Best Gear (Chaos Set + Forge Effects) in Survivor.io – Update 2.3.0 (November)

Are you asking yourself which ones of the many different equipment items in Survivor!.io are best for each slot? Well, I have ranked them here and update the ranking with every new item that is coming to give you a good overview what you should use.

In case you might wonder why the weapons are not listed here… the weapons have a much more significant impact with individual Evolution abilities and the way they work, so I have the ranking of the best weapons in Survivor!.io here.

Also, please check out my frequently updated ranking of all the skills that will help you a lot making the best build and get the most damage done.

When it comes to merging, you will see how expensive it is to get an item to golden or even red rarity:

Jacob BB posted this on Reddit (all credit to him)

By the way, make sure to check for active gift codes in Survivor!.io here, normally there are always codes active that will help you with keys to get more equipment! Please also check out the new guide about leveling up the different survivors and which ones performs best in battle here.

But now let’s go into the list for each gear slot…

Important! I added all the Astral Forge effects to each item, but please also refer to my new Astral Forge guide here.

  • Full Metal SuitAAstral Forge Guide
The Full Metal Suit can revive you once when you die but with less effectiveness than the Eternal Suit and no extra buffs related to it when it happens.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Gain magnet effect when revived upon deathAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • CarapaceC+Astral Forge Guide
After a lot of testing and discussions, I finally lowered the ranking of the Carapace since so much new stuff has changes a lot in the game since the release and the Carapace is a lot less viable nowAstral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Additional damage when enemies are blown awayAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet

  • Protective SuitDAstral Forge Guide
The Protective Suit has these radiation pulses once you get hit that can be okay to deal with projectiles but not when mobs or bosses get too close and with more priority to bosses now compared to the release of the game, I adjusted the ranking slowly downwards.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ for every 5s of no damage taken +20% radiation pulse powerAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: C+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Army UniformDAstral Forge Guide
The Army Uniform gives you Inspire when you kill an Elite or Boss that will heal over time. • Best Necklace

  • Eternal NecklaceS+Astral Forge Guide
The Eternal Necklace will deal more damage when the target has more HP so it will automatically scale your damage by a percentage, making it the best necklace right now in Survivor!.ioAstral Forge Effect: 1st learned passive skill can be evolved (not compatible with character's exclusive passives) ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Passive effect increased to 20%Astral Forge ⭐️: AAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Stone of CleavingA+Astral Forge Guide
The slowing effect is not that great unless you get the Astral Forge effects that start healing you through the enemies in the slo radusAstral Forge Effect: Mirage also siphons enemy HP to heal hero ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Skill CD reduced for each mirage spawned (up to 30%)Astral Forge ⭐️: AAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: A+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Metal NeckguardAAstral Forge Guide
The Metal Nackguard buffs the first and last passive effect you get by 30%. Can be super situational and depends what abilities you get presented at the beginning and the ending but can also scale really well but makes choosing your skills even more complex planning. With the new skills, survivors and everything else that has been added to the game in the past months this seems to work better and more reliable now, that's why I adjusted the ranking.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Passive enhancement effect is increased to 50%Astral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Voidwaker EmblemB+Astral Forge Guide
Scales your damage (and crit on legend) on the percentage of your HP left and buffs you those stats by up to 40% - the Astral Forge effects aren't too crazy powerful so this is the weakest S-Grade necklace here now.Astral Forge Effect: Gain more Battle EXP when HP is lower (triggers when HP is below 50% and max +40%) ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Berserker can reset when monsters are defeated during effectAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Trendy CharmB+Astral Forge Guide
Trendy Charm decreases your cooldown for every 200 monsters killed with a total of 30%, really good and basically scales to the full effect fast and then stay there.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ More Healing when CD is reducedAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Army NameplateCAstral Forge Guide
The Army Nameplate gives you Inspire when you kill an Elite or Boss that will increase your damage by 20% but will go away as soon as you take any damage. The buff is nice but not lasting too well.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Gain 5s invincibility when Inspire is removedAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Bone PendantDAstral Forge Guide
The Bone Pendant slows down monsters that come near you (not bosses, though) and can be handy to make your area effects deal better damage or to walk through the packs of monsters. I ranked it lower now as it seems the newer stuff that has been added to the game boosts other builds more and this is not as powerful anymore.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ longer and more effective slowAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Emerald PendantDAstral Forge Guide
The Emerald Pendant generates basically a radiation ring that deals damage to nearby enemies. Not super strong but it's extra damage without conditions.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Radiation Ring Power +1Astral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet

  • Stylish BeltB+Astral Forge Guide
The Stylish Belt gives a shield for every 200 monsters killed (and some stages let you kill 30,000 or even more monsters. The immunity can be quite good. Debatable if it's better than the Eternal Belt or not but I see them on the same level and even triggering more frequently in most stages.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Shield duration increased by 2sAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Voidwaker SashB+Astral Forge Guide

