The car overall if for a reason a long-term top pick in the sports group, with great acceleration that nearly doesn’t stop and quite reliable starts if you do pay attention and launch in the perfect zone. Entering drifts is pretty precise as you would expect it from a German sports car and exiting corners also feels very smooth without any dropouts. So, amazing car overall but in the sports group it fights with the weight and size a bit, espcially in very narrow turns and understeer is an issue so you have to break a tad earlier than with other sports group cars and prevent leaving the main track as it will respond less precise when off the road.
How Tuning For The Mercedes-AMG SL 63 In Racing Master
Tuning is really straightforward with this car as you already will feel really good about it on the stock settings honestly and with a few minor adjustments, it gets extremely reliable and with some practice and a weapon on the track.
Before we hop into the tunes, here are some important things to always keep in mind when it comes to tuning in Racing Master:
Tuning your car is more important than just improving stats, each car drives very individually as it has size, horsepower, front/rear/all wheel drive, weight and so much more. Most players make the mistake to tune for stats! That is wrong! If you just go after what tune setting gives you the most extra 0.1 or 0.2 here and there, you are setting yourself up for failure.
Let’s make an example here (it’s not for the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 just to show you reality and where player go wrong so many times) – the first tune would be according to what improves the stats most but it actually made the car literally un-drivable. Much slower than with the base tune. With the right tune the stats don’t look too different, but it improved the overall car performance dramatically and gave it more than 5 seconds better track time.
To make this even more difficult, you only have a certain amount of free tuning per car, after that the game will require you to spend resources for more tuning so simply testing trial and error is getting expensive on top of that. Also some ECU-Levels do unlock hidden traits that are not that obvious that require different tunes. Long story short, we spend a lot of time testing cars on many accounts to give you the result so you can spend more time racing and less testing.

When tuning you want to mitigate the weaknesses of the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 but also hightlight the strengths of the car. Some of those are obvious, like top speed and acceleration, but the rest of the settings are working a lot more under the hood in how they impact the cars behaviour.

Trouble Finding EVU? What is ECU?
If you get duplicates of a car you can use the duplicates to raise your ECU Level. The ECU Level goes from ECU 0 (unlock the car) to ECU 5 and each level will give your car a massive boost on top. You can see the ECU level of your car here:
