Best Build for Void in SOULS

Building Void in SOULS is making a huge impact on the performance and if you progress fruther to the higher chapters and don’t have everything in place with this hero, you set yourself up for a failure. For that reason I have below all things you have to mind when building Void to not get into trouble.

Current Ranking – is Void S-Tier, A-Tier, or D-Tier?!

Here is a quick overview of the rankings of Void for the different stages of the game. Please refer to the full tier list linked below to see the ranking of all heroes in SOULS and full evaluation and priority..

Best Position for Void

Position plays a huge role when setting up your lineup and putting Void in the wrong spot can have fatal consequences in SOULS. I know that the lineup has to adjust to the setup you’re facing, but in 90% or more of the times you want to place Void in the Back row of your lineup.

Best Rune Setup(s) for Void

Now let’s have a looka t the rune setup that you should run Void with. Of course, with all the differet runes, substats and divine options, there are a lot of different setups possible so we strictly tested Void with the different setups to show you which ones you want to go for.

Best Runes

The first thing you want to look at is what rune type you run, and there is a clear priority from our tests with Void:

Onslaught

Life

Resistance

Best Substats

But just the best rune is not worth too much if you don’t fit the right substats on it. Through enhancing you will unlock more substat options but they get assigned randomly (the amount depends on the rarity of the rune).

souls enhance rune and substats

Once you have the rune at the max level, you can then use the Change Option to select a substat you randomly change to another one:

souls change rune substats

Here are the substats you should prioritize (use the change option as often as needed to finally get the correct ones on it):

ATK
CoreATK is the center core stat for Void and here's how many times you should have it on your rune according to our tests based on rarity (red=legendary, purple=epic, blue=rare).

How to unlock

Rune Divine Upgrades

When refining and changing substats on a legendary rune, there is a small chance (around 5%), that you also unlock the Divine Upgrade, which adds a new ability to the rune. This is elementary for the success of your hero in higher chapters and need to work along their kit as well. In the case of Void these are the Divine Upgrades that you’re looking for:

Artifacts

Artifacts are the latest addition to SOULS and they let you improve certain parts of your heroe’s kit so they need to match certain traits and the class of your hero which can make it sometimes a little messy to see what artifacts work well and which ones not – so we tested them all and rank them so you can see exactly which ones are the best and which ones work alright. There are artifacts for all rarities here so no matter how progressed you are (I mean you have to beat Stage 12-40 to unlock them) you will find some here that will work with Void:

Conclusion

I hope this overview helped you building your Void to full potential and I will extend this guide in the future for other building options. If you have further questions, please post a comment below and I will be happy to reply.

  1. Generally, I think the rune Onslaught is unnecessarily overused.
It only equals two subs. Other Legendary runes with +ATK subs are valuable…

    Void deserves one.
    With ATK subs, even MoD.

His Active can do legit damage, if you let it.
    It heals everyone.
    His kills cannot revive.

    Adjacency never required.
He’s CC-proof, and cancels CC on two allies every round.
    He buffs allies’ Lifesteal.
He debuffs the highest ATK’ing enemy’s Speed.

    HIS KILLS CAN’T REVIVE.
You want that in your locker before your enemies begin reviving repeatedly.

Void and Dextor are like Undead versions of Aolmond and Lulu; the first gives health, the second gives energy – but they protect and buff differently.
