There are a lot of characters (or how they are called inside of Dragon Traveler, luminaries) and all have very different skills and talents – some excel in the early stages, some later in the game in other game modes. Some of the heroes are useful right away, other needs some star-ups to be super strong. We have a good picture below which ones deserve your attention and which ones should not be invested in too much as they are not worth it in the long run.
Looking at how much time and resources it takes to build a hero, this should help you decide which ones you invest in and which ones you can rather skip.

Alright, below you will find the full list of all the heroes I have evaluated and tested so far in Dragon Traveler and if you open the ‘Details’ of a hero, you will see a short description and how they do in certain game modes.

Tier SGreat defense and self-sustain through dodge that she also provides for allies. I know every new luminary is always tagged S+ by the developers and she is good - but she is not as mandatory as others so if you feel you need to step back a bit from pulling, she can be an option to skip if you feel your elemental or otherworld teams have solid enough frontline.

Tier S+The most busted luminary right now, espcially with the Purple 3-Star untargetable buff at start she sets the record straight for PvP and is just overall THE unit to have.
Tier S+The way she can act first and doesn't consume mana and the incredible amount of damage she deals make her an absolutely must-pull luminary honestly.
Tier S+A lot of damage, buffs and control and easy to pair up. Really recommended for all modes honestly.
Tier S+She literally counter the prior SSR EX luminaries like Athena, Sea God, Hades and War god, espcially when used along Spimo which makes her clones incredible powerful.
Tier S+Massively huge soaking damage with her shield, also from allies and even deals some damage herself which is always useful. Essential for all PvE modes and also viable in arena. One of the must-have characters early on.
Tier S+With her revives she can do a lot in PvE, like a more flexible Athena and in PvP she can self-sacrifice herself for utility in the right compositions. For sure a hero you can do a lot with.
Tier S+Suppresses enemy crit and steal stats which flips the ties a lot as this is often the enemy backbone of damage so her dynamic are less in just soaking damage but stripping the enemy team where it really hurts.
Tier S+Incredible support buffs and debuffs and with ignite and healing block you can really use her well. She does require a healer along her side though but if she would also have healing she would be too crazy so I get that. Good support to have and flexible for many situations so for sure another luminary banner that is hard to skip as she enables damage so well for many PvE comps and in PvP she has the healing block (that also works well in PvE content where you need it) and the useful cc effects.
Tier S+Her team protection is pretty amazing, espcially with either adding a lot of damage or taunting enemies from backline allies with a ton of shield and damage mitigation. No matter for collection reasons or because you want a good guardian, she is a luminary worth it honestly. If you have been good with guardians in the previous banners and feel like survivability is not the biggest issue you have you can skip her but I think just for how flexible she can work you want her after all in your roaster.
Tier S+Core enabler for summon setups as she reinforces tham but also she can tank, heal and her DPS output is not too bad as well so she is really a luminary that points the way to the future of the meta that will be summon heavy.
Tier S+She has incredible opening protection, even increases enemy energy cost + her own fatal strike survivability makes her very reliable in her shielding and protection. A little more geared towards PvP but also in PvE a great addition to your lineup and honestly, if you have a guard spot open in your roaster that you're not too happy with, she can fill in although her synergy with Sanctum and Illusion is not too easy for many players so check if you have enough other luminaries there to make synergy.
Tier S+With her comes the party to her elemental teams, once you can build her in a team with allies that can trigger the elemental reaction, she blows off so incredibly it is a blast to see. She will elevate your team damage output with the right team members (elemental reaction with affinity!).
Tier S+
Tier S+Great healing and can deal with most damage dealers very effectively, espcially in PvP.
Tier S+Absolutely must-pull almost. Amazing healer and key buffer for your main DPS and even provides control immunity. You really want her on your team!.
Tier S+Super strong character but also needs some star-up to really get her kit on the road so don#t be disappointed when you run her with 1 copy. Go broke on her banner will set your progress up for a while.
Tier S+Crazy damage and ultility and extremely powerful and can prevent death up to twice to protect allies.
Tier SNot that she is bad, but compared to other top EX luminaries and also other SSR+ warrior luminaries she is not as overpowered as it might seem and she really needs her elemental affinities team to have her triggers to enable her kit which sometimes puts you in a weird place in terms of team building compared to others. For most players not on the horizon of EX luminaries to build honestly.
Tier SAbsolutely powerful in PvE with her healing block and single-target stuns. Can be quite easy disabled in PvP but for PvE when you have those healing-heavy setups she does wonders and will help you push on higher deficits.
Tier SShe honestly is a good and universal tank and with how much the lineups spread one that comes in useful but it also depends on your roaster if you feel you're totally fine on the frontline so far you can skip her unless you play in PvP and really need a counter to a dark team, shich she counters so hard it will shift the meta a bit. But for the average player that has no issue with the frontline she is not a must-have although she is good so having her is nothing you will regret.
Tier SAbsolutely great hero to pull in her banner. She works so well with her shield and support and even ult cost reduction. Plug-and-play boost for every team pretty much.
Tier SSuper strong damage that always hits enemies and worsk against multiple target or against single target with super short cooldown to spam her ability. Amazing character to have early on in Dragon Traveler.
Tier SHer clones and mechanics as assassin give the enemy team pretty much always a tough situation to deal with and she can even deal at low health with a full remaining team to turn the tide in a battle around.
Tier SSounds more powerful than she is in the greater scheme of things. Her power is being a little longer range than regular assassins (which is weird) and sustain which comes from lifesteal. To get that high you need to pair her with luminaries that steal enemy stats and healing reduction on targets also would be nice. She has incredibly utility when paired well and that makes her for many players, simply to what they have, rather a skip.
Tier SEffective enemy backline sniper as she can bypass shields, lock on to targets and then burst them down which is so effective a lot since what hurts you most is always in the enemy backline and easily being able to target that is often disrupting the enemy team where it hurts the most.
Tier SInteresting how her self-shielding works also as damage boost but you have to build her to stack her shields up a lot and then she deals great damage + also reliefs your support as she can carry herself most of the time. In PvP not good as there are too many interceptions that will reset her kit.
Tier SIncredibly strong with her control and can hold up herself pretty well, too. Absolutely worth getting honestly.
Tier SAmazing burst DPS. Upside is she does output damage constantly even without relying too much on her ultimate but she also only targets one target so that takes some flexibility. Still she puts green teams so much higher on the versatilaty scale that getting her makes sense.
Tier SHer kit reads less powerful than it is, espcially with enabling life steal and cc effects she is absolutely strong in pretty much all modes and one of the few main carry in PvE mode.
Tier A+A couple things here before we scream top-tier luminary again and honestly she is hitting like a truck but also a glass cannon that is very support demanding and less frontline than advertised. She hits hard and buffs quite well but that is about it and honestly I see her less of the swiss army knife for all modes than some would like her to be and for most players I actually think you can rather skip her.
Tier A+Amazing damage dealer for green teams and if you lack that for sure a pull that helps, but if you are building more miexed teams or you already feel your team is good enough in terms of core burst for bosses and tower, she is not necessarily needed.
Tier A+Added to the regular summon pool (which is pretty nice) but before you go absolutely crazy pulling for her... she is good but primarily in PvE content where her knocking enemies effect can really play out well and ideally she needs to paired with a well-built Sea God so you can take your time here with her, she is a great SSR+ in the regular summon pool but none that will blast your roaster through the roof right away.
Tier A+Used with Loki makes the clones incredibly powerful, without her Lokis clones are literally useless so they kind-of-go together and that makes ranking her difficult but consider this ranking here for using her WITH Loki and if you don't have Loki I don't see much of a point building her at the current state.
Tier A+Amazing healing and support and belongs pretty much in every team. Strongest priest character in Dragon Traveler.
Tier A+Also a good healer that also provides morale. No worries with her hp reduction, she heals that back up pretty much immediately.
Tier A+Once you reach Resonation II for all classes (earliest Day 11 after your server opens), this hero will become available. Great for her healing block and reduction as the further you progress you will run into setups that have too much healing and there she is the can-opener.
Tier A+A lot of control but only available from the Divine Shop and needs high manual playstyle to be effective. Honestly more a character to use as a can-opener when you're stuck at a certain stage to manually clear it with effort.
