I normally take some time here to describe the defensive mechanisms of the layout, but in this case with the Goblin Mines Level 1, I can’t comment much as you want to keep it very simple here as there’s not much unlocked that you can use.

The best bet here for you with this base is to try the Goblin Throwers being protected well and close down the bridges and entrances as well as possible.
