All about him is for infantry so don’t use any other troops unless you use him on defense
Best Hero Pairing for Mogro
Danfel what grows together goes together, right? Well, in Call of Dragon it does and since they are released togehter they also make the best pairing for open field and for garrison. You deal skill damage, you shield, you increase taregt damage taken and apply debuffs with Danfel that all plays so well int he cards of Migro that it is inappropriate to a certain degree (See full build here).
Goresh strong infantry hero but more focus on the defensive and counterattack damage side and although there is nothing that screams ‘do not use them together’, they simply don’t smash as hard as they could with other pairings (See full build here).
Theodore boosts skill damage and althought hey don’t look like a great fit early, they can do nasty damage overall (See full build here).
Nika has a similar kit but there are two things I don’t really like too much about this pairing. One is her peacekeeping skills, they are useless here and the other one is her HP reduction from her active skill that is not stacking with the same one that Magro has so it feels like a lot of power left in the table here (See full build here).
Best Artifacts
Let’s now take a look at the numerous artifacts that you can possible use. We have tested many of them and some have amazing synergy and others are more in for the stats but no matter what artifacts you have possibly available, you will find the one that works best. Please also check out the full tier list of all artifacts here to see which ones are worth the invest in general.

Spiritbone Torc is also really good when you defend your city with Mogro. And realistically, this is the only use-case where you actually would use him as primary commander where you need to pick an artifact for him. Breath of the Forest is also really good when you defend your city with Mogro. And realistically, this is the only use-case where you actually would use him as primary commander where you need to pick an artifact for him.
Best Pet Synergies For Mogro (NEW)
With the new war pet system in Call of Dragons it’s aso important to pair Mogro with the right pet to gain more synergies. Please also check out the full tier list of all war pets in Call of Dragons here to see which ones are worth the invest in general.

Best Builds For Mogro
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Mogro that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.
The only possible reason you would run Mogro as the primary commander of your legion where his talent tree is active is when you use him for defending a garrison… and here is the garrison talent tree for that. Since the infantry tree doesn’t provide much and the skill tree is also not great, you see going all-in in the garrison tree is worth it, espcially since the last nodes have some very powerful plain damage scalers and reductions so don’t let yourself get sucked into anything here, go all into the garrison tree with your maxed Mogro and you will have a pretty strong and sturdy defender.
Conclusion
I hope this guide for building Mogro helped you investing without wasting much time and resources. If you liked it or you further questions (or maybe also annnotations that you believe should be added here in this guide), please don’t hesitate to post them below in the comment section. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
