Best Shadow Manticore Pet Build (Skill, Attributes, Pairings) in Call of Dragons

With war pets in Call of Dragons you have a very tough task as you can have literally countless variations of attributes and skills on them, so I decided to make a in-depth build guide to show you what heroes to pair Shadow Manticore with, what skills works well (and not just the very best ones that ony 1% of players are able to have), what attributes you should go for before building a copy of Shadow Manticore and some background that you should know.

Best Attributes

So, when you roll a fresh copy of your pet, the attributes you can potentially get when maxing it out are assigned randomly between the possibilities – but the attributes are normally also the multiplicators for the skills and talent so also important. So you can easily have a legendary Shadow Manticore but with pretty useless attributes and it will still, even with the perfect skills on it, only perform at like 50% of the potential.

Also make sure to check out the full tier list of all pets here to get a feeling which pet is worth it and which one is not.

Here are the three most important attributes you’re looking for:

Luck
Luckis the core stat of Shadow Manticore and this should be as high as possible before considering building that copy of Shadow Manticore. The Main Skill scales through it and as well as some other important ones. I know some guides tell you Strength is No. 1 but I believe it is Luck
Strength
Strengthpretty much as much important as Luck since all important secondary skills depend on scaling through strength, should be as high as possible as well
Agility
Agilityalthough many skills you use with Shadow Manticore scale through it, they are more the enhancements and not the core of performance ones so have it decent but priarily look out to have Luck and Strength high

Best Skills

Do NOT trust the ingame tooltips, they are bugged and give you absolutely wrong numbers in terms of damage scaling!

We tested them all and if you look at the overview you know how much there are. Here are the reults that show you how well each skill performs in reality to help you decide which ones are worth putting on your Shadow Manticore:

Please mind, you can only use 3 skills for each attribute (any additional ones simply won’t take effect!) which will require you to pick the skills and the synergies well. The big problem is, with the way you get the skills there is no one-to-rule-them-all setup so we created a map here that help you pick your skills according to the skills you have:

  • combine the skills with their cross-synergies so they enhance each other
  • ick the attribute types the way that they all stay effective

Sounds a lot? It can be, so we simplified your options below. Simply follow each of the main lines and make your choices (you can pick any combination of main lines, they are optimized so you won’t have any inactive skill in the setup):

Deals damage and heals a bit and that triggers all other skill synergies to go on and on is the kit of Shadow Manticore in a nutshell and this is what you want to have the skills build for

Best Heroes Synergies

Alright, here comes the important part, because having a great war pet is nothing when not using it with the right heroes and vice versa. Here are the possible heroes that makes sense pairing up with Shadow Manticore as war pet:

Maggrat
along Zayda are designed to use Shadow Manticore and perform like hell with it. If you build that march, build Shadow Manticore and you will see an incredible performance boost
Zayda
along Maggrat with Shadow Mnaticore makes sense. All other mage setups are only theorycrafting and not realistically viable

Conclusion

I hope this guide here helped you build Shadow Manticore the right away. Also, the way war pets work you will end up building multiple different ones so don’t hunt too much for specific attributes or skills but the above tips will help you to go very far in the right direction.
