The Best TH13 War/Trophy/Farming Base Layouts (April 2024)

Town Hall 13 Bases – December 27th, 2021

War Base: this war base offers many pitfalls in pathing for the attacker and it will be extremely hard for any attacker of the same Town Hall level to get the 3-Star – ultimately I have only seen higher Town halls getting much out of this base so it’s perfect for your next war.

Trophy Base: this base forces the attacker to go through the Town Hall compartment that will make the 3-Star really tough to get or through the Eagly Artillery on the backside that can even become a failed attack – either way, works great for trophy pushing at TH13 and Legend League is no problem with this base, I have run this base there for several days and it performed well.

Farming Base: this is another ring base as I believe that they work best as farming bases right now at Town Hall 13 and the storages are in the centralized parts of the base. I avoid placing all of them in the core as this will weaken the defensive capabilities of the base there and also motivate the attacker heavily to wreck the core.

Town Hall 13 Bases – December 13th, 2021

War Base: this war base gave attackers a really hard time and in the two wars I tested it for fine-tuning, higher attackers needed to jump in as no TH13 attacker was able to get the 3-Star against this base.

Trophy Base: when looking at this base you see that it’s basically two long “floor” compartments crossing here and the reason is quite simple – you want to slow down attacking troops as much as possible on their way to the core and there you want to mess with troop pathing to ideally split up the army – and I’ve tested this base in Legend League and it performed really well there.

Farming Base: this ring base with the storages in the center works well and the interesting part is how the perimeter is designed on the outside to make funneling as hard and expensive for the attacker as possible to keep troops out of that core – and this base works well here and gives your loot maximum protection.

Town Hall 13 Bases – November 29th, 2021

War Base: this war base uses all the features that you can expect at TH13 and can also be used for CWL as well. The different sections with the way the pathing works makes it really efficient against the attacks that you will face most of the times in war.

Trophy Base: a great Legend League base that has your back at TH13 without much problems and is able to work against the popular attacking strategies that you see frequently these days.

Farming Base: this ring base with extra bulkheads at the corner makes it as hard as possible to funnel into the core where resources are well-protected without exposing the Town Hall or any other crucial buildings.

Town Hall 13 Bases – November 15th, 2021

War Base: with a super-surprising Town Hall section and all other defensive features you can expect at TH13, this base will give any attacker a hard time and it will take a maxed attacker to get the 3-Star. Worked really well in different wars for me.

Trophy Base: a ring base that looks quite easy to beat but has some twists, starting by the open perimeter wall section, make it perform really well (even in Legend League as Town Hall 13) and can deal with the attacks you see there frequently quite well.

Farming Base: the Dark Elixir Storage is centered and the other storages are well spread throughout the base and the Town Hall is in a different location to not motivate the attacker to go all-in against your base to protect some more resources.

Town Hall 13 Bases – November 1st, 2021

War Base: if you’re looking for a war bae that is able to defend well event against higher Town Halls and make attackers doubt their abilities, this base is for you. Try it out in Friendly Challenges if you want to, it’s extremely hard to 3-Star.

Trophy Base: this base needs to be attacker through the bottom section and even if the attacker knows that this still means that this section is holding up really well so you can run this base with your TH13 account even in Legend League.

Farming Base: the way the sections are designed in this farming base make it really effective to protect the different resources within the sections rather than stuffing all into the center area and hope that the attacker won’t make it that far.

Town Hall 13 Bases – October 18th, 2021

War Base: I had a great time testing this war base recently in a war where many attackers haven’t been able to get the 3-Star until ultimately a maxed attacker needed to waste an attack to get it. Great moment and really helpful if you can burn some enemy attacks this way.

Trophy Base: centralized Town Hall with dead zones and double-layer wall sections helps make this base stand up against many different attackers even deep in Legend Leagues and against attackers that are higher than Town Hall 13.

Farming Base: the Town Hall of this farming base is in the center and the storages are spread around to not give the attacker an easy path to all the resources. This might cost you some storages but after all you will protect more loot with this base.

Town Hall 13 Bases – October 4th, 2021

War Base: with this war base you’re on the secure side and it will be nasty to deal with and I can tell you that the enemy will need to send a higher Town Hall to get the 3-Star.

Trophy Base: this offset Town Hall base did a really great job recently in Legend League and I can only repeat what I’m telling my Patrons that want trophy bases for TH13 with a centered Town Hall – it’s not worth it, the offset setup works best right now.

Farming Base: many players here requested it, I built it – a farming base for Town Hall 13 that doesn’t only protect the Dark Elixir in the core of the base but also some other storages and I achieved this by splitting the core into multiple parts so I can spread the storages without clustering them at the same area.

Town Hall 13 Bases – September 20th, 2021

War Base: with some small surprises, this war base has been giving all attackers a tough time in multiple wars where I tested it. Not just the TH13’s failed, also higher Town Hall attackers had no fun attacking it. It wasn’t able to defend the 3-Star ultimately, but no TH13 base can do that against a maxed attacker but it ate a nice bunch of enemy attacks until that point.

