Far more than 200 characters and the effort to build a character correctly in Star Wars Galaxy of heroes make it hard to keep on track what characters are worth it which ones not that much, right?
For that reason I have below all characters in SWGOH ranked and with a description and a link to the optimal modding build so you can get all that easily and focus on what’s really fun – actually playing Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.

Era of Andor
All heroes for the Era of Andor - From February 10th until end of April 2026
Tier SSuper interesting stuff in her kit not just for damage but she has a lot of control happening as well and can blow off in a full rebel team. For sure one of the highlight characters in this era.
Tier BLooks like a heavy sidekick to Kleya honestly with her kit being super close entangled and conditioned. I mean for the sake of the era team building a cool team that does a lot more control and permanent buffing and debuffing but only if you#re willing to actually build your full team where she is the brick and not the showstopper.
Tier B+The executer assassin you want for your era special team where she benefits from the others status effect but overall not too impressive by herself.
Tier A+She is a very important puzzle piece in your ISB team with the way she enables and scales damage off other team members presence and needs to be in there if you want to do anything beyond simply debuffing enemies.
Tier ACrucial debuffer needed if you face certain high-impact setups with your ISB team.
Tier AGreat support for the ISB synergy with turn meter boost,speed boost and debuff cleanse.
Tier B+The last piece here as a defender whoe does quite some damage. At this point you know how the ISB allies scale each other off and you can decide if you want or need this last release character.

All heroes except the curretn era heroes, we wanted to hae them at the top for easier access
Tier S+Boosts ally mastery and damage immunity plus resets ally cooldown make his incredible versatile and hard to deal with. Easily one of the best characters in the game.
Tier S+High burstdamage output and some damage immunity plus his ability to steal mastery from enemies make him a god in the arena but overall one of the strongest characters in the game.
Tier S+Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka is a top-tier Dark Side Galactic Legend who is essential for high scores in the Order 66 Raid and excels at countering Jedi and Sith teams, though he requires his specific Scheme Team to reach his full potential in PvP.
Tier S+He is just an insane character in Galaxy of Heroes and for sure one of the strongest with his kit and the way he uses his Hired Muscle buff.
Tier S+Just a devastating attacker and his ultimate really make him snowball and with his linked effect weakens enemies heavily and overall incredible disruption abilities make the Sith Eternal Emperor one of the strongest characters in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
Tier S+Great leader tank and with the ability to deal true damage based on his protection he is a tough character to get through and with the emergency healing and protection also a very useful character for emergency support in your team.
Tier S+Very flexible and the way her cooldown work based on health opens a lot more possibilities with her.
Tier S+Stacks up and then oes powerful attacks and once against setups that debuff him he really charges up.
Tier S+Baylan Skoll is a meta-defining unit for competitive rosters that can handle the high entry cost, offering a reliable answer to some of the game's most difficult defensive setups.
Tier SCaptain Silvo is a specialized Dark Side Support and a mandatory requirement (at Relic 7) for Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka, serving as the team's primary turn-meter engine and sustain source.
Tier SStrong Sith Tank with a lot of survivability and the lower the health, the harder to defeat and great synergy with characters that apply shock and fear makes him a great but not too overpowered character in Galaxy of Heroes.
Tier SExceptional for PvE content honestly in many modes and even in the mid-tiers in PvP super interesting.
Tier SAmazing character for endgame players looking to lock down their Grand Arena defense, but she is generally not the best idea as an early or second Galactic Legend due to her extreme cost and reliance on rare Conquest units.
Tier SThe Force Leap is super powerful and can be used for any king of cheese setups to snowball through an enemy team by herself but also has nice synergies as well.
Tier SAmazing support with the revive and siphoning effects make Soctor Aphra one of the strongest support heroes in the game.
Tier SGreat counter to speed-based teams and great leader ability and with his massive Jedi buff for Jedi allies he makes an extremly strong character.
Tier SHis synergy with Light and Dark Side is already a huge bonus and his increased Force Energy is also really useful - in Arena he has the exclusive debuff which makes him incredibly powerful.
Tier SSuper strong kit with his debuffs and his built-in emergency healing when he falls low that makes him even stronger.
Tier SThe Purge and Hatred is nice, but she really shines with a defense debuff that is undispellable and her healing immunity + every time an Inquisitorious ally goes down, she instnatly defeats an enemy.
Tier SWith the additional ability in his turns and his massive buffs along 501st allies make him super strong. Needs the allies and team around that but if you have that down, he is incredibly strong and there is enough characters to pick for your team!.
