The Best TH12 War/Trophy/Farming Base Layouts (April 2024)

Town Hall 12 Bases – December 27th, 2021

War Base: this is my latest war base and it’s a symmetrical one, we hadn’t had that in a long time and this will still challenge attackers a lot and in my tests it needed to get cleared by a maxed attacker as all other Town Hall 12 attackers failed against it.

Trophy Base: I know this base doesn’t look as much but the way outside ring is so much outside that makes it hard for the attacker to build a proper funnel and the wide ring behind it will make it even more difficult – if you’re a maxed TH12 you can take this base even to Legend League and I promise you that it will cover your back.

Farming Base: with this double-ring farming base that has open sections on the perimeter you make it as hard for the attacker to build a proper funnel into the base and make sure that they will leave as many storages untouched as possible.

Town Hall 12 Bases – December 13th, 2021

War Base: a cool pathing and sectioning makes this war base a great one to take to your next Clan War or even CWL with your TH12 account. I have tested it in several real situations and no popular attacking strategy was able to crack it and there was always higher Town Halls that needed to jump in and get the stars out of it.

Trophy Base: with this base, I wanted to design a more unique core around a ring-base approach and it turned out to perform really well in my tests and I also think you can push trophies really far with it if you’re up to that with Town Hall 12. The storages are not completely on the outside but used as a kind of bulkheads to it’s not a hybrid base, rather a trophy base with some hybrid elements to protect some resources as well.

Farming Base: Initially I wanted to make a trophy base with this one here but I noticed how well it creates sections that don’t get attacked into that much so placing storages there makes a great farming base that will still also protect some trophies as well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – November 29th, 2021

War Base: offset core vertical line walls and more features will make this TH12 war base a nightmare to attack by other TH12, especially when using the standard strategies that you see so much right now – this base will eat them alive and defend the 3-Star easily unless the attcker is a higher Town Hall or is really good at adapting attacking setups (what only a small percentage of attackers is capable of).

Trophy Base: this trophy base is a ring base but the inner ring is with multiple compartments to make it harder for troops to actually get into the center and also force the attacker to use his spells earlier to keep troops on track. After all, work really well and although you might find this base looks pretty basic, it has more hidden features that will catch a good bunch of TH12 attackers on the wrong foot.

Farming Base: with this base you don’t have the storages all clutched up and the core is a defensive league on its own and the storages are in tactical positions to make it hard for the attacker to actually get them – even when sniping, there’s no way to get them easily.

Town Hall 12 Bases – November 15th, 2021

War Base: even this base doesn’t look as much a a war base with the symmetrical layout, I can tell you that it gave even higher Town Hall attackers quite some hard time in two wars where I tested it. If you see a maxed attacker that needs to jump in and waste an attack for the 3-Star, you know you did everything right.

Trophy Base: this ring base with the outside perimeter completely on the outside makes proper funneling hard and the way the base funnels towards the inside is really effective and you could technically use this base even in Legend League as a Town Hall 12.

Farming Base: with all the different compartments and sections it is tough to actually pathing the troops where they should go and this way you can protect your resources very well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – November 1st, 2021

War Base: I designed this base with a more symmetrical approach that makes it look quite easy in the first place but I can promise you that it will hold up well, especially in the upcoming CWL season. It will be extremely hard for any Town Hall 12 out there to get the 3-Star and in war you can expect that a more maxed player will have to jump in.

Trophy Base: a centralized Town Hall kind-of-ring-base concept with double-layer walls and intersections will give any attacker a hard time funneling the troops in properly, even at Legend League this base held up well enough to give you the needed backup for. a nice trophy push at TH12.

Farming Base: this farming base has a general layout of a trophy pushing base you see a lot, but the storages are arranged in a way that the attacker will not get them easily so you can stockpile some for you upcoming upgrades.

Town Hall 12 Bases – October 18th, 2021

War Base: this war base will be really useful in war to hold up against attacks from other TH12’s with popular strategies and force higher attackers to “waste” one attack on the triple. Worked great in two different wars so I’m positive that you will also get a nice benefit using this base.

Trophy Base: a double ring protects the core and the perimeter is also behind a ring. This base looks really cheap but I can assure you that I designed it in a way that many attackers will have problems with and I also tested it in Legend League with my Town Hall 12 account where it was able to hold up well.

Farming Base: this farming base has the Town Hall in an offset compartment and the Dark Elixir Storage as well as some other storages more in the core area. This will distract attackers from your main resources and it’s also useful if you want protect other resources than Dark Elixir as well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – October 4th, 2021

War Base: great war base with nice compartments design that will require the attacker to build a clean funnel along with a perfect-timed execution of troop deployment when he want to get something out of the attack. Even made a successful defense in war with this base because the attacker was too confident to get the 3-Star…

Trophy Base: I was playing around with some different ring base setups recently and came up with this layout here that turned out to work really well. Yes, it looks like a standard, easy-to-beat setup for TH12 but I have tested it even within Legend League where it was able to defend. Looks easy but means business.

