Best Troop Types
Full disclaimer here, since most skills in his kit don’t really care about troop type you can technically build a very aggressive infantry setup with hima s well, but in all reality pairing him with cavalry just will give him the biggest bang for the buck so stick to that instead of trying to make something work that technically can work but is by design not really intended to work, espcially when you invest in him.
Best Hero Pairing for Urag
Tobin is, and this is no surprise, the commander that rolls best with Urag, simply as new heroes that are released together in Call of Dragons always run best together and their kits are simply designed to work hand-in-hand where you actually get the sustainability for cavalry here that Urag needs since all his skills are pretty much about nuking in the open field (See full build here).
Alistair so actually before you throw together two legendary cavalry commanders here -just because- you might give some thoughts into Alistair if you don’t run him with Tobin since he will give skill damage boost by percentage and also rage accumulation that do stack with Urags kit and I really like this setup although you have to face reality here with running not that much sustain and a epic commander with him. Still, akes more sense than any other weird legendary pairing with him (See full build here).
Emrys works with Urag but full disclaimer here, they will be a extreme high-damage glass cannon and you will find yourself in so many difficult spots that I would only recommend this pairing if you have your Emrys well-built and don’t plan to build Tobin. Nothing I would plain recommend but if that is your situation this is a pairing that can make hunting in the open field exciting with the downside of the constant danger that they can also be easily taken down if you don’t pick your battles well (See full build here).
Forondil I am not a big fan of simply as you’re missing out on the flying troops benefit here (See full build here).
Theodore is cavalry but I honestly don’t see much synerg here other than them being both cav commanders (See full build here).
