So many different troops and attacking strategies can make one feel a little lost at times and if you are a veteran player you might stick with what you know although there is something better and newer players can be easily lost in the midst of what is the best attacking strategy easily when searching around.
For that reason we have here the current up to date attacking strategies that work for Town Hall 8 and how to execute them, broken down as quickly and to the point as possible.

Best Ranked Attack Strategy for TH8
Golem and Valkyries are your best friend here at Town Hall 8 and the reason for this is the simple one that you can get matched against TH9s in ranked mode and this is the most reliable strategy to use. The attack itself is pretty straightforward here with Golems taking all the strikes and then you supercharge your Valkyries to basically slash through the base like a hot knife through a piece of butter.
Let’s walk through the attack here with this sample TH8 base to attack:
① Attack Into Clan Castle
Send in one Golem along 4 Wizards in the corner or section where you can pull the clan castle troops as fast as possible and as soon s they’re out, use the Poison Spell in them as you want them out of the way as fast as possible here.
② Open The Base
At the adjacent corner send in the other Golem with 4 more Wizards and the Wall Breakers to open the base and clean some perimeter to make sure your Valkyries will go into the base.
③ In There
Then deploy your Clan Castle with the Root Rider, Barbarian King and your Valkyries and use the Healing Spells on them when they enter the base to make sure they are not getting wiped out by something like Giant Bombs.
Best War Attack Strategy for TH8
For war attacks Hog Riders are the better choice as you do not attack a TH9 base in war as TH8 so you will not face that issue with attacking max TH8s and Hog Riders are more flexible for that – that is also the reason why Hog Riders are not recommended above for the ranked attacks, you will run into Town Hall 9 bases and Hog Riders at your Town Hall level will get wrecked with the defensive capabilities a TH9 has!
