Best Jan Zizka Builds (Talents, Skill Order, Pairing & Equipment) In Rise of Kingdoms

Best Troops

Jan Zizka has a lot of strong buffs for Cavalry and with the pairing it gets more about Cavalry – so, before over-thinking it too much here, you want to run Jan Zizka with only Cavalry, if possible (espcially when you pair with Nevsky) or at least as much Cavarly as you can get.

Best Commander Pairing for Jan Zizka

Yi Sun-Sin (YSS)

Alexander Nevsky is an exeptional pairing that will bring the best results as Nevsky’s 4th skill along with Jan Zizka will buff up skill damage taken by your target by 60% so the skill damage Jan Zizka puts out combined with Nevsky will punish enemies so heavily it hurts. It’s odd that the best pairing is a non-garrison commander but it’s just amazing how well their synergy works. Jadwiga is the other obvious pairing as you have two cavarly garrison commanders to use along each other and don’t get me wrong, they work really well together but have the downside that you have to run 100% cavarly in that setup or you will be missing out on a lot. But especially against Archers this is a really strong setup. Yi Sun-Sin (YSS) is also a pairing that has a lot of potential and, although not as synergy-loaded as the pairings avobe, one that works well. – -. – -.

Best Equipment Forge Order

In terms of equipment, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Jan Zizka. I have tailored this priority order that you can follow step-by-step to prevent forging and running equipment that is not useful or only provides a very small improvement. Follow the equipment path step-by-step and you will have the best and most economical gear:

Sharp Longsword is a great and super easy to get piece of equipment and the +5% defense for cavalry optimal

Coarse Breeches also a super low-hanging fruit here with extra attack for cavalry units

Milanese Plate is the very first chest piece as there is nothing prior that makes sense equipping for cavalry

Bronze Bracers are not the greatest equip gear overall but they give some cavalry defense and are the first viable option for this slot

Helm of Fear is the first helm piece to craft now. It has attack, which is not the best to have that early and you rather want defense but you can at least get some attack bonus from it

Edged Boots are the last open equipment slot and should be the last equipment piece to equip since the small attack bonus is the least benefit here, but it gives a litte extra attack on cavalry so it's worth it

Vanguard Halberd should now replace your white weapon and it is incredible good for a green equipment offering a good defense boost that you really need at this point

Vanguard Greaves are your choice here and with the Vanguard Helbred in place you will also get the additional set bonus so you have all green equipment now with a nice bonus and good amount of total stats

Windswept Boots are the first blue gear you should equip after you have all equipment above equipped and it's an incredible gear piece where every stat is on point

Windswept Bracers is the next equipment to replace the Bronze Bracers and it will give you great stats with health and march speed that is quite perfect + you will get the small attack buff as you now have two Windswept gear pieces active

Horn of Fury is a accessory that fits so well with Jan Zizka with the extra rage that will help you fire off that primary skill quicker and cycle through it more frequently. Espcially as he is buffing skill damage, this scales quite well with him.Ring of Doom is just an incredible accessory to run as you have the chance to deal extra damage and this works really well with Jan Zizka as well as you also increase the skill damage.

Best Builds For Jan Zizka

Below you will find the talent tree builds for Jan Zizka that make sense when running as the primary commander in any march in Rise of Kingdoms. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.

There’s only one talent tree build with Jan Zizka that makes sense and should be used and this is it. There’s no real order in which you should invest your talent points as you should not even think about using Jan Zizka as garrison captain without having him fully maxed (and using this build). Please mind that this talent build doesn’t even include the talents that work really well against archers as they aren’t really needed as all Jan Zizka setups already do so well against archers out of the box.
