Best Heroes in SOULS (Tier List) – with Elara & Kyle

With many different heroes available in SOULS, Habby has created a very interesting gacha roaster of heroes and you have a lot of tough decisions to make which heroes you will spend your time and resources on to develop.

I have created a tier list that I frequently update to show you which heroes are good all the time, which ones will be good toward the end-game, and which ones carry in the earlier stages of SOULS.

Update! I was lucky with pulling unnormal Elara copies so I was able to really test her early, so you find her added below so quickly.

What Are The Best Heroes in SOULS?

Alright, below you will find the full list that I frequently update that will show you which heroes are good and shich ones rather mediocre. Please mind, if you use the ‘Show More’ button you will see the individual rating based on the different Chapters as some heroes perform really strong early in SOULS and then fall off and some are rather lowballing at the beginning and pick up in later Chapters.

New! Please check out my new team builder for SOULS here + the best setups for Cave of Abyss here. Also, if you enjoy SOULS, you might be interested in AFK 2: Journey which I enjoy playing a lot.

He stuns the backrow, he heals himself, he scales his damage up and reduce damage taken based how much HP he has left. The only thing bad you can say about him is that he is selfish in terms of not providing anything for the team but by himself he is the full package of damage, sustain and control. I mishgt adjust his rankings a bit at a later stage but I feel quite comfortable that this is about the region he will be finally ranked in..

Where should I start here? A tankthat shields himself based on the damage dealt is bad as the shield is just very weak. Gain more attack when HP is low, well a tank should become more sturdy with lower HP to give healers enough time to heal him up. And apply silence when dying?! Unless you're really close you don't see an impact here once your tank is down. Just the whole kit is not there and useful..

The stun and the emergency healing is great, but he is more an extra healer if you need to keep up some frontline (espcially something you have to do in later chapters). Earlier in SOULS you rather want a healer that targets the full team and not just the single hero that needs it most but in later chapters a single healer often enough can't keep your team alive and having this emergency healer is really important..

Several flaws- Her targeting and debuffing of the enemy with the highest ATK sounds great and providing energy when dying useful - but the damage is simply not there and she dies too often and fast for the energy she provides so I rather have an hero in my team that stays alive long enough to really make a difference.

Conclusion

I hope this list here helped you to see which heroes are worth building in the long run in SOULS and which ones you will replace at one point. If you have annotations or questions, please use the comment section below.

  1. I’m sorry, but I’m quite confused with the ranking of the heroes because it is quite inconsistent. Take Coco for example, in this list she is ranked as “S”. But when you click the “Best build for Coco”, she’s demoted to “A” rank. Can anyone please explain?

  2. Any advice on blocking heals? Especially HoTs and taking also taking down shields. Seems like not a lot of debuffers / dispellers

  3. Hi 👋 this list is super useful! Do you think you could write an article on the best team to have? That would be really cool, thank you in advance.

  4. This is such a helpful list. Thank you! Also, if you would like there are a few grammatical errors that I’d love to help you fix if you’d be interested in my help. No pressure of course. This is definitely the best tier list out there for this game. Thank you for making it!
