Best Troop Types
His skill is melee range, his skill and talents are infantry so without making any complicated theorycrafting models here, infantry is the way to go with Danfel.
Best Hero Pairing for Danfel
Mogro what grows together goes together is something the deisgners of Call of Dragons always use and again here no difference with the new infantry heroes working very well together:Madeline (See full build here).
Garwood works with Danfel and is actually a legion pairing I like since DAnfel biggetst issue is not his kit, it’s keeping him alive so he can use his skills and Garwood increases his kit but also adds quite some suvivability to that. Run Garwood as primary commander in this legion (See full build here).
Nika is working although there are two disclaimers here. First, you have to run Nika as the primary commander of your legion and secondaly, this is a super offensive legion dealing damage so you need another melee infantry legion to tank or they will be eliminated in a matter of seconds. I honestly wouldn’t recommend running it, but for completeness here, they work together (See full build here).
Best Artifacts
Let’s now take a look at the numerous artifacts that you can possible use. We have tested many of them and some have amazing synergy and others are more in for the stats but no matter what artifacts you have possibly available, you will find the one that works best. Please also check out the full tier list of all artifacts here to see which ones are worth the invest in general.

Shield of Sturdiness is offensive, has great defensive stats and deals diffused damage like his 4th skill and should be the best option for you unless you have the Shield of Sturdiness. Greymars Warhammer is offensive, has great defensive stats and deals diffused damage like his 4th skill and should be the best option for you unless you have the Shield of Sturdiness.
Best Pet Synergies For Danfel (NEW)
With the new war pet system in Call of Dragons it’s aso important to pair Danfel with the right pet to gain more synergies. Please also check out the full tier list of all war pets in Call of Dragons here to see which ones are worth the invest in general.

Best Builds For Danfel
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Danfel that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.
There is not too much buffing going on with him overall and there is nothing too critical in the tank tree, so with pretty much all pairing where you will run Danfel as the primary commander you want to use this infantry build and you will get the best results and most versatile performance.
If you really must use a PvP-focused talent tree here and you, for whatever reason, dispise the infantry tree you can potentially use this setup here that will work incredibly well dealing withother players in the open field.
Conclusion
I hope this guide for building Danfel helped you investing without wasting much time and resources. If you liked it or you further questions (or maybe also annnotations that you believe should be added here in this guide), please don’t hesitate to post them below in the comment section. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
