CSR was initially released in summer of 2012 and quite successful until CSR2 was released in summer of 2016.
For those of you who didn’t know that there is actually an early access for CSR3 out in several countries since 2024. The game there has been under several mayor reworks when it comes to the car upgrade system and the general economics of the game but the highlights are:
- no more tuning. Yes, no more micro-dragging pointers. Instead there is a so-called MOD system with parts you can install on your car (no worries, has nothing to do with cheating) that give more stats and extra abilities like Double NOS, less drag, mmore grip in lower gears etc.
- Turns. Yes we will have to time breaking points and races have different maps with up to 3 turns. Sounds a little weird at first but with the way the graphics make the race feel like a movie it is a lot of fun and a cool element
- No more Tiers! The cars have classes now that determine if they are good on straights, turns and….
- … wet and rough roads that actually have an impact on the car performance. Some cars do well on wet and rough roads, others don’t
Altogether I honestly have been really getting back into it at the end of 2025 and I really love it. The auto-race features can be used for races that are easy wins so you don’t have to manually race every race wven the ones where you smoke your opponents and the graphics are incredible. Like the cars switch tracks when using turns and it just makes fun to watch.
With the recent overhaul of the car upgrade system and the way mod parts work now I feel the game is on the final road for a release 2026 (I don’t have any official ties here so this is just my personal feeling). In 2024 and early 2025 the game felt really like a mess, I will be honest. But I am so glad the devs turned it around and it’s not just graphics, the events are a lot more creative than jsut racing one after the other and I think this game has really the potential to be the CSR game for the coming 10 years once polished. Csr2 is a great game been playing it sense it came out, but I’ll make a list of thjng that could be added or put in csr3, before start I’m also a console gamers and everytime theres a new game for need for speed or a call of duty , dont we all start over from square 1. Didnt we make the move from csr1 and csr classic.
List they need to add to csr2 or put in csr3:
1.Live lobby chat rooms so ppl can talk to eachother that they r in lobbys with.
2. Pinks slip races
3.buy and sell new/used car lot.
4. Crew hangout should have a team fund spot so if other crew mates need a few extra keys or cash they can help eachother out better.
5.we should be about to put body kits and do suspension lowing or heightening.
6. Add better ways to make a custom livery so teams can do a team livery and make there team logo stand out in live lobby when they rage different teams.

I would agree with every thing above it would make an already good game and competitive game to the next level of interaction and the ability to win pink slips would for sure fill the live race lobby’s and wouldn’t get stuck racing the computer or bot cars
