Best Troops
Caesar doesn’t care that much about troop types, so you can bring whatever troops you find most useful without having to neglect any bonuses.
Best Commander Pairing for Julius Caesar
Yi-Seong Gye (YSG) brings the area damage and works well if you combine him with Julius Caesar in the open field. Cao Cao is also a commander that works well along Julius Caesar. Richard brings a lot of tankiness along Julius Caesar and this is a march that will not go down easily. Charles Martel is very similar apiring when it comes to sustain with Julius Caesar. Hannibal Barca can be a rally setup although there’s only a small time-windong in new kingsdoms before better rally commanders are available that this makes sense. You can build quite a hughe march with them together.

Best Equipment Forge Order
In terms of equipment, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Julius Caesar. I have tailored this priority order that you can follow step-by-step to prevent forging and running equipment that is not useful or only provides a very small improvement. Follow the equipment path step-by-step and you will have the best and most economical gear:

And for the artifacts the options are limited simply as Ceasar is not viable when better options become available and vice versa:
Call of the Loyal makes most sense here for the simple reason that you will not have viable artifacts available when this commander is great and once there are better options available, you will normally use other commanders already so everything beyond this would be pure theorycrafting.
Best Builds For Julius Caesar
Below you will find the talent tree builds for Julius Caesar that make sense when running as the primary commander in any march in Rise of Kingdoms. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate. For me, the best build you can use with Julius Caesar is this one here to rally things. If you haven’t maxed your Julius Caesar so far, this is the order I recommend to use when re-creating this build:First talent points will go into the Attack Tree and unlock Lord of War and Burning Blood. After that, you will make your path to Effortless, one of the most useful talents you can get in the attack tree. Now it’s time to head to the Leadership Tree and get on the right side to unlock Strategic Prowess. After that Fresh Recruits for a bigger army is your next goal. After that take on the sides the Armored To The Teeth and Armed To The Teeth talents.Finish The Leadership Tree with Close Formation and Name Of The King.Last points if you have Julius Caesar maxed will go into the Attack Tree again with Armored Joints for some damage reduction. For hitting cities with Julius Caesar this is an alternative build that you can use. First of all go over to the Conquering Tree first and get Buckler Shield and Moment of Triumph before you make your way to Entrenched, which works great hitting garrisons.Next up is getting Signal Flare and Marionette to unlock Meteor Shower over Tear of Blessing. Don’t spend any extra points in the Conquering Tree, they are better invested in the other trees. Now go to the Attack Tree and unlock Burning Blood and Lord of War. This time we’re not getting Effortless because we want to get Strategic Prowess in the Leadership Tree. If you hit the cities solo you can thing about swapping that and get Effortless instead of Strategic Prowess.Last points into the Leadership Tree where you want to unlock Hidden Wrath for some nice extra rage and Healing Herbs to Strategic Prowess (or not, if you got Effortless in the Attack Tree). If you plan to use Julius Caesar in the open field you can do that with this talent tree build here. Go into the Attack Tree and make your way to Effortless first, like in the other talent builds above.Next, get Armored Joints and Unyielding to be able to make your way to Last Stand to max out the Attack Tree. Now it’s time to go over to the Leadership Tree to unlock Healing Herbs and Hidden Wrath to gain some extra march speed after that. 6% isn’t the world but it will help you for sure. Now it’s time to unlock Strategic Prowess and Fresh Recruits. I don’t like Fight To The Death or Martial Mastery in the attack tree that much so I rather go for Armored To The Teeth and Armed To The Teeth in the Leadership Tree.
Conclusion
