Building teams in Star Savior can feel early on a little overwhelming but actually it is less complicated than you might think so we have here some basic team-building tips for you but also ready-to-use teams you can simply adapt that have a proven track record of great performance.
Basic Team Building in Star Savior
So let’s make it quick here and I don’t want to make a guide that will start at zero and explains the role of a frontline tank and a healer and gives you tips that are so obvious that it is wasted time. What really matters for you to know, and this is where Star Savior is different from other turn-based team building games, is that monster targeting is random! A monster has a 80% chance to attack your front row savior but also a 20% chance to hit one of your back row saviors.
On top of that basic mechanic, defender class saviors give an additional chance to be hit by enemies no matter what position, so that is why you should almost always use a defender to make sure your back row members aren’t hit too often and to keep chip damage on them low. This doesn’t mean you need to use 2 defenders in your frontrow, that doesn’t mean that that some rangers or support heroes can’t work well in the front row. This is just the basic concept to understand when building your own team.
If you do want to build your own team, we highly recommend you to reference our savior tier list with the base characters in Star Savior to help you with that.
Ready-To-Use Teams in Star Savior
But now let’s take a look at the teams the community runs most of the tiem (for a reason):
Starter Team
Great early-game team for PvE modes that is accessible and quite easy to build. You want to make Bunnygirl Charlotte your Leader and use Omega’s Break Skill.
Starter Team
Another variation also in case you need elemental advantage for a boss fight

Another variation also in case you need elemental advantage for a boss fight
Sun Attribute with Tyria
Tyria just makes the team shred through defense lines on a new level
Sun Attribute
High ATK reduction debuffs make this setup very reliable for most runs. Make Bunnygirl Charlotte your leader!
Sun Attribute
An altenrtive version with Lacy replacing Hilde in the frontline that also works fine even without tank
Sun Attribute F2P
Probably the most accessible version of the team in terms of how you can get the saviors
Moon Attribute with Fei
With Fei you can use her in the frontline as evasion tank which is incredibly effective
Moon Attribute
A little harder in terms of getting her saviors unlocked but super balanced and strong team once you are here. Make Bunnygirl Frey your Leader!
Moon Attribute
If you don’t have Bunnygirl Claire you can use Asherah Waltz as substitute
Moon Attribute F2P
Probably the most accessible version of the team in terms of how you can get the saviors
Star Attribute with Lyn
If you went for the Lyn banner you will have a really great option with her now
Star Attribute
Likely the easiest elemental affinity team to build as many of the saviors used are easy to obtain
Star Attribute
Another version with different saviors if your roaster looks short for the team above
Star Attribute F2P
This is probably the easiest team to build early on until you get the more advanced characters
Order Attribute
When you face chaos-attribute bosses, this team here will deal with it effectively
Order Attribute
Alternative Version if you need to replace Luna or Emilly
Order Attribute
A version without Waltz Asherah
Chaos Attribute with Rosaria
With the release of Rosaria the best team here for sure uses her
Chaos Attribute
When you face order-attribute bosses, this team here will deal with it effectively
Chaos Attribute
Alternative Version if you need to replace Emilly

A version without Waltz Asherah
