Best Troop Types
I already stated above that it makes very little sense to use him as a garrison commander so rather focus on running him with cavalry in the wild and maraud around, this is what he work for even better.
Best Hero Pairing for Theodore
Emrys is a good pairing for the simple fact that he has a crazy damage output but struggles with survivability and with Theodore you have that plus you reduce the target HP which helps Emrys deal his damage to the very end quickly (See full build here).
Forondil also works fine but I feel you rather want to set him up with a hero that enables his skills more than Theodore does and I would absolutely run Forondil as the primary legion commander in that case (See full build here).
Bakshi with Theodore (no matter which hero you set as the legion commander) is a very sturdy and tanky cavalry legion and although they go well together on paper, I personally find that tanky cavalry is somewhat weird and goes against the archetype. But they work (See full build here).
Alistair is just a backup if you don’t have any other options as unless they are both about cavalry there is not too much synergy (See full build here).

Let’s now take a look at the numerous artifacts that you can possible use. We have tested many of them and some have amazing synergy and others are more in for the stats but no matter what artifacts you have possibly available, you will find the one that works best. Kingslayer is only viable IF you do use Theodore as the garrison commander and this is a great IF. I wouldn’t recommend doing that but if you do, you want to use this artifact. Breath of the Forest is only viable IF you do use Theodore as the garrison commander and this is a great IF. I wouldn’t recommend doing that but if you do, you want to use this artifact.

Best Builds For Theodore
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Theodore that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.
Here we have the, in general, most useful talent tree build that you will use for every situation unless garrison Theodore. You want to make use of the Skill Tree here as the Skill Tree is simply the strongest tree of all and in many situations I really would run Theodore primary just to make use of that tree unless there are other important reasons. The talents there are simply too good and if you follow my recommendation you will have as much fun with Theodore as possible.
This is the Garriosn build in case you want to station him there. Again, I pointed that out multiple times that i don#t recommend that too much as there are simply better heroes for that but if you don#t have them and want to run Theodore, this is for sure the build I recommend you to use.