  • Leather BeltB+Astral Forge Guide
The Leather Belt adds more healing and buffs your movement speed from picking up food. Triggers so rarely but with the new Astral Forge effect becomes a really good item reducing your skill cooldownAstral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ when looting foos skill CD -5% (max -30%)Astral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: SAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Army BeltC+Astral Forge Guide
The Army Belt gives you a shield when you kill an Elite or Boss that can then also deal nice damage and reduces all cooldowns. Not too reliable but a nice thing to have, for sure.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Immune to projectile damage with Shockwave activeAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Waist SensorC+Astral Forge Guide
The Waist Sensor increases either movement speed (most of the time when you're over 50% health) or decreases your damage when you fall below 50% health. Now with all the changes we've seen in the past months, movement speed is not too exciting and you rather want to stick above the health trigger for the additional damage so this is not that much of a great gear anymore.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ +20% damage at full HPAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Broad WaistguardD+Astral Forge Guide
The Broad Waistguard has radiation pulses that depend on the amount you heal. Super conditional and you need the Energy Drin and other gear that will constantly heal to make you feel the effect.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Radiation pulse power +1Astral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Best Gloves

  • Eternal GlovesSAstral Forge Guide
The Eternal Gloves gives nice attack and crit buffs that are not that conditional, the best gloves to wear right now in Survivor!.ioAstral Forge Effect: restores 1% HP when monster is defeated with critical hit (Max 10 times per second) ➡ 20% ATK ➡ +3% crit rate when elite or boss is defeatedAstral Forge ⭐️: AAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: A+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Voidwaker HandguardsA+Astral Forge Guide
Great buffs and the insta-kill on non-bosses below 20% is also nice.Astral Forge Effect: Increased inner rings in red ring. Inner ring number of hits is x2 ➡ 20% ATK ➡ Instakills bosses below 10% HPAstral Forge ⭐️: A+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Fingerless GlovesAAstral Forge Guide
The Fingerless Gloves increases damage by up to 30% permanently for every 200 monsters killed and have a very small chance to kill monsters (not bosses) instantly. Can be useful against Elites but the damage buff is what you're really after and it's actually a good one.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ restores 1% HP when Instakill is triggeredAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Chaos GauntletB+Astral Forge Guide
A lot of back-and-forth and only makes really good sense when all Astral Forge effects are unlocked and looking what you can get on the other gloves for less investment doesnt make it that overpowered at the end of the day.Astral Forge ⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: A+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Leather GlovesB+Astral Forge Guide
The Leather Gloves gives a flat crit chance and crit damage buffs. Also strong but a little less than the Eternal Gloves but still an solid option.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ 2x Bleed EffectAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Army GlovesBAstral Forge Guide
The Army Gloves increase damage to Elites and Bosses by up to 50% and can be also really helpful as bosses are most of the time the problem where you lack the damage to really hit them fast enough to stand a chance. Has been falling off more compared with all the new skills and other things we have been getting in the past months.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ +10% max HP when Elite/Boss is defeatedAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Shiny WristguardC+Astral Forge Guide
The Shiny Wristguards will make small explosions when monsters die and with monsters constantly dying you will add some damage to the monster waves, for sure. With more priority to also bosses now, the viablility of these gloves has been getting less significant so I lowered the ranking.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ causes random explosion when monster is defeatedAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Protective GlovesCAstral Forge Guide
The Protective Gloves add damage over time when you kill a monster. Not bad on paper but with all the other strong glove options you have the 'worst' option you have for this gear slot.Astral Forge Effect: 15% ATK ➡ 20% ATK ➡ 2x radiation ring when monsters are defeatedAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Best Boots

