All Challenges & How To Clear Them Fast (Flower Tour)

mario kart tour challenges guide

Each week we get new challenges in Mario Kart Tour and I have here a guide to give you the best way to solve them fast. Some are quite obvious to complete but others require a certain strategy and everyone can use the Grand Stars, right? 🙂

Unlike other pages I don’t want to give you random list of the challenges and give you the obvious tip how to solve them one-by-one – I rather want to give you a task list to solve all the challenges as quick as possible with the least amount of races

Jungle Tour (May 20th)

Step 1 – Use Donkey Kong in Dino Dino Jungle and do several races here to get most Tour Challenges 1 done. It took me 3 races here to finish many challenges and your challenge board will now look like this:

Step 2 – now it’s time to do every race in the Diddy Kong Cup. This will clear a couple more challenges. You now should have left only the Green Shell challenge ,the crash opponents while gliding challenge and the gliding distance challenge. No worries, they will get finished in the next steps as well.

Step 3 – now you need to do several multiplayer races and I highly recommend doing the Standard Races. Do as many as it takes to get 1st place once and you will have the other challenges done as well.

Flower Tour Week #2 (May 13th, 2020)

Coming May 13th, please check back later…

Flower Tour Week #1 (May 6th, 2020)

do jump boostsDo 20 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished before completing Daisy Cup in the Flower Tour.

Land 3 hits with Bob-ombs. Bob-ombs can be tricky and I find it a lot easier to land hits with them by placing them behind me and not throwing them in front of me. Simply swipe back when you have a Bob-omb and it’s very likely that you will get multiple hits with it.

Land 5 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

Get 1st place in a 100cc or higher race 2 times in a row. Use a race that you know you can beat frequently. I wouldn’t prefer short tracks because they can be quite random and also don’t do 200cc as they are more difficult (a small mistake let the opponents pass a lot faster). Dino Dino Jungle, Cheep Cheep Lagoon or also Daisy Hills are races that work great for this challenge.

Get 1st place using a driver wearing a dress. To get this done you need to pick a track where you can use driver with skirts. That are Rosalina, Peach, Daisy, Peachette and the baby version that have a dress. I used Daisy Hills to finish this challenge.

Use 3 Mushrooms in a single race. Normally not a problem to actually get 3 mushrooms in one race so you don’t need to focus on a specific race or driver. Especially when you’re in a lower position and get a Frenzy it usually will be mushrooms. It help doing a crash start and you very likely get 2 Mushrooms from the first set if Item Boxes.

Earn a score of 6,000 or higher using a driver wearing earrings. Driver that work for this are Daisy (and Holiday Cheer, Fairy version), Peach (and Kimono, Vacation version) and Pauline work here well. Daisy (Super) in Daisy Hills in Daisy Cup, very first race in the Flower Tour, will do fine here.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Dry Bones Cup.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver wearing a dress. To get this done you need to pick a track where you can use driver with skirts. That are Rosalina, Peach, Daisy, Peachette and the baby version that have a dress. I used Daisy Hills to finish this challenge.

Flower Tour Gold Challenges (May 6th, 2020)

Get 1st place in a 150cc or higher race 2 times. This time this challenge doesn’t require doing it in a row and as you normally should do races in 150cc you will get this done quite fast by doing your regular cup races in the Flower Tour.

Use 10 Mushrooms. Mushrooms are quite frequent, especially when you’re in a bottom position and get Frenzy you often get Mushroom Frenzy and get this done in one run.

Do 100 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the first cup in the Flower Tour.

Perform a total of 3 Jump Boosts by bouncing off hot-air balloons. You can finish that in Daisy Hill tracks where you need to steer right into one of those balloons when you’re mid-air. Touching the balloon will give you the jump boost, no matter what direction you touch it.

Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver wearing a crown. Daisy and Peach work fine here, with the baby version as well. I suggest Daisy Hills in Daisy Cup, it reward 10k+ points easily.

Cause an opponent to crash in a Gold Race. Start multiplayer and focus on hitting an opponent with a Red Shell or wait until someone crashes into you from behind when you hold a Green Shell or Banana. Should be done within one multiplayer race.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Koopa Troopa Cup.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Pauline Cup.