Tier SHis self-damage might appear a little off at first, but the way he transforms that into damage makes him a strong and powerful damage dealer that empowers the Mandalorian faction well.
Tier SGreat buffer, that's it. Works great the way he does without having any very complicated kit.
Tier Sincredibly powerful attacker who excels at dismantling high-tier teams, making him a fantastic investment because his massive damage and ability to ignore enemy defenses provide huge value.
Tier Spacks a heavy punch, secures critical wins in competitive modes, and provides massive value to both early-game Jedi teams and late-game Galactic Legend squads.
Tier Scan defeat entire high-level teams almost single-handedly when paired with a Sith apprentice, making him one of the best investments you can make for your roster.
Tier A+
Tier A+Stuns and dispells enemy + protection for allies with his guarding and also deals very solid damage so I have to rank him up here in this tier list.
Tier A+Great synergy with Sith Empire characters and a enemy leader killer in SWGOH and his Fear and Ferocity are really interesting debuffs to work in many teams.
Tier A+Great stat buffer for Jedis and the advantage ability and can dispell debuffs and buff immunity which makes him a nasty package to deal with in many situations and against many setups.
Tier A+Good counter to speedbased teams and boosts Jedi allies with Jedi's Will enormously. Just overall a great character in SWGOH if you run a solid Jedi team.
Tier A+Very versatile as he works with many factions and and reinforces allies and confuse enemies make him a really strong character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
Tier A+Can damage armor permanently and reset the turn order plus speed for allies which makes him a powerful hero if used in the right team and against the right setup. Requires some finesse in using his kit right and he is no plug-and-play hero in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes but he can turn the tides of a battle.

Tier A+Great synergy with Clone Troopsers and her mechanic that make her gain energy when she takes damage can be used in many great ways so I rank her here in this tier list.
Tier A+Easy plug-and-play support character who makes any team significantly harder to kill by granting them extra health, protection, and the ability to revive.
Tier A+a high-damage powerhouse who transforms Mandalorian teams into top-tier contenders while remaining a versatile, dangerous threat in many different competitive game modes.
Tier A+she transforms the Nightsister faction into a top-tier threat and provides high utility across multiple game modes.
Tier A+solid tank to get because his ability to start a battle with a pre-taunt and steal buffs from enemies makes him useful for protecting many different teams beyond just his fellow pirates.
Tier A+General Syndulla is a very strong support hero who is necessary to unlock the newest Ahsoka and makes her team nearly impossible to kill by giving them massive defensive boosts.
Tier A+highly valuable character to invest in because she significantly boosts the health and defense of any Empire or Inquisitorius team, making her a versatile support piece for both early and late-game players.
Tier A+significantly boosts the power of various Rebel units and provides a massive advantage in competitive game modes like GAC.
Tier A+versatile powerhouse who significantly boosts Jedi teams in multiple game modes and remains highly effective even as you progress into the late game.
Tier A+makes several different teams much stronger by dealing high damage, applying critical debuffs, and providing valuable support.
Tier Ashe excels in PvE modes like Territory Battles but is highly team-dependent for PvP viability.
Tier AExceptionally strong support and damage unit for the Dark Side Clone Trooper faction, primarily serving as a high-powered offensive tool under Galactic Legend Lord Vader to hard-counter Jedi and Light Side Unaligned Force User teams.
Tier Aa meta-defining offensive unit for high-level players looking to expand their Grand Arena counter list, but his narrow synergy and complex mechanics make him a secondary priority for mid-game players.
Tier AGood cooldown reduction to storm troopers and has some burst potential but honestly not as strong in the game as the other characters above.
Tier AGood for dispelling buffs but not over great. Solid character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes I'd say.
Tier AReally important for Hondo Ohnaka team and good ultimate shield, outside of that specific synergy not too useful and easy to work with.
Tier AOverall a great attacker but the ally taunt to protect himself can sometimes go the wrong way and sometimes work super well. Not too easy to get to work in a team but actually a good kit.
Tier Amakes any Imperial Remnant team much stronger by dealing high damage and helping your allies take more turns, making him a high-value character for both new and veteran players.
Tier Ahigh utility and crowd control that benefits various teams, making him a worthwhile investment for most players.
Tier Ahe delivers massive damage and essential debuffs that make the entire Gungan faction a powerhouse in almost every game mode.
Tier Aversatile kit that deals massive damage and punishes enemies who rely on out-of-turn attacks.