Trophy Base: one big section with loads of defensive power and traps paired with a L-shaped dead zone make this zone hard to attack because the funnel is not easy to build. Great and also work in Legend League.

Farming Base: this farming base has a clear focus in protecting Dark Elixir without any compromise, so if you look for a version that also protects Gold/Elixir please check out the previous farming base.

Town Hall 13 Bases – September 6th, 2021

War Base: if you want to give the other TH13’s in war a tough time, this is the base to use and I haven’t seen any attacker going through this base well.

Trophy Base: yes this trophy base is similar to the war base because I designed them along with each other. You can also use this base for upcoming CWL very well, great 1-hit-style base for TH13 that will do a great job for you unless higher Town Halls will hit you.

Farming Base: baiting offset Town Hall and a good bunch of storages in the core of the base make this a pure resource base. You can swap in more Gold Storages into the core if you feel like saving more Gold is needed.

Town Hall 13 Bases – August 23rd, 2021

War Base: the Town Hall 13 base that withstood the TH14 attacks, that was the headline after the recent Clan war where this base hasn’t been even 3-Stared by the maxed attackers…

Trophy Base: the core of this trophy base is a beast and pairing this base with Ice Golems in the Clan Castle, you will get a rock-solid layout that will give every attacker a really bad time attacking.

Farming Base: this farming bae looks like a troll base at first glance but has actually a very well-thought-out way to spread the storages around to prevent that the attacker can get them easily without getting the whole base down (what is also not that easy to accomplish)

Town Hall 13 Bases – August 9th, 2021

War Base: there’s not much that I can say about this war base other than that it worked really well, counters the current meta attacks at TH13 really well and has all the defensive features you can expect from a base that I have here.

Trophy Base: this trophy base uses a centralized Town Hall which seems odd but really boosts the percentage of 1-Star defenses versus easier 2-Stars and will save you a good bunch of trophies in the long run, especially in Legend League.

Farming Base: with the Dark Elixir Storge in the very center of the base, this farming base is one of the most effective ones you can use at TH13 if you need some more of that previous DE to upgrade.

War Base: this war base really did a great job in recent wars and even the higher Town Halls had a tough time dealing with it.

Trophy Base: I designed this trophy base along with the war base to test some new compartment setups and it turned out to be a really good 1-hit-style base that you can also use in CWL next week with your TH13 account.

Farming Base: this ring-style base has intersections in the outside ring and protects the storages in the inner ring and the Dark Elixir in the very core to save you as many resources during an attack as possible.

War Base: this war base is insane and also higher Town Halls than TH13 struggled against it and it took a completely maxed attack after several failed ones to finally 3-Star it. That’s what you want from your TH13 war bases, right?

Trophy Base: the offset open Town Hall in this base looks like a cheap trick but so many attackers fall for it by either sending not enough troops into the section or even letting that section untouched to stay away from trouble (and only getting 1-Star for that).

Farming Base: this is, after last week’s farming base was purely about Dark Elixir, a farming base again that has a focus on protecting your other resources as well.

Town Hall 13 Bases – May 17th, 2021

War Base: first of all, sorry that I needed to take the screenshot with the Home Village background but I was working on other war bases and had no slot open. It’s a 100% war base and will give even higher Town Halls a hard time, I can promise you that.

Trophy Base: here’s a typical ring base that does a great job, even in Legend League, protecting your trophies. It’s also kind of a hybrid base so it will not expose all your storages completely, this can be useful if you’re not a maxed TH13 yet.

Farming Base: if you want to protect your Dark Elixir at any cost, this farming base is made for you where the Dark Elixir Storage is in the very center and everything else around it protects it. Some storages (not all) are also quite far outside to help keeping attacking troops out of the core.

Town Hall 13 Bases – May 10th, 2021

War Base: this great war base was really successful in recent wars and even protected the 3-Star from attackers higher than TH13, I can only recommend it. Make sure to use my recommended cc setup.

Trophy Base: this trophy base is basically a ring base but the compartments are separated, that makes it easier to slow attacking troop and force the attacker to use spells earlier. Also the huge dead zone around the core protects it often.

Farming Base: in this farming base a general trophy layout is used but the storages are not exposed but protected on the inside, this helps a lot keeping them secure from greedy attackers.

Town Hall 13 Bases – May 3rd, 2021

War Base: here’s a war base that holds up really well at TH13 but also gives TH14 attackers a hard time and it’s not easy to 3-Star this base. The compartment structure along with the defense and trap placement works extremely well against current meta strategies and with the recommended cc troops I’m sure you will do well in your next war.

Trophy Base: this ring-style base with double-layer core does anything to prevent the attacker to go for the core of your base. It’s almost impossible to go through that core to get a 3-Star. Also a solid base for CWL.

