This is the raid where you will find bangles, amulets and rings for your heroes and the guide I have seen for it are not that helpful for several reasons – one is that for earlier players you only see heroes recommended there that you probably don’t have and also a lot of heroes are recommended that are not that easily obtainable altogether.
But here is the good news… even epic heroes can work here so you don’t need the latest or event heroes to actually beat these stages if you use the heroes that excel here!
Important tip here: if you see your team being quite alive well but simply not being able to take down the enemies before they cluster up too much, you very likely don’t need different heroes you rather need to build your heroes up higher for that stage. Sounds lame but the reality is that the power levels make or break you in Gear Raid II.

Best Heroes for Gear Raid 2
Here are the heroes that work so go through your roaster and pick the ones that are available to you.
Healer/Support Heroes for Gear Raid 2
Not only deal the mobs great damage to ground heroes, also your ranged heroes will suffer from damage and the boss has a area damage. Long story short, without healers you will not succeed here and on top of that, with the little amount of positions you also need to scale up your heroes well to get more damage.
Melee Heroes for Gear Raid 2
Defender are important to protect your crystals since the mobs hot so hard on impact your fighters won’t last long. Ideally you want to place one defender in every land with a ranger fighter bhind it as backup tank and damage dealer. Also, there are not that many ranged tiles you can use, so your ground heroes have to do some work here
DPS Heroes for Gear Raid 2
While a big part of your damage comes from melee heroes, most tiles are set for healers and support and the little amount of spots available should be for heroes that deal well with the mobs that come along – where area damage is not as important and you rather want heroes with a hard-hitting ultimate.
Team Setup in Gear Raid 2 – Stage 1-12 Map
So, this guide gives you different heroes for different positions and roles and I also ranked them by how well they work. Still, if you pack 3 healers in there you will very likely will lack DPS and if you only put fighters in there you will lack survivability.
As a general rule you want to have 2x support/healers + 2x defenders + 2x fighter + ranged damage dealing heroes and here are the ones with my recommended positions:
Tier S+Can withstand so much and be your last line of defense on one of the crystals and save the day here if some timings go off wrong. A real security net.
Tier S+With his 1st Awakening down, he is one of the best heroes to use in GR2, there can't be two opinions, and he will keep one crystal lane secured for sure.
Tier S+Her Mana Spring is so useful to get your timing done that I classify her easily as one of the few mandatory heroes to use in Gear Raid 2.
Tier S
Tier SAlso shines in this Gear Raid mode as one of the few ranged damage dealers you can place on the map.
Tier SPrimarily useful for her execution ultimate when things get heated. Time that well and you will have a hupe relief in Gear Raid 2.
Tier S
Tier SNot just useful for her passive and lifesteal, also deals some damage and once awakened she excels a lot in GR2.
Tier SAvoiding fatal damage multiple times and great area of coverage makes him really great here. Gear Raid 2 is probably his best use-case in Watcher of Realms.
Tier SHas the perfect range for Gear Raid 2 and his healing kit simply helps so much keeping your team alive that you should run him here.
Tier S
Tier SHis great survivability helps a lot in making him work in Gear Raid 2 guarding and holding a line for some time.
Tier SWhile she really doesn't shine in most modes, her kit is basically designed for Gear Raid 2 and she can make a great healer and supporter here.
Tier A+He simply does what he does here, crit the hell out of any enemy although you don't really need that he can be really helpful.

I know there is no one-fits-all setup here so you have to adapt the heroes with your roaster and see how they work together – bottom line I feel this is still a much bigger help than the guides you see inside the game which I have a couple of throughts on that I rather keep to myself why certain creators are constantly listed there and why certain heroes are pushed in the recommendations.