Tier A+Can be super nasty to deal with when her healing suppression and health draining hits enemies hard. Not in every situation but she is very close to the top characters in Dragon Traveler.
Tier ACan be main DPS for green teams in PvE modes and for dark teams in PvP but there she is not that great as some sources list her honestly so be careful with investing.
Tier ATank with damage and healing suppression - not always the best but if you need a secondary tank to counter control effects, he will do.
Tier APure tank with aura that protects your team from crit bursts. Not super unique but works as exactly a tank if you need one.
Tier B+Available for free form the 7-day login through the half-year anniversary. Her mechanics to gain rage through losing health. Not bad as filler in some PvE teams but needs constant support attention and her overall damage output is not necessarily that great. If your teams are full and work, she is honestly not needed so do not invest too much into her.
Tier B+Once you reach Resonation II for all classes (earliest Day 11 after your server opens), this hero will become available. Is alright but with Gabriele and Ifrit as first banners there is not too much point for her by the time you actually have access to her.
Tier B+Once you reach Resonation II for all classes (earliest Day 11 after your server opens), this hero will become available. She is quite restricted for her kit to work with very specific team setups. Not too crazy honestly and you normally get the Vivian banner before you unlock her so go for Vivian instead as key healer and support.
Tier B+More early game in Dragon Traveler than later honestly with solid damage output and low-cost interruption and if she can stay in range also survivability against chip damage. But not a character that will last in your main squad for too long.
Tier B+Bursts like crazy early game and clears all away. Falls off later but still has some use in end-game modes.
Tier B+Nice and helpful assassin to deal with enemy backline setups but depends a lot on being ranked up to have an effective skillset.
Tier B+
Tier B+Can deal massive AoE damage but sometimes can be very glass cannon. Paired well for her cooldown reduction she has quite some potential.
Tier B+Can off-tank early in the game and has decent damage as well. Needs the right support to not go downt oo quickly later but is overall a good choice. Cheap invest but not a long-term hero to use.
Tier B+Good guardian but has a few little weak spots when that his defenses don't cover, in particular health reduction effects. But other than that a good guardian.
Tier B+Lacks a little area and burst but overall a more than solid damage dealer. Do not over-invest in her just because she is an early pull!.
Tier B+The row area of effect and the chance to deal full damage or not make her a little rng and unreliable at times. If you build an elemental team there is a lot of DPS potential though.
Tier BOnce you reach Resonation II for all classes (earliest Day 11 after your server opens), this hero will become available. Works and in some socific setups really high burst but for most players not too interesting.
Tier BA guardian that shields and heals. Not enough to replace a main priest that heals but helps when burst gets a lot or you use two frontline tanks.
Tier BHard to raelly fit her in anywhere. She is not bad, just seems more like a luminary that will have stronger synergy in the future.
Tier BNeeds more characters in Dragon Traveler that synergize well with summoned units to snowball more.
Tier BHealer with less healing compared to a priest like Titania but has damage reduction and shields in his kit to make up for that.
Tier BVery powerful early game character but she will lose strength weekly as you progress so don't invest too much into her.
Tier C+Not so much as main tank but along another guardian in the frontline with his hp-scaling damage and stun a viable option. Just should not be the first guardian you build in Dragon Traveler.
Tier C+Straight healer, nothing else in her kit for support but that is alright as her healing output will be able to keep your team alive.
Tier C+Can't scale well and doesn't deal enough damage honestly to work well past the early game in Dragon Traveler.
Tier COnce you reach Resonation II for all classes (earliest Day 11 after your server opens), this hero will become available. Not worth pulling and building and for sur enot using. There are enough decent assassins you have access to by the time you unlock her.
Tier CDoes good damage but honestly can also be really fragile due to her self-sacrifice mechanic so she is glass cannon in early game and later not strong anymore.
Tier C
Tier CSo often just goes down before he does anything, an assassin with taunt is just not working.

Tier CHis scalers are off and he is not really that effective right now. Can't tell if that is a bug or intended but i wouldn't really build him at this point.
Tier CSuper weird kit with her class and her support. Not really a character that works too well right now in Dragon Traeler.

Sorry forgot to flag her as released hero. But no worries she won’t be relevant in the meta for quite a while until we have luminaries that actually synergize with her kit.

Nah. I experience the same as you claim so I’d say that the tier list in your site is more reliable than others as you really study and test units.
