Card Strategy for the MODOK Hela Discard Deck

Invisible Woman is one of the key cards here as you can use her in one location to get the craziest rotation going. She will reveal all cards last, so place MODOK on her and then Hela. What this does is that MODOK will not discard Hela but discard everything after the game ended. Then Hela is flipped and will bring all your discarded cards to the board. Also this happens after cards like Shang-Chi are played so if that works there’s no way you won’t win that match. Be careful, though, opponents like to drop Cosmo on Invisible Woman. Zabu makes your Jubilee, Ghost Rider and Hollcow cheaper to you can play them easier or have a backup playn if your Invisible Woman line will not work or draw. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Zabu here.
Lady Sif is a consistent discard card here as you can clearly see what card she will discard. Sometimes you need to take the risk that she discards Hela but Death is always a nice protection in hand. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Lady Sif here.
Jubilee can cheaply draw into something like Giganto, The Infinaut or Death. Even a Captain Marvel is a decent one. Be aware that she can also pull MODOK so be careful when he’s not in your hand. You don’t want to discard Hela with MODOK, that’s the worst-case scenario with this deck. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Jubilee here.
Ghost Rider is a backup to bring a discarded card back, espcially if you accidentially discarded Hela. If you bring back Hela it’s a miracle but still with the Zabu reduction to 3 energy a decent trade if you pull some other high-power card. Hellcow discards a lot but should not be used if you have Hela in your hand, it’s simply too risky to discard Hela. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Hellcow here.
Captain Marvel is a nice joker card to jump around and swing over a match and you don’t have to think too much with her what location your opponent will play in. I’m telling you that she will gain you some serious cubes. Attention! She will trigger BEFORE Dracula and treat Dracula as a 0-power card, so don’t use her on a board when your opponent has Dracula. MODOK is the scaler her, discarding your hand on Turn 5 to revive everything through Hela on Turn 6. You can either drop him on Invisible Woman and then Hela there for a clean revive or drop him somewhere else. Mind that you can’t play him when you have Hela in your hand or you will discard Hela, too. In that case, you can only hope for the best and play your Turn 6 draw. But that is rarely successful. Hela revives all cards you discarded, and there’s ton of discarding going on so if that goes well, you will flood the board with powerful cards and win most of the times. If not, well, be prepared to retreat so save the cubes. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Hela here.
Giganto is normally not a card you would play, but in this deck is simply exists to be discarded and then pushed to the board through Hela. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Giganto here.
The Infinaut is also a card you want to discard and then bring on the board through Hela, like Giganto. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with The Infinaut here.
Death is, like The Infinaut and Giganto, here for the power to be brough on the board by Hela but with 9 energy and no destroy effects in place, she also protects Hela from being discarded by Lady Sif if you have both in your hand. That’s a clever move to discard well with Lady Sif. Find more decks and synergy cards to play with Death here.
