war pet is nothing when not using it with the right heroes and vice versa. Here are the possible heroes that makes sense pairing up with Golden Roc as war pet:

Bakshi
also has Passion in his kit so you can either use Golden Roc to gain rage or simply deal direct damage which makes perfectly sense
Emrys
works very well as you can either gain the benefits of the talent with extra rage and healing and if Emrys applies Passion when entering battle, Golden Roc will deal damage
Forondil
doesn't have passion but gaining more rage for his active skill works fine and as flying pet they go well together, too
Theodore
can also benefit from the rage that Golden Roc provides to cycle through his active skill faster and suppress enemy HP and deal more damage
Alistair
frequently applies Passion as well so he can go with Golden Roc perfectly fine

Conclusion

I hope this guide here helped you build Golden Roc the right away. Also, the way war pets work you will end up building multiple different ones so don’t hunt too much for specific attributes or skills but the above tips will help you to go very far in the right direction.