Take out 5 goats. You will find goats exclusively on tracks in Daisy Hills. These goats walk around on the track in the long turns in the middle of the race – simply race into them to take them out. You will crash (if you’re not using Frenzy, Large Mushroom or Mushroom) but no matter that also counts as taking them out and you finish this challenge.

Trick Tour Week #2 (April 29th, 2020)

banana boyLand 5 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

Do 100 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the 10 races in the Trick Tour.

Activate Frenzy Mode 5 times. Happens on the fly while racing and you should get this done within 2-3 races when you have the racers (what you should really have).

Get 1st place in a race 2 times in a row.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Diddy Kong Cup.

Getting about 7,000 points on average here with Dino Dino Jungle is quite easy to do, especially when you have a decent Player Level you will practically get that for finishing first place in the races.

Get a combo count of x20 or higher. This combo score is quite easy to get when you get into Frenzy Mode, but there are some courses that give high combo count like Bowser’s Castle 2R/T in Mario Cup where you have the high number of ramps that will get you that combo count easily.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a mustache. Ideally, you can complete this with the challenge above as drivers like Luigi and Mario with variations are available there. If you lack them, go for the Waluigi Pinball tracks with Waluigi.

Land a hit with a Green Shell in a Standard Race. This is nasty and you will have to do a few multiplayer races. Don’t focus on saving your Green Shell as defensive item and either use it for a clean shot or let it go behind you to get a lucky punch.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges.

Obviously, you need to finish every race and bonus race. You don’t need to get full Grand Stars everywhere but at least started and finished every race what should be the thing you will do anyway in Trick Tour, right?

Trick Tour Week #1 (April 22nd, 2020)

Land 3 hits with Green Shells. If you want to get this done really quick, you want to drop your Green Shells behind you, the hit rate is a lot higher and you don’t risk getting hit yourself when it bounces back.

Do a total of 5 Slipstream boosts. To do a slipstream boost you need to stay directly behind another racer until you see a strong acceleration. It’s about one full second that you need to stay there so best to do it is on straight parts or when you start in a low position of a race.

do jump boostsDo 100 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished before completing Mario Cup in the Trick Tour.

Pick up a dropped Mushroom for a speed boost 3 times. The easiest way to get this is using a driver that has the Mushroom Cannon as a special item. This cannon will shoot out mushrooms and you can easily pick one up to get this challenge done. Drivers that have that are Peachette, Shy Guy (Pastry Chef), Toad (Party Time) and Peach (Kimono). If you don’t have one of them, check the entry screen of the race if you’re racing against one of them and try to stick behind them to pick up a mushroom they pass.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver wearing a helmet. Cheep Cheep lagoon in Luigi Cup or DK Pass in Yoshi Cup with one of the Bro’s works well here. They offer long combo streaks and make this score possible even with driver Level 1 and no big Player Level.

Perform a total of 3 Jump Boosts by bouncing off hot-air balloons. Go to Daisy Hills in Toad Cup and make 2 races there (you can only get one bounce per lap) and make sure that you steer straight towards the balloon when you’re mid-air at the end section of the track.

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a baby driver. For me, Luigi Mansion in Luigi Cup with baby Luigi works here best. You have plenty of combo situations and can get that score easily, even with low driver level and low Player Level.

Use 1 point-boost ticket. Use a point-up ticket on one item by going into that item and using it. No matter what ticket you use. If you don’t have a ticket, check out the shop daily and they sell silver tickets there for 800 Coins.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Shy Guy Cup. Quite easy to get with Neo Bowser City and Ghost Valley giving away 8,000 points easily and Waluigi Pinball also works well. You can get a nice score here by combining it with the Pinball Challenge.

Trick Tour Gold Challenges (April 22nd, 2020)

Get a Fantastic combo a total of 5 times. As well here, you don’t need to do that in a single race and you will get this one automatically by racing through the cups easily. You can get several Fantastic combos in every single race in the Trick Tour.

Land 5 hits with Red Shells.

