Best Attacking Strategies for Town Hall 18 (TH18) in Clash of Clans

So many different troops and attacking strategies can make one feel a little lost at times and if you are a veteran player you might stick with what you know although there is something better and newer players can be easily lost in the midst of what is the best attacking strategy easily when searching around.

For that reason we have here the current up to date attacking strategies that work for Town Hall 18 and how to execute them, broken down as quickly and to the point as possible.

Best Ranked Attack Strategy for TH18

I know that everybody right now is screaming about using the new troops and spells but honestly, that is quite a lot to upgrade and there are easier attacking strategies that work well with TH18 as well in Ranked Mode so why make you life more complicated than it needs to be? Surgical Electro Dragons are, in my opinion, the best way to attack in Ranked Mode at TH18 right now and this is the army setup I recommend:

To demonstrate how the attack works step-by-step, let’s play it through with an example base here:

① Snipe What You Got

You want to early snipe with a Rage Spell and 1-2 Electro Dragons defenses that will harm your attack. In this case, the Air Defense in the corner and the Multi Gear Tower are absolutely easy targets here to drop 2-3 Electro Dragons (IN TOTAL) at the position supported by a Rage Spell each.

② Archer Queen Snipe

Use the Archer Queen for value with her Giant Arrow and getting something like the Revenge Tower hit + several other strong defenses is a bonus. Also this builds the perfect setup so our troops can circle around the base later.

③ Barbarian King Funnel

Here goes the final funnel element with the Barbarian King and the Ice Golem to clear some of the corner

④ Send In

After that is done send in your troops and let them clear the base where everything comes together. They should always make a circle around the core (in this case counter-clockwise) to clear the base.

Best War Attack Strategy for TH18

Town Hall 18 will be released in a few weeks and we will update here the new strategies as soon as possible (very likely including a new troops looking at the release pattern the last couple Town Halls had here)
