With Shuri you can still build a lot of power and although itÄs more predictable, it still works and unless your opponent has something to directly counter in his hand, this deck is still alive and working.

Card Strategy for the Shuri Sauron Deck
Nebula scales great in this deck and is an easy turn 1 drop to put pressure on your opponent. So either she gains a lot of power or your opponent has to struggle a lot to lock her down. Ebony Maw is a great and cheap cost to play in general and if you use Sauron or Zero in him, you can get cheap 7-power without the lockdown ability he has. Cosmo is a great defensive card to play to defend your scaled up card from Shuri from any Shang-Chi that might attempt to destroy it (but can also use as disruptive card for your opponent’s combo lines). Shuri is the big enabler in this deck and doubles the power, so even without removing the debuffs from Red Skull when you can have their power doubles makes it worth. Red Skull will become a 24-power card for 5 energy through Shuri, Kitty Pryde can be supercharged or you can build a high-power Vision that is flexible on the last turn. Taskmaster can duplicate the power gained with Shuri to another location and give you more flexibility to actually find your win condition. Red Skull is basically the card you make a 24-power card through Shuri. Try to get rid of his negative ongoing effect before playing him and you can scale him well.