Well, I think you know how to use Red Shells, right? 😉

Simply use them and hit and you will get this challenge done quite fast.

Get 1st place in a 150cc or higher race 3 times. This time this challenge doesn’t require doing it in a row and as you normally should do races in 150cc you will get this done quite fast by doing your regular cup races in the Trick Tour.

Cause opponents to crash a total of 3 times using a driver wearing gloves. Gloves sound a little complicated but every Mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi as well as Dry Bones or even Daisy wear gloves so all tracks in Mario Cup works best here and get you this down probably within one race.

Ride on air currents 5 times. The easiest way to get this done is to use DK Pass R/T in Yoshi Cup. There are multiple air currents that you will will have in the middle of the track behind ramps so you will get this done with one race normally.

Take out a pinball. This is an interesting challenge and it requires some proper timing so buckle up, you will probably need several races to get this done. You need to get into a Waluigi Pinball track and you have the pinballs at the end section. The only way to take them out is by using a Super Horn next to them, be in Frenzy Mode or have an active Mega Mushroom. So use a driver that has Lucky-7 as special item (this includes a Super Horn) and a glider that favors Super Horn to have the highest chances to get the Super Horn – for me that’s the easiest way to take out the Pinball.

Earn a score of 10,000 or higher on 3 courses. There are many cup races that give a high score easily. You normally should be able to get this done with the Mario Cup but if not simply do all cup races and this challenge is done.

Earn a total score of 25,000 or higher in the Dry Bowser Cup. Dry Bowser Cup has races that make a high score possible easily. This requires about 8,000 points per race on average so absolutely no problem.

Get 1st place a total of 3 times in Standard Races or Gold Race. This is nasty and you will have to do many multiplayer races. I recommend using Standard Races as they are easier and you can also check out my multiplayer guide that will help you win more races in multiplayer.

Yoshi Tour Week #2 (April 15th, 2020)

Activate Frenzy Mode 3 times. Happens on the fly while racing and you should get this done within 2-3 races when you have the racers (what you should really have).

Land 3 hits with Red Shells.

Well, I think you know how to use Red Shells, right? 😉

Simply use them and hit and you will get this challenge done quite fast.

Use 15 Mushrooms. Mushrooms are quite frequent, especially when you’re in a bottom position and get Frenzy you often get Mushroom Frenzy and get this done in one run.

Get 1st place in a multiplayer race.

Go to multiplayer and do enough races. I recommend you to do the Standard Races as they are easier and you should get this within 2-3 races. If you have problems you can check out my multiplayer guide here for more tips how to win more in multiplayer.

Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver with an extended tongue. Driver that are able to get this challenge done are all versions of Yoshi or also King Boo. In the Yoshi Tour you have so many courses that feature Yoshi that you can pick the one you like, I personally think that Rock Rock Mountain is the easiest way to get this done with plenty of combo streaks.

Take out 5 snowpeople. You can find them in Frappe Snowland or DK Pass races (see here where exactly). There are always several ones and you can just race through them and won’t even crash, they also raise your multiplier so always go for them. I like to do it at the end of DK Pass before the finish line where you can find plenty of them so you can get all 5 of them in a single race.

Do 20 Jump Boosts in a single race using a driver with a ribbon. All versions of Birdo or also Wendy work here. I think Choco Island in Yoshi Cup works well because you have the small ramps there that can give you 10+ Jump Boosts way section easily. You don’t need to use a favorite driver here to get this challenge done 🙂

Take out a Thwomp. Bowser’s Castle is the track to go here and you either need a Mega Mushroom, Frenzy Mode or use a Super Horn to take out a thwomp. The tricky thing is that the Thwomp need to be on the ground while you then race through it using one of those items so it can take several races to get the right timing for that.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges.

Obviously, you need to finish every race and bonus race. You don’t need to get full Grand Stars everywhere but at least started and finished every race what should be the thing you will do anyway in Yoshi Tour, right?

Yoshi Tour Week #1 (April 8th, 2020)

Do 50 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the first cup in the Yoshi Tour.

fantastic combo challengeGet a Fantastic combo a total of 3 times. As well here, you don’t need to do that in a single race and you will get this one automatically by racing through the cups easily. You can get several Fantastic combos in every single race in the Yoshi Tour.

