Best Troops
Thutmose is all about archer troops and although he doesn#t require you to bring archers exclusively, bring as many archers as possible to make full use of his potential. If you use my recommended archer talent build with him, you#re required to only bring archers to your march (that’s what I recommend after all).
Best Commander Pairing for Thutmose

Boudica (Prime) is a pair that works well with him but it#s more a theoretical pairing here that I have here because many people as about it. The reality is there are a lot of better pairings for Boudica Prime than Thutmose so take this with the grain of salt I pointed out. Ramesses shares a lot of archer synergy with Thutmose and can be a viable pair that works well for the open field for the time being them being good commanders in newer kingdoms. Yi-Seong Gye (YSG) with his area damage and buffs is a natural pairing and both are about archers. A really nice pairing to roll and one of the best for KvK Season 1. Mehmed II is a good early-game legendary pairing and he will give nice buffs and area damage with thutmose is on point. Run Thutmose as the primary commander for the archery benefits with an archer march. Sun Tzu is a great early-game pair with Thutmose and you should use Sun Tzu as the secondary commander as you want Thutmose for the archer treats and Sun Tzu only has small infantry health buff. Both deal area damage and can be combined well together but, again, this is a early-game pairing.

Best Equipment Forge Order
In terms of equipment, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Thutmose. I have tailored this priority order that you can follow step-by-step to prevent forging and running equipment that is not useful or only provides a very small improvement. Follow the equipment path step-by-step and you will have the best and most economical gear:

How to unlock
In terms of artifacts you shouldn’t expect too much as when you can run him there are not really great ones available to you:
Call of the Loyal makes most sense here for the simple reason that you will not have viable artifacts available when this commander is great and once there are better options available, you will normally use other commanders already so everything beyond this would be pure theorycrafting.– -.
Best Builds For Thutmose
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Thutmose that make sense when running as the primary commander in any march in Rise of Kingdoms. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate. This is the talent build that makes most sense for me with Thutmose where you use as many archer troops as possible until you have the meta talent in the Archery Tree unlocked (Whistling Arrows) and from here on only bring archers to your march. That’s a nice route to take as an early player in a new kingdom. In terms of ordering your talent points to invest, take Rejuvenate first to generate more rage, make your active skill come in faster and generate more rage by that skill coming in faster. This helps a lot. From here focus on getting any talents unlocked that will increase march speed to make your archer march as versatile in the open field as possible.