Tier AGreat support character who is essential for the Galactic Legend Ahsoka Tano team because he grants massive stat bonuses to Jedi and Spectre allies and provides a powerful revive mechanic that keeps his squad in the fight.
Tier AGood investment because she acts as a highly durable tank who makes any Nightsister team much harder to kill while also providing valuable support that can fit into various lineups.
Tier Amakes the Gungan team incredibly powerful and is a dominant force in almost every major game mode.
Tier Aa powerhouse leader who makes the Gungan team incredibly difficult to beat.
Tier Aversatile plug-and-play attacker who disrupts enemies and deals massive damage.
Tier Agood tank who protects his teammates with massive health and stuns enemies.
Tier B+Stormtrooper Luke is primarily a niche utility character used to earn rewards in the 2026 Anniversary Era event and provide early-game Rebel synergy, but he is a low-priority investment for endgame rosters due to his limited damage and high resource costs.
Tier B+
Tier B+Captain Ithano is good primarily as a stepping stone for Galactic Legend Hondo and as a specialized counter for buff-heavy teams in Territory Wars and GAC.
Tier B+A strong character that serves as a lifter for Galactic Legend Lord Vader, providing the synergy needed to dominate both PvP and PvE content by enabling a full Dark Side Clone Trooper squad.
Tier B+Solid character that serves as a mandatory utility piece for the Bad Batch meta, providing the specific crowd control and targeting required to make the team viable against modern defensive setups.
Tier B+A must-have investment for any player looking to maximize the competitive power of their First Order roster, but for all other players not too interesting honestly.
Tier B+Important character for late-game players looking to complete the Mercenary meta, but she is a luxury character to build for most others until they are ready to invest in Baylan Skoll.
Tier B+The only bonus I give him is when used along Rey to make her invincible but that synergy also limits a lot as well so I rank him mediocre in this tier list.
Tier B+Useful to get rid of enemy stealth effects but that makes him the niche character in Galaxy of Heroes he is.
Tier B+Needs to be maxed to really ramp up his Purge effect which makes him, compared to other characters, probably not the first and best choice.
Tier B+Has to be used with Emperor Palaptine or she will pawn her allies. Works good in certain Empire squads.
Tier B+
Tier B+Some damage and some support but actually not the best of any world and you really won't need that kit but it also is not that bad.
Tier B+Good for the unresistable sith team debuffs but that is the shining point of her kit pretty much.
Tier B+If you run him in an Empire team, espcially with Darth Vader, he works well with his stacking buffs. If not, he is only mediocre and there are better characters in Galaxy of Heroes.
Tier B+With Sith leaders actually alright to get her support and control kit going, but overall not too crazy strong.
Tier B+Nice support and control with stun but also he can't do anything that stronger support characters in SWGOH can't do.
Tier B+His kit reads interesting but he scales through debuffing his target and if you're up against a setup that won't let that happen the whole team implodes.
Tier B+Can deal well with setups that rely much on counterattacks but that doesn't make him a great universal character in the game. Great if you do need him, though.
Tier B+Good in stealth squads in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes but that is pretty much the only case for her.
Tier B+
Tier B+The dispelling and reviving is nice but the way her tunr meter works can be a really pain and often enough not work properly and unless you really build a team around her she is quite squishy to handle.
Tier B+Marrok is a solid choice for your roster because he makes the Nightsister and Unaligned Force User teams much stronger in specialized game modes.
Tier B+The Great Mothers are an incredibly powerful addition to the Nightsister faction that you should definitely invest in because they can easily defeat some of the strongest teams in the game while making your entire squad much harder to kill.
Tier B+Solid hero because he provides powerful debuffs and high damage that significantly boost Bounty Hunter teams, making him a versatile asset for various game modes.
Tier B+provides great utility for any Droid or Bounty Hunter lineup through his ability to disable enemies and heal his teammates, making him a versatile addition to your roster.
Tier B+significantly boosts any Jedi team by speeding up their abilities and providing powerful buffs.
Tier B+significantly boosts any Imperial Remnant or Trooper team with consistent damage and powerful debuffs.
Tier B+significantly boosts the damage and survivability of any Clone Trooper or Mandalorian squad.
Tier B+his high-damage abilities make the Bad Batch team incredibly effective.
Tier B+high-powered legendary character who makes every Jedi team significantly stronger.
Tier BOutside of a dedicated Wookiee lineup or the Anniversary Era events, their effectiveness drops significantly, making them a niche investment for most veteran players.
Tier BNeeds to run in a Genosian faction squad to work well with summons and synergies.