Land 5 hits with Green Shells. If you want to get this done really quick, you want to drop your Green Shells behind you, the hit rate is a lot higher and you don’t risk getting hit yourself when it bounces back.

Land 3 hits with Green Shells in a single race. The best way to get this challenge done is using a driver that will get you a Frenzy with Green Shells in combination with a glider that raises your chances for a Green Shell. Koopa Troopa on Koopa Troopa Beach in Donkey Kong Cup works fine and you can add Shell Parachute, Plaid Ribbon or Paper Glider and you can easily get the 3 hits.

Earn a total of 15,000 or higher in the Yoshi Cup. Getting an average of 5,000 points per race shouldn’t be a problem, you will actually get this done after two races there so no problem at all to clear this challenge

Perform a total of 3 Jump Boosts by bouncing off hot-air balloons. You can finish that in Daisy Hill tracks where you need to steer right into one of those balloons when you’re mid-air. Touching the balloon will give you the jump boost, no matter what direction you touch it.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver wearing gloves. Gloves sound a little complicated but every Mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi as well as Dry Bones or even Daisy wear gloves so tracks like Daisy Hills T in Daisy or Lakitu Cup, Neo Bowser City in Toad Cup are a great choice to get this challenge finished.

Glide a total distance of 1,500 or more in Standard Races. You will need to join Standard Races in Multiplayer here and get tracks where you actually glide. I guess it takes about 5-10 races (depending how many Rock Rock Mountain you get) to finish this challenge. Just race enough in Multiplayer.

Take out 3 pipes. I’ve written in my full guide about obstacles where you can find pipes and how to deal with them here. In short, go to Choco Island where you find pipes in the middle section and simply drive right through them (no need to use a special item).

Yoshi Tour Gold Challenged (April 8th, 2020)

Get 1st place in a 200cc race. Do any race with 200cc that you like. I also would here recommend middle-length races for this challenge if you struggle to win but actually it shouldn’t be a problem to get this challenge within 1-3 tries.

Land 10 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here. Use Donkey Kong in Rock Rock Mountain in Yoshi Cup and you will get tons of Bananas.

Do 50 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished within 1-2 races in the Yoshi Tour.

Take out 5 Sidesteppers. Take out 3 pipes. I’ve written in my full guide about obstacles where you can find pipes and how to deal with them here. In short, go to Koopa Troopa Beach and you will find them over the track (red crabs) and drive through them (even without special item. it will crash you but still counts as taking out).

Land 3 hits with Yoshi’s Egg. You will need to use any Yoshi driver to get this done and also use a track where you can get Frenzy Mode so you have the highest chances to actually get many Yoshi’s Eggs. I recommend the first race Yoshi Circuit in Yoshi Cup for that.

Get a combo count of x20 or higher in a multiplayer race. This is a little bit tricky because multiplayer races can be messy. You want to crash-start and use clean combo as the last position driver to get this done properly (see here my multiplayer guide)

Earn a total score of 15,000 or higher in the Daisy Cup. Getting an average of 5,000 points per race shouldn’t be a problem, you will actually get this done after two races there so no problem at all to clear this challenge

Earn a total score of 15,000 higher in the Donkey Kong Cup. Getting an average of 5,000 points per race shouldn’t be a problem, you will actually get this done after two races there so no problem at all to clear this challenge.

Earn a total score of 18,000 or higher in the Birdo Cup. Getting an average of 5,000 points per race shouldn’t be a problem, you will actually get this done after two races there so no problem at all to clear this challenge

Hammer Bro Tour Week #2 (April 1st, 2020)

do jump boostsDo 20 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished within 1-2 races in the Hammer Bro Tour.

banana boyLand 5 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

Get 1st place in a race 3 times. You don’t need to do this in the same race so simply do your normal cup races in the tour and you will get this done within 2-3 cups.

Get a combo count of x20 or higher. This combo score is quite easy to get when you get into Frenzy Mode, but there are some courses that give high combo count like Bowser’s Castle 2 in Bowser Cup where you have the high number of ramps that will get you that combo count easily.

