Are you planning to or already running Atheus in Call of Dragons in one of your legions and want to see how you should invest the talent points, what artifacts works best and what other hero you should pair with? Well, then you’re in the right place, below you will find answer to each one of those questions and this will help you make your Atheus perfrom as strong as possible in all situations.
Current Ranking – is Atheus S-Tier, A-Tier, or D-Tier?!

Skill Order
When you star up Atheus, you also unlock a new skill. This helps you fine-tune in what order you want to upgrade the skills of your heroes as not all skills are equally good and worth maxing or worth maxing first (in general) – this helps to invest your sculptures more reasonably to get the biggest bang for your buck.
All of Atheus skills are great and worth getting, from his primary skill that directly deals solid damage factor to the other skill adding stat buffs for attacking and defense towards his awakened ability that can heal.
There’s multiple ways when it comes to the best order how you want to unlock and level up his skills and I’d first max out the 1st skill before star him up as the direct damage factor is great, direct and without any requirements and pretty good for an epic hero in Call of Dragons. From here you have several options and I’d recommend to directly unlock the new skills whenever you can IF you run League of Order as your faction and can run him with the flying magic units (Celestials) and then invest in leveling them up as every unlocked skill has a bigger impact on Atheus overall perfromance than improving the level of a skill you already unlocked. If not and you run either Wilderberg or Springwardens, I recommend you to actually max out his 2nd skill before unlocking more skills and then unlock his 3rd and 4th skill simultaniously and work on them.
In the long run you will and really want to expertise him as the additional healing, espcially in connection with flying units is just making him a lot more durable and with Magic units that’s a jackpot.
Best Troop Types
Flying Units and Magic Units are the key with him. If you haven’t expertised him and not run him with Theia, you can just take regular Magic Units as the extra healing won’t matter much, but after all you want to run him with flying magic units – and that means League of Order needs to be your faction to run him at his full potential.

Best Artifacts
In terms of artifacts, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Atheus:

Best Builds For Atheus
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Atheus that make sense when running Atheus as the primary hero in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.
Let’s start with the mobility talent build that I really like as you will start chasing down enemy legions in the open field like crazy as you’re fast. After you unlocked the core node, go into the Mobility Tree and make your way into Preemptive Preparations. The way this works is whenever your target gets away so you re-gain the massive attack boost.
Then pick up the additional amrch speed talents on your way to Victory Rush. Victory Rush is amazing to finish of any legion that tries to get away from you as you deal additional damage to them.
Then spend your leftover points in the Magic Tree to increase some more base stats of your legion and make Energy Boost that can make your active skill hit multiple targets, which can be incredibly useful.
This build here has less march speed but packs a heavy punch, espcially for magic Units. Pick up some base stats in the Magic Tree and make your way to Energy Boost as this will give you extra rage, damage and maybe also hit multiple targets.
Then you want to make your way to Elemental Boost and make sure you only bring Magic Units and pick up the talents on the way shown in my image. You now have great extra rage and damage. The last points then should be spend in the Mobility Tree to at least gain some extra march speed when in the open field.
Conclusion
I hope this guide for building Atheus helped you investing without wasting much time and resources.
