Skill Order

When you star up Madeline, you also unlock a new skill. This helps you fine-tune in what order you want to upgrade the skills of your heroes as not all skills are equally good and worth maxing or worth maxing first (in general) – this helps to invest your sculptures more reasonably to get the biggest bang for your buck.

Madeline goes so well with pretty much all physical attack hero in Call of Dragons (except the ones that focus on the Magic Tree and deal magical damage). In the order how you want to unlock her (which takes either time or invest as you can only level up her skills through the Wheel of Fortune. I’d actually goal for making her 5551 and maxing out her 1st skill for the shielding and then unlock the 2nd and 3rd skill and level them up simultaniously.

Best Troop Types

Although Madeline has the Infantry Tree, you only need to take infantry units if you have a talent build for that (see below) or you pair her up with another hero that has Infantry buffs in their kit – none of the skills Madeline uses are specifically for infantry.

Best Hero Pairing for Madeline

Nika deals great damage and as both are about infantry, they share a ton of synergy. Madeline is not individually with her skills about infantry but still a great pairing to run. Find the talent builds for Nika here.
Nico deals great damage and having a tanky hero as deputy that shields make him sustain a lot more if you don’t have a different tank legion around. Find the talent builds for Nico here.
Garwood along Madeline is the go-to tank pairing for be the primary tank in a Behemoth raid ot anything you want to do that requires a very tanky march. Garwood heals, Madeline shields and you deal the damage through counterattack. Find the talent builds for Garwood here.
Gwanwyn is a very early pair that works well with Madeline as you gain so much survivability. Find the talent builds for Gwanwyn here.

Best Artifacts

In terms of artifacts, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Madeline:

Harlequin Mask is the artifact to use if you’re the main tank in any raid as it will make sure your target sticks with you and won’t brawl through the ranged damage dealing legions.
Greymar’s Warhammer deals good damage and buffs up infantry DEF and goes very well with Madeline’s whole kit.
Dragonscale Armor can help you protect your legion with the active shield and also the additional HP it provides.
Heart of Kamasi buffs up other legions while improving your own DEF.
Butcher’s Blade is a handy open field artifact and basically the epic version of Greymar’s Warhammer to deal some damage as you will be quite tanky already.

This is the build that you normally want to use, reducing damage and increasing the damage you deal with some versatile points.
