Capybara GO has tons of gear and the way you would combine them together along with the skills to select make an incredibly big impact in how well your do and how many stages you can clear – below we have all the gear listed and ranked to show you which gear works best with what skill build (more on that below as well).
The developers, Habby, did a great job and I think Capybara GO! is the most accessible and well-rounded full idle game for mobile I’ve seen so far. While other games like Legend of Mushroom can be quite icky with their theme (like the mushrooms that grow into mange-like characters that fight in space might not be everyones flavor) or 7DS Idle that plays heavily in the 7DS universe, Capybara GO is fresh, cute and easy which I think will attract a lot of players to the game that wouldn’t have played those type of movile games before.
But Habby knows their stuff, I mean they brough roguelike games like Archero and Survivor.io to mobile which have been both incredible successes. By the way, also early in 2025 there will be Archero 2 globally released and I have to admit I wasn’t really that excited when I first played it but it has been growing on my big time!
Best Gear in Capybara GO!
There is multiple layers to answer that and if you want to break it down there is two aspects you always want to keep in mind when selecting gear in Capybara GO!
Gear always depends what build you go for with the skills you pick! But some gear is more universally strong as it works with different builds so you get more flexible. We try to give you the full picture what gear works for which builds. Please, check out our builds guide here to understand the full mechanics behind this.
Below you find all the different gear items and how well they work for the different skill builds – some work universally well and some are really special for certain skill build.
Weapons
Here are the weapons ranked. Please also always mind the ranking for the skill build you like to use
Tier A+Great for any Rage Skill skill build you use and has the cc effect which becomes more important later when bosses and strong enemies actually become dangerous to you.
Tier A+Really great since you can build so many synergies off the crit, the dagger or the extra rage so almost all builds benefit from it.
Tier A+Like all staffs oriented to rage skills with the bonus to focus down enemies below a certain HP percentage, so sturdy bosses.
Tier AAmazing for crit hits, espcially when paired with other gear that increases critical damage.
Tier AEnhances crit rate and damage which most builds can actually use well.
Tier AThe go to for any counterattack builds.
Tier AStraightforward but the special skills don't apply to skills which is a bit of a bummer.
Tier AAbsolutely ideal for any Rage Skill build since you can accumulate extra rage with it really well and it even restores HP after your Rage Skill.
Tier AQuite a hidden champion actually since the buff when fully merged (yes, that is the downside) works so well and until the end of the battle.
Tier AOnly strong if you build a burn-oriented build.
Tier AStrongest weapon for combo builds but that is about it. If you're not building something in that direction there is almost nothing else this sword offers.
Tier AGood if you go for dagger builds and skills but I think this weapon is a very specific niche weapon that excels in that very build.
Tier AGreat combo weapon if you go for those skills.
Tier AVery bolt oriented but once that rolls it brings havoc!.
Tier AIdeal for counteratttack builds.
Tier ALike the Frostbite Spear ideal for counterattack builds but more for the defensive one.
Tier B+Actually not really in the meta right now since it plays around poison and lifesteal which is an extreme niche build.
Tier B+Interesting mechanics but also pushes you really rough into the skill builds to use rage skills (ideally) with Sword Chi. You can make combo skill builds with it when you have the highest rarity here but overall not that great of a S-Rank honestly and extremely niche - also even if you do a build around that, you need to pick up the skills. I am not a fan honestly.
Tier BIt's not bad and if you build a very sturdy tank build it works... the problem right now just is there are almost no game modes that actually make such a build useful and in all other modes a tank/shield/timeout build is not just boring but also not working all too well.
Wear
Tier S+The best chestpiece in Capybara Go right now and if you can actually get the high rarities, you can use it with every build.
Tier A+Universally great especially since you can't revive without the quite rare skill. In other Habby games there is a watch-video-revive-once option that can help if things get close, but not in Capybara GO so this make sthis gear even better. Also it already triggers when fused to blue rarity.
Tier ABasically the best non-S-Rank chestpieece in Capybara Go right now due to the fact that you build mroe and more ATK that helps all builds to get their damage delivered.
Tier AIncredibly strong must-have wear for counterattack builds.
Tier C+Theoretically every skill build can use it but also it is not really that great. I mean it triggers and then you get the reduction which is alright... but it only last for 1 round so in the next round you either have your enemy done or you are done so the cases when this actually saves your battle can be honestly counted on one hand.
Ring
You can choose 2 ones here
Tier S+Pretty universally working since ice spikes have a place in almost all skill builds since the freeze effect is so useful.
Tier SI believe pretty much all builds and players can make good use of that with a reliable shield when you need it.
Tier A+Getting your picked up skills (this means NOT your Rage Skill!) is nice overall and universally working with most builds.
Tier AFor Basic Attack BUilds perfect.
Tier AReliable trigger and lightning works in almost all skill builds so don't be shy here, this can be a good fit especially since you have two slots.
Tier AIdeal only if you use basic attack skill builds. An excellent ring for that.
Tier B+Not bad overall but honestly other than the max HP scaling orange effect that is hard to get since you need to forge that S-Rank item a lot for that - there is nothing too special here that you can use.
Accessory
You can choose 2 ones here
Tier S+This accessory makes any skill build go wild with the true damage.
Tier SCan be great combined with any skill build and pets that use freeze or stun (like basic combo builds, cc builds) so this is quite a versatile one and the damage increase is MASSIVE.
Tier SPaired with Frostwind Horn a real winner since you can freeze and deal massive extra damage.
Tier A+Not just for basic attack builds (although they will heal. lot more here when combo is active) since all builds use at least one basic attack per round.
Tier A+TAke good care, this only gives the skills you pick up more damage, so basic attacks, counter attacks and your rage skills are NOT affected and many builds do depend heavily on them!.
Tier A+Crit builds benefit from it, which is primarily basic-attack-based skill builds.
Conclusion