Tier BHigh-value lifter unit specifically designed to maximize the performance of Galactic Legend Pirate King Hondo and Doctor Aphra teams, though his effectiveness is highly dependent on high investment and niche Pirate synergies.
Tier BAbsolutely essential for competitive players but otherwise pretty non-interesting.
Tier BNeeds droids that target lock or this character will not do well at all which I find very niche use case compared to the stronger characters in the game.
Tier B
Tier BOnly works with Huth Cartel teams as a cooldown reduction which is not enough to really shine among all characters of SWGOH.
Tier BNeeds 0-0-0 as ally as they are meant to work together and I am honestly not a huge fan of direct synergies like that although it works alright.
Tier BHis role switching sounds better than it actually is in reality and the only reason to run him is against Galactic Faction teams for the bonus that make him worth it.
Tier BUseful if you have unavoidable effects to come by but that is the onnly reason I run him in a team in SWGOH.
Tier BI really don't like the stealth swappig as why should you run him in a squad like that to give it up for buffs? Only good against Jedi tanks, that's it.
Tier B
Tier BNeeds to snowball to really become strong - but once that happens you're already there so hard to find real cases where you can use him well although he is not a bad character in SWGOH.
Tier BSynergies can be quite annoying to deal with and rather a Grand Arena character in Galaxy of Heroes.
Tier BRevive and damage immunity? Sounds crazy strong but at the end the synergies make it here that he is not too crazy overpowered.
Tier BNeeds Galactic Republic Jedi in his team and the form switching can be sometimes really annoying in timing.
Tier BMore cute than noticably strong. Needs synergy to work well but that limits her kit in so many cases as you probably struggle to make have those synergy heroes built.

Tier BNot bad and synergies are quite easy to find but works best with them when they crit and stun, otherwise just a filler slot in your squad.
Tier BNeeds to snowball with his buff to be worth it which sometimes can be very annoying to make work and also enough setups will just mess with it so he never takes off properly.

Tier BOnly good to deal with healing disrupptive encounters or if you need the revive but there are so many setups that can work around that you face that he is not that crazy strong overall.
Tier BI feel he does a little bit of everything support wise but also needs very specific squad setups to work.
Tier BCan't sustain enough himself so you need a support but as tank that makes his also not durable enough so what's the point?.
Tier BNeeds clone troopers and Echo to work well in a team, otherwise rather meh.
Tier BCan be strong but also very particular when - which is against enemies that act out of turn with extra attacks and against setups where Jedis buff speed. Super specific but there are situations you really like him.
Tier BMany player think super useless but I think actually decently okay and not terrible. Don't confuse with Resistance Hero Finn!.
Tier BNeeds to run with or against Bounty Hunters but with that he is actually pretty good.
Tier BI love the idea of ransom capturing in his kit, but it really depends what unit he captures to make him work great or not.
Tier BThe target lock is okay but also nothing too exciting at the same time, so average in this tier list.
Tier BNew hero but honetly not as powerful as it appears in the first place after testing him for quite some time.
Tier BGood protection but more often than not not needed that much really and doesn't provide much else for the team.
Tier BSummoned Rebel Trooper needs a lot of finetuning in your team setup to really work.
Tier BIn an ideal world great but actually too squishy to make her kit work and at the end of the day only useful to debuff high Tenacity setups.
Tier BNeeds a Mandalorian team and the taunting can sometimes go horribly wrong if your support struggle to keep him up.
Tier B
Tier BGood to disrupt enemy turn meter but overall not a universally good character in Galaxy of Heroes that you would throw into any team.
Tier BTanks,taunts, healt but none of that really that well to make it his main role - at the end only useful for providing critical hit immunity.
Tier BIgnores enemy protection but as tank I don't see really cases where you actually need that kit.
Tier BStrong with Rebel Scoundrels that deal AoE damage so the synergies are quite limited. If you build your squad and need an enabler in SWGOH, she works well, though.
Tier C+I love the kit and the presentation, no worries - but the kit has quite some potholes espcially with the timing when your allies have to take out the target while his torture is active makes him often enough not really do much.
Tier C+Really needs the Mandalorian synergy to work well and a team that works around her and time to stack up to actually deal damage. Absolutely not a plug-and-play character that works in every team.
Tier Cnot a good investment because he lacks the power and versatility to help most teams, making him a waste of valuable resources for the average player.
Tier Dweak, low-priority character because he lacks a unique identity and impactful abilities, making him a poor investment.