Farming Base: this is also a ring base with intersections makes a great core-protection setup where you can protect some storages that you like. I have the Dark Elixir in the core in the above version but you can also swap storages as you please to get the upgrades done that you need to do at Town Hall 12.

Town Hall 12 Bases – September 20th, 2021

War Base: the bulkheads here at this war base makes it really effective against the current meta strategies and gave no 3-Star away to any other Town Hall 12 attacker.

Trophy Base: it’s not really a hybrid base nor a pure dead-serious trophy base with all storages on the outside. I wanted to create a trophy base that works effectively and you can push with at TH12, even up to the gates of Legend League, but also kind of saves some resources to make it not that expensive.

Farming Base: at first, this base might look a little too compact but it will loosen up the ends and storages quite well and keep your resources save, especially the Dark Elixir Storage.

Town Hall 12 Bases – September 6th, 2021

War Base: the core part of this war base with the way the walls are designed gave several TH12 attackers a really tough time and, after all, a maxed attacker need to step in to take this base down. You might play around with cc troops here but I found the Hound/Archer setup pretty decent.

Trophy Base: this base forces the attacker to go through o top part of the base to get the Eagle Artillery and everything else from there is set to give the attacker a bad time. By the way, I needed to use a war bae slot to take the screenshot so please don’t get confused, just didn’t have any home village base slots open to take the picture.

Farming Base: the offset Town Hall and the way things are arranged might make this base look weak but it’s actually a pretty solid hybrid base.

Town Hall 12 Bases – August 23rd, 2021

War Base: I don’t want to say that this base is pretty standard as it returned great results in previous war but there’s nothing outstanding from the other war bases you find here. All defensive mechanisms for war at TH12 are pretty much in place right now and that’s what I did with this war base to make it run really well.

Trophy Base: this trophy base is kind of a layered ring-base that misses some thing that a typical ring base would provide but that gave me other possibilities to get other defensive gadgets into the base that made it work really well, even in Legend League.

Farming Base: I admit that the previous farming base was pretty focused on defending the Dark Elixir so here’s one that also defends the other resources as well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – August 9th, 2021

War Base: at the first looks, this base seems to be symmetric but it isn’t at all. Not much to say here except that it worked pretty well in recent wars and even took a maxed attacker to beat.

Trophy Base: I got several requests for a TH12 trophy base with a centered Town Hall so here we go. It’s not necessarily a ring-style base but pretty close, the only way to design a solid base these days with a centered Town Hall.

Farming Base: although this base primarily focus on protecting your Dark Elixir in the core of your base, surrounded by dead zones, the other storages are smartly spread around the base as well to minimize the resource loss from every single attack.

War Base: I took this new war base I made to several wars through different clans and it was just working nuts. This TH12 withstood all attackers of the same TH level, also the higher ones struggled so hard that even a maxed one was required to clear it for 3-Stars… I hate giving myself compliments but this one was outstanding.

Trophy Base: this trophy base will work great for you with the outside perimeter and all the surprises waiting there for the attacker.

Farming Base: after the farming base last week was all about protecting resources, this one is more hybrid again with the Town Hall non-exposed. Works really well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – June 7th, 2021

War Base: this war base really got the attackers crazy in a recent war, and also the higher Town Halls had struggles dealing with it and this is, bottom line, the best thing that can happen.

Trophy Base: centered Town Hall with a dead zone layer backdoor is working really well against the current meta attacking strategies you will need to withstand at TH12 right now and this base can even get you up towards Legend League.

Farming Base: here I have a farming base design for you that has the Dark Elixir in the core but the other storages are also protected quite well in the different compartments of this base. The only downside you have here is that the Town Hall needs to be on the outside to make this work.

War Base: super-strong war base here that defends against the current attacking meta at TH12 and no other TH12 was able to get 3-Stars against it in 3 wars.

Trophy Base: this week’s trophy base is a hybrid base that doesn’t expose all storages on the outsides after many people asked me for a base like that.

Farming Base: with this farming base you have an offset Town Hall but that helps not only getting a shield easier, it also helps defending the storages really well.

Town Hall 12 Bases – May 3rd, 2021

War Base: this TH12 war base is a beast and was able to defend even against higher Town Halls really well and was a nightmare to clear. All current defensive mechanisms here work really well. Please make sure to use my recommended cc troop setup for the best defensive power.

Trophy Base: this base worked really well when I used in in Legend League and gave attackers a tough time, even with a successful defense.

Farming Base: after several requests I have designed this base to defend your Dark Elixir specifically with the other storages a little more on the outside. If you’re looking for a base that also defends Gold and Elixir better, make sure to use the farming base from last week.

