If you haven&#8217;t expertised him and not run him with Theia, you can just take regular Magic Units as the extra healing won&#8217;t matter much, but after all you want to run him with flying magic units &#8211; and that means League of Order needs to be your faction to run him at his full potential.<\/p>\n<h3>Best Hero Pairing for Atheus<\/h3>\n<div class=\"build-gearbox data-aa-adunit='\/339474670\/AllClash\/InContent_4'><\/div><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Theia<\/strong> is obviously the hero pairing with Atheus that makes most sense as both are about flying units so you can run them with any faction and get the bonus from their skills &#8211; I&#8217;d prefer running Atheus as the primary commander in the legion for the Magic Tree and the rage accumulation with Theia as the secondary providing her shield and applying her buffs (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-theia-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liliya<\/strong> also makes a great pairing and you want to use Liliya primary to have the Skill Tree for a lot of rage, add more rage from Atheus 2nd skill and then spam their active skill dealing a lot of damage plus have the mage synergy (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-liliya-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Velyn<\/strong> works similar to Liliya but you can use the control tree with Velyn primary and lock down targets and silence them while having a lot of great synergy bringing Magic Units (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-velyn-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Waldyr<\/strong> is also a setup I like as you have basically a epic version of Velyn here that works really well with Atheus (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-waldyr-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alwyn<\/strong> also Alwyn is an option, Atheus can be a secondary commander to every meta mage hero in Call of Dragons (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-alwyn-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pan<\/strong> can help make Atheus a tanky legion and if we talk synergies here they should absolutely be a prat of it, although not the vraziest pairing overall compared to the other ones (See <a href=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indis<\/strong> also works in a supportive way here but I feel this is more a pair you want to find synergies in and they can work, I wouldn&#8217;t really recommend it (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/best-indis-builds-talent-tree-skill-order-best-pairing-in-call-of-dragons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full build here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<div class='code-block We have tested many of them and some have amazing synergy and others are more in for the stats but no matter what artifacts you have possibly available, you will find the one that works best. After you unlocked the core node, go into the Mobility Tree and make your way into Preemptive Preparations. The way this works is whenever your target gets away so you re-gain the massive attack boost.Then pick up the additional amrch speed talents on your way to Victory Rush. Victory Rush is amazing to finish of any legion that tries to get away from you as you deal additional damage to them. Then spend your leftover points in the Magic Tree to increase some more base stats of your legion and make Energy Boost that can make your active skill hit multiple targets, which can be incredibly useful.<div class='code-block code-block-9' style='margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;'>\n<div data-aaad='true' data-aa-adunit='\/339474670\/AllClash\/InContent_9'><\/div><\/div>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15727\" src=\"https:\/\/www.allclash.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/best-atheus-skill-talent-tree-build.jpg\">This build here has less march speed but packs a heavy punch, espcially for magic Units. Pick up some base stats in the Magic Tree and make your way to Energy Boost as this will give you extra rage, damage and maybe also hit multiple targets.Then you want to make your way to Elemental Boost and make sure you only bring Magic Units and pick up the talents on the way shown in my image. You now have great extra rage and damage.