Farming Base: also a ring-style here with a pretty wide perimeter that makes building a funnel really annoying and requires a lot of good timing from the attacker side to break into the base well and go for the center where the main part of resources are well-protected.

War Base: one of the best war bases I had taken to war in the last weeks and the way how the sections contribute to defensive success is really worth trying out.

Trophy Base: this trophy base got myself some really great results with my TH13 in Legend League recently, even collecting two defensive wins that contributed well to my total trophy count. The way the attacker needs to approach the base is really inconvenient (for the attacker) and efficient for making it really hard to even get the 2-Star.

Farming Base: this base has the primary focus on the Dark Elixir Storage in the core and an offset Town Hall. The Gold & Elixir Storages are more on the outside so only use it if you want to farm Dark Elixir right now – otherwise I can recommend the farming ring base below from last week.

Town Hall 13 Bases – February 8th, 2021

War Base: this war base gave a couple of attackers a hard time crushing their teeth in 2 recent wars we fought. Not a single attacker was able to get close to 3-Star.

Trophy Base: this trophy base has been giving me great results while testing it in Legend League with a super effective center compartment with the Town Hall the sections around it. You will not regret using this base and you will even pick up some defensive victories against other TH13 attackers with it.

Farming Base: this farming base has the Dark Elixir Storage in the very core and the other storages around it in the ring. The special thing here is that there are smaller intersections in the outside ring to intercept with funneling so chances are lower for the attacker to actually get his troops into the center of the base.

Town Hall 13 Bases – February 1st, 2021

War Base: pretty great tests with this base and there was no attacker able to 3-Star it in 2 wars straight. The offset Town hall section along with the large corner compartment works really well and the perimeter is super effective in giving the attacker a hard time.

Trophy Base: Offsetting the Town Hall to make the general troop pathing different worked really well and I was able to pick up several defensive victories in Legend League with it. Writing the whole defensive technique here would make it far too much, so take my word when I tell you that attackers don’t like this base!

Farming Base: this farming base is pretty compact to protect as many resources as possible, with the Town Hall, Clan Castle and Dark Elixir in the core and then multiple layers of rings around it to take the attacker away from the inside of the base.

Town Hall 13 Bases – January 25th, 2021

War Base: pretty “standard” war base and with standard I don’t mean weak. This base has no outstanding features and uses all the meta and classic defensive mechanisms there are at TH13 and has not been 3-Stared in any war so far in our wars.

Trophy Base: this trophy base is really effective with the design of the backline compartments and the huge section in the center that will interrupt troop pathing really effectively and prevent 3-Star attacks completely. Really effective for Legend League.

Farming Base: a lot of small compartments with efficient storage locations will make this base really good in keeping resources away from the attacker, especially your Dark Elixir Storage is well-protected for all those expensive upgrades at TH13.

Town Hall 13 Bases – January 18th, 2021

War Base: This base held up very well in 2 wars last week and no attacker was able to get the 3-Star. Nothing really outstanding here, it just works really well.

Trophy Base: I loved using this trophy base last week with my main TH13 account in Legend League! The offset Town Hall makes this base look like a whacky war base, but all features are there to prevent the 2-Star, and this base does it really effectively.

Farming Base: this is a very effective version of a ring base with intercepting compartments in the outside ring, making it a lot harder to funnel troops. And how does this help protecting resources? Well, Dark Elixir in the core which is hard to reach and all other storages are spread around the base so getting all your loot means the attacker needs to 3-Star this base (not happening).

Town Hall 13 Bases – January 11th, 2021

War Base: this war base has several really interesting defensive mechanisms built in, especially with the compartment structure and the way they work with each other when it comes to messing with attacking troops. I haven’t had a single 3-Star against this base in both, friendly challenges and real wars as well.

Trophy Base: this trophy base performed really well recently in Legend League for me, being kind of a ring base but with closed compartments around the ring. Attackers had problems bypassing the perimeter already with all the storages there it takes a load of troops to actually build a proper funnel.

Farming Base: this base works well if you’re fresh to TH13 and want to protect some resources for the expensive upgrades you’re facing. Close structure, smart storage placement, what else could you need?

Town Hall 13 Bases – January 4th, 2021

War Base: This war base layout here really worked well while testing in our recent war and the compartment setup is designed to mess with attacking troops. You will also find all the up-to-date defensive mechnisms used at Town Hall 13 these days in this base so using it won’t be something you will regret.

Trophy Base: This design looks quite like a nook design in the first place but it is a trophy base that works really well and I tested it in 2 rounds in Legend League at TH13 myself and had only a single 3-Star and also some nice successful defenses as well.

Farming Base: Keep your resources together with this base here that has the open section at the bottom that looks like getting resources will be an easy grab but in reality, it will be pretty hard and most likely end in a failed attempt for the DE storage instead.