Town Hall 12 Bases – April 26th, 2021

War Base: super-effective war base that even higher Town Halls struggled against and it takes a really strong attack of a TH13 to crack this base.

Trophy Base: the general setup is like many other trophy bases you find for TH12 right now but really effective in the way the compartments, defenses, traps and perimeter work together. You can use this base in Legend League without any problems.

Farming Base: what makes this farming base really effective is that it has four general sections and the path in the middle that will mess around with troop pathing and funneling really effectively while keeping the storages away from the attacker. Looks a lot easier to attack than it actually is.

War Base: a real tough war that even withstood some TH13 attacks until it was beaten, and that’s what you really want in war, right?

Trophy Base: this is a general layout you see frequently at TH12 but adapted with smaller intersections to harden the code area of the base, and with the Eagle Artillery offset you have an additional challenge for the attacker and limit the sides he can attack from.

Farming Base: this farming base is inspired by a ring base but the outside ring is divided into smaller sections to make pathing slower and also keep the attacking troops away from the core where you have the Dark Elixir Storage. The other storages are more on the outside so if you care about Gold & Elixir right now as well you might prefer last week’s farming base which also worked great.

Town Hall 12 Bases – February 8th, 2021

War Base: Super war base that even hold up  against higher Town Halls in recent wars.

Trophy Base: with this base I have a different approach that will use the mechanics of a ring base but has the Eagle Artillery in there to give the attacker a hard time attacking it. If the attacker fails he will not get even close to 3-Star, often enough failing even the 2-Star.

Farming Base: the base style with the roads towards the middle and the 4 corner islands is really effective at TH12 and you can also protect resources with it, like this base will show you. It will be tough for the attacker to get much out of this base.

Town Hall 12 Bases – February 1st, 2021

War Base: really effective war base that no other TH12 was able to crush in 2 recent wars that I used to test it. Nothing fancy when looking at it in the first place but solid defensive techniques against all popular attacking strategies you might see right now.

Trophy Base: although this trophy base looks lopsided, it has been delivering great results in Legend League with my TH12 base account recently and people really had trouble dealing with it, unless they thought outside the box (what, surprisingly, still many players even in Legends League can’t do). Even had successful defenses here and there with this base.

Farming Base: some of you wrote me and asked if I could do a farming base that put full focus on protecting Dark Elixir, so here’s that base. If you’re looking for a farming base that also defends other resources well, take a look at last week’s base below.

Town Hall 12 Bases – January 25th, 2021

War Base: A very smart war base with the extra section layers in the core that work efficiently against pathing and the section with the offset Eagle Artillery looks very weak but will give the attacker more headache than expected. No 3-Star so far against it.

Trophy Base: This trophy base has proven its worth in Legend League and although you have the offset Town Hall but not the regular compartment structure you would expect from bases that work like that. This has still a symmetrical core and makes it really hard for the attacker to score here.

Farming Base: This compartment structure is not symmetrical, something that you will see a lot at farming bases at TH12 – this makes this base really strong as the compartments are designed to drag attacking troops away from the important buildings.

Town Hall 12 Bases – January 18th, 2021

War Base: this war base might look like any random base and, I admit, it doesn’t offer any outstanding defensive things that you will recognize immediately. But it works really well. It even held up against several TH13 attacks in recent wars so give it a chance and you won’t regret it.

Trophy Base: this trophy base for TH12 is no ring base and also not a pathway base neither. It takes the best from both worlds and merges it together into a fresh and unique base layout that works really effective in Legend Leagues.

Farming Base: this farming base protects your resources by spreading the storages through multiple smaller compartments all over the base so there’s no easy “take-it-all”. Very unlikely that an attacker will take everything, especially the Dark Elixir Storage in the core is well-protected.

War Base: this is a war base I had really nice times during my last 2 clan wars because many attackers failed quite miserably against this base.

Trophy Base: This is a base you can use to defend your trophies in Legend League or also in CWL. It’s kind of reverted ring-base with the empty core that makes it really effective as a one-hit-style design becuase troops need to go around the core and waste a lot of time, no matter how well the funnel is built.

Farming Base: this farming base initially intended to become a war base but during my tests I discovered that re-arranging defenses with storages will make it the perfect farming base for TH13 that will defend your resources really well. Try it out, it really works fine.

Town Hall 12 Bases – January 4th, 2021

War Base: I have everything in defensive technique in this war base to give you the best results in your next Clan War.

Trophy Base: here I have a hybrid between a ring base and a classical war base, fusing everything together to really mess with the attacker (not in a troll-type manner, I mean really mess with the attacker). Building a solid funnel against this base is something most attackers have failed so I saw whopping positive results from my defensive logs using this base with my TH12 account.

Farming Base: compact core with small compartments around it makes this the perfect farming base if you want to protect your resources.
