Below you will find the best order to unlock and level up skills by how useful they are so you don’t have to level the skills up one by one and spend a lot of extra sculptures on it. This will let you use this commander earlier and also saves you important Universal Sculptures in the long run!
Your sweetspot of skills to make this commander useful is: 5115 and this is the recommended way to get there:

Best Troops

Tomyris is all about archers. Her 3rd skill will only apply to archers and her talent builds are also prioritizing the Archer Tree heavily.

Still, there’s no skill that require her to only run archers, so you can also use her with a march of all troop types but try to take as many archer troops with her.

Best Commander Pairing for Tomyris

Frederick

Baibars

Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc

Edward of Woodstock as the primary commander to pair with Tomyris, you will get increased skill damage from Tomyris poison and debuff as well. This setup works well to rally (earlier kingdom stages) or open field (See full build here).

El Cid is also a viable pairing for the archer synergy and they work well together as well (See full build here).

Frederick is also a viable pairing that adds quite some durability mechanics and nothing in their mechanics work against each other (See full build here).

Baibars is a potential epic commander to pair her with for very early kingdom stages rally action (See full build here).

Joan of Arc is a epic potential pairing to brawl the open field with Tomyris (See full build here).

Best Equipment Forge Order

In terms of equipment, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Tomyris. There are different builds for wherever you are right now, from beginner to veteran:

Best Talent Tree Builds For Tomyris

Below you will find the talent tree builds for Tomyris that make sense when running as the primary commander in any march in Rise of Kingdoms. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.

So, let’s have a look at the talent build with some additional alternatives and also the recommended order in which you should spend your talent points on Tomyris.

Please note that this is a build that you want to use in the open field rather than for rallies – but I have some annotations at the end how to modify this talent build if you want to use Tomyris as your primary commander for rallying.

First of all, go into the Attack Tree and get Burning Blood and Lord of War – both are great talents and the extra rage is helping for sure to get her primary skill cycled more frequently. From here make your way to Effortless which is, on my opinion, the strongest talent you can get in this tree. Many find in less appealing because it takes some time until it the full buff will apply, but most battles are long enough to get that buff.

Then go into the Archer Tree and get March Speed, especially in the open field you will really need this as lot. From here make your way to Venomous Sting which really walks hand in hand with her poisoning skill.

After that, get Rapid Fire and Arrows Knocked and make your way up all the way to Whistling Arrows – this talent might get squishy but when it procs you will get an awesome boost and chances are okay for the amount of buff it offers.

Razor Sharp is now also a talent that you want to get as well as Full Quiver.

With your last points you can now go into the Conquering Tree and get Buckler Shield which has an awesome damage reduction as well as Moment of Triumph that will boost your damage quite well for the beginning of a battle.

If you want to go more into rallying with Tomyris, you want to swap out Moment of Triumph in the Conquering Tree and Full Quiver in the Archer Tree and rather get Fight to the Death, it’s simply more helpful because you probably won’t last the 90% strength very long.

Best Formation + Armaments

Formation and Armaments are supposed to work perfectly with your commanders kit or you will find yourself very quickly in a disadvantage on the battlefield – and with so many variations it can be tough to stay on top. Here is what the works best in today’s meta:
