Best Troop Types

Bertrand either full with magic units along Tohar unless you use them for defense, then you have the full rainbow of troop types most of the times anyway. But for everything outside defending only magic units.

Best Hero Pairing for Bertrand

Tohar is the best and obvious pairing since he is the only magic hero that can provide the skill damage to trigger Bertrand to create the marks he needs to blow off continiously. They two go along with each other the best (See full build here).

Liliya can work with him and do some damage but the way Bertrand will generate his marks will be a lot less compared to Tohar and this should be more of a temporary backup pairing (See full build here).

Velyn is pretty much the same as Liliya here with the kits not perfectly fitting together but still if you don’t have Tohar you can think about pairing with Velyn and they will get along, just not perfectly fine (See full build here).

Below you will find the talent tree builds for Bertrand that make sense when running as the primary commander in any legion in Call of Dragons. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.This is the ideal talent tree when using Bertrand along Tohar to increase the buff effects and stacks. If you have the season talent Subjugator, you should also use this with any hero you pair him with for the best performanceIf you pair him with any other magic hero (actually also with Tohar works) and you are looking for a more skill-damage riented, balanced build that works in PvE and PvP, this is the ideal talent tree to use.
