If you want to make Tarnos perform at peak performance in AFK Arena, you need to run the right built. While many players think simply maxing out will do the trick (well, not too wrong), there are certain sweetspots with Tarnos that will give a big boost so I have some recommendations below that you will very likely find interesting.
Tarnos’s Signature Item should be at +30. The problem with Tarnos kit is not that this Signature Item is not working well with it, it does. But when the level deficits get bigger, he will simply die so fast there’s no difference if he has it or not and just for the stages where the level deficit is low, well, it’s a hefty invest…. Furniture Recommendation
Overall it’s recommended to get Tarnos’s -/9 furniture set bonus. Tarnos furniture perks work and make him more sustain but his overall mechanics make him good as long as level deficits won’t get too high – but that’s where you need the furniture actually and he will die before he can make use of it. So nothing I can recommend right now for normal players – but as he is a whalte PvP hero you should invest completely all-inn if you do competitive PvP If you want to learn more about in what order to unlock your heroes furniture sets, check out my furniture priority guide here.
Recommended Artifacts
Carnage is the best artifact to run with Tarnos in most cases, although you can also consider running Duras Blade or Pauldrons of Burning Fury as backups, depending on your team setup and what artifact you have available.
Engraving
In terms of Engravings, your final goal should be E60. (but you can also get the first sweet spot at E30). As he is a whale PvP hero and nothing else, you will need to get all the additional stats from engravings to make him competibale (and that’s the only reason why yu should invest in him after all) Learn more about my recommended engraving priority here.