  • Voidwaker TreadsS+Astral Forge Guide
Add movement speed gradually when killing monsters + then applying a buff for more damage against all monsters with lower movement speed (almost all of them)Astral Forge Effect: When Apex Species is active, +20% max HP (max +100%) ➡ 20% HP ➡ Move faster with lower HPAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Eternal BootsA+Astral Forge Guide
Eternal Boots increase your movement speed significantly and the fire trail will damage (not that important). The reason I ranked it slightly lower than the Light Runners is that it is a lot harder to get the rarity leveled up to unlock the last bonus plus the fire trail is not that great compared to the bonus damage the Light Runners permanently apply.Astral Forge Effect: flames don't fade with time ➡ 20% HP ➡ Enemies burnt by flames take 20% more damageAstral Forge ⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: AAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Light RunnersB+Astral Forge Guide
Light Runners decrease damage received after you got hit and increase your damage after killing an enemy (basically active all the time). Falling off a little now compared to the S-Grade boots but still the best F2P option you have.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Damage reduction increased to 30%Astral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Shoes of ConfusionBAstral Forge Guide
Just a super weird mechanics that you will hate unless you get it merged enough to stop the movement direction trigger. Overall not bad but I don't see the point of investing here when there are so many other better shoes are available that you probably have upgraded a lot more alreadyAstral Forge Effect: Gain invincibility for 2s when switching to the correct direction ➡ 20% HP ➡ Area explosion is triggered when switching to the opposite direction (instakills minions)Astral Forge ⭐️: AAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: SAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Army BootsC+Astral Forge Guide
Army Boots gain Inspire when you kill a Boss or Elite but will go away once you get hit. As situational as that sounds, it can really work well.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Random Airdropped crates appear nearby when InspiredAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Prosthetic LegCAstral Forge Guide
The Prosthetic Leg will give minor healing every few seconds and add some movement speed. Nothing too exciting (although can be helpful).Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ 2x Healing when movingAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • HighbootsD+Astral Forge Guide
Highboots add movement speed for every 200 monsters killed and make you immune to projectiles while these 5s are active. Nothing that will really help you much as you can't sustain if you can't without the effect and as soon as it's over you will die or you would also survive without.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Distance to emit rings halfedAstral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet
  • Layered SnowshoesDAstral Forge Guide
Layered Snowshoes will leave radiation rings behind that deal some damage. Basically the Eternal Boots but without the movement speed buff.Astral Forge Effect: 15% HP ➡ 20% HP ➡ Kill count to reduce Forced March reduced to 100Astral Forge ⭐️: C+Astral Forge ⭐️⭐️: BAstral Forge ⭐️⭐️⭐️: B+Astral Forge GuideBest WeaponBest SurvivorBest Pet

Conclusion

I hope this help you see what gear you’re after. Overall, as you can get all investment back when you reset an item, it’s quite easy to swap out gear when you get new one but this overview should help you what gear you should equip (the highest rarity item is not always the best). Please let me in the comments what you think.

Also see:

  1. Just a PSA the Eternal boots allow you to walk through poison pools left by monsters. You won’t receive damage from them as long as you’re moving and not standing still in one. However I don’t see you damaging yourself because it gets even better:

Not only does it allow you to walk through them, but it also REMOVES poison pools that you have walked over.

So I feel it should be ranked higher due to this fact.

Also just so you know, the flames from the Molotov ability (and it’s EVO) also remove poison pools.

    1. If you feel they are more valuable then run them for that reason, my list here is not changing the game, it’s just my opinion and if you think differently, you do you 😉

        1. Excuse me?! I did totally respect the OP opinion but just because that I will not change my list. The game mechanics are what they are, no matter if the OP is right or I am. But one thing here is for sure, you just come to my site that I spend time and money on and call me an a-hole for no reason and without being involved in the conversation or maybe even understanding what this is about… so of the three of us, OP/me/you there is only one person who can’t behave like a normal person and should take a look in the mirror and ask yourself “maybe I am the a-hole here”. Cheers and have fun in the bathroom

    1. I am planning to do survivor-specific tier lists for gear soon so I have to test more on that. They would be a better choice but the S-Grade gear is simply too strong to invest too much there

  2. Hi,
I‘m wondering what „immune to death“ means for the Voidwaker Windbreaker – could anybody help me with that? Does that mean, you cannot die? Then this armor would clearly be better than the Eternal Suit.
Since I have that one already in orange and one of four violet pieces to get the suit red, I would like to know prior to investing in the wrong suit 😉
    Best Regards
    Lar1mus

    1. It only applies to Berserker mode that happens 1 time during battle, so you basically get 1 time immunity to death for 5 seconds and that’s it, while Eternal Suit will give you revives with full health

  3. emerald pendant is actually pretty helpful because it doubles all radiation ring damage. so with the whole set except the belt(stylish belt is better) Could be super op. but for the boots, voidwaker boots will probably be better.

  4. today i got lucky and i got voidwaker emblem. but really, it works pretty nice so i think that its only teeny bit worse than eternal necklace

  5. I feel like you’re really hating hard on the radiation equipment and focusing on the shiny expensive equipment instead. Don’t get me wrong, the shiny new exclusive equipment is cool and all but speed buffs don’t really do a whole lot. Especially when you’re surrounded, the radiation equipment absolutely slaughters. Sometimes I can let my character stand in one spot and with the force field, molotov and guardian spinning all linked together with the exo bracer and the skill cool down reduction make you an impenetrable beast. Objects like bullets and cell phones get blocked from hitting you and the fire cleanses the ground of any poison. Everyone has their own play style and it sounds like you like to run around a lot but me personally i’m definitely the tank that rolls along at 5mph clearing most stages in the first go. It’s not as fast paced or exciting but you get the job done and if any monsters do manage to get close then you can worry about running.

  6. i feel like your leaveig the radiation group out if you have a full set its not that bad plus the radiation boots are a lot better then b teir + they do actually have speed buffs i feel like they should at least be a teir or s teir

  7. Metal Neckgard is S Tier. Because your first skill can also be your last skill + 60% and you will always have a weapon option, if still available, to choose from. That means your control over your first skill and and this skill staying your last skill is far greater then descripted.
