When building Jane Austen in Heroes of History, there are some important things to mind in order to make the hero work well or you will waste a lot of potential – and some of those things are obvious while others are rather hidden (also thanks to the fact that some tooltips could be actually added to explain some more). But we spends hundreds of hours testing so we can show you what to keep in mind here.

Jane Austen’s Equipment Build
This part is absolutely essential and there are a couple things to mind regarding gear:
Equipment in Heroes of History has different aspects. Each gear item belongs to a slot (hand, chest, hat, necklace, ring) and has a set. When you equip 2 or 3 of the same set items you will get a set bonus.
From here each gear item has a main stat and up to 3 sub stats that are all randomly assigned although some stats can only be on certain items. This is where the big party starts since you literally can’t upgrade all equipment you find and you shoudl ONLY UPGRADE EQUIPMENT WITH THE RIGHT STATS or you will fall behind very quickly.
Below we designed for you the ideal goal, showing you what set a equipment should be and what main stat and what sub stats you want on it as well once they reveal to find the ideal gear pieces for every hero in the game without over-complicating things. Remember, you always see what sub stats you will get, even without upgrading:

Pantheon Tree
The Pantheon Tree lets you select 2 skills per row to fine-tune your hero and with the resources being super tight, you really don’t want to waste them. Here’s our recommendation:

Updated with the changes to the first and second line in Update 1.53 (September 2nd, 2026)! Please use the cheap reset in the update to change as the new node changes make quite some differences for most heroes.