Land 3 hits with Green Shells in a single race. The best way to get this challenge done is using a driver that will get you a Frenzy with Green Shells in combination with a glider that raises your chances for a Green Shell. Koopa Troopa on Koopa Troopa Beach in Hammer Bro Cup works fine and you can add Shell Parachute, Plaid Ribbon or Paper Glider and you can easily get the 3 hits.

Get 1st place without crashing. This is quite a random challenge and normally this will happen naturally while doing the races in the Hammer Bro Tour. Still, best way to get it is trying to avoid the mess after the start by starting in a bottom position and don’t do any Rocket Start and try to take over the field. It’s a lot harder to get through the field right in between Item Boxes without crashing than taking over later in the race.

Land a hit with a fireball. Take Ice Bro, Mario, Metal Mario, Red Koopa or Luigi and you can get a Fireball from Item Boxes because this is their featured item. Use a race where they can get Frenzy and you should complete this within one race (if you don’t have Fire Bro go with Mario on Koopa Troopa Beach in Hammer Bro Tour).

Pick up a dropped Mushroom for a burst of speed.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges. This is obvious, you need to clear the whole tour. No matter if you get 0 Stars in a Bonus Race it will also count, simply get to Ice Mario Cup and complete it to get this challenge completed.

Hammer Bro Tour Week #1 (March 25th, 2020)

Do 5 Rocket Starts. To do a Rocket Start you will need to press down after the 2 in the countdown of the start appears and release it when the race starts. You will see your wheels spin but if you start before the “2” in the countdown appears you will crash and won’t get a Rocket Start.

Land 5 hits with Bob-ombs. Bob-ombs can be tricky and I find it a lot easier to land hits with them by placing them behind me and not throwing them in front of me. Simply swipe back when you have a Bob-omb and it’s very likely that you will get multiple hits with it.

Activate Frenzy Mode 3 times. Happens on the fly while racing and you should get this done within 2-3 races when you have the racers (what you should really have).

Collect a total of 100 coins in races. This is not in a single race and you can collect up to 300 Coins every day so just do your races until you have the 100 Coins in total (keep in mind that your final score in a race divided by 1,000 is added to the Coins you earn in the race).

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver wearing a shell. You can use all koopaling driver, Hammer Bro, Lakitu, Bowser(s). Koopa Troopa Beach or DK Pass in Hammer Bro Cup is pretty easy to get 10k+ points and you have multiple possible drivers there as favored.

snowpeopleTake out 5 snowpeople.

Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver wearing a crown. Daisy and Peach work fine here, with the baby version as well. I suggest Koopa Troopa Brach in Yoshi Cup or Shy Guy Bazaar in Toad Cup, they reward 10k+ points easily.

all ringsPass through every ring in the Ring Race bonus challenge of the Hammer Bro Cup. Go to the Hammer Bro Cup and do the ring challenge there. It’s actually not very complicated and the rings are quite straightforward. Some rings appear really late so make sure to stay in the middle of the track to be sure to get all 30 rings.

Get 1st place in a 100cc or higher race 2 times. This challenge is also usually finished within the first few races, very likely that you even get it in the first race. The races against the bots aren’t that hard, right?

Hammer Bro Tour Gold Challenges (March 25th, 2020)

Get a Fantastic combo a total of 10 times. As well here, you don’t need to do that in a single race and you will get this one automatically by racing through the cups easily. You can get several Fantastic combos in every single race in the Hammer Bro Tour.

Land 3 hits with Red Shells.

Well, I think you know how to use Red Shells, right? 😉

Simply use them and hit and you will get this challenge done quite fast.

Do 100 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the first cup in the Hammer Bro Tour.

Glide a total distance of 5,000. You will find several races in the tour that will give glide distance and you don’t need to do it within one race. Good races to raise your gliding distance are DK Pass or Shy Guy Bazaar will get you a nice distance with every race in Hammer Bro Tour.

Use a Heart a total of 3 times. Here you will need the right driver like Wendy, Daisy, Peach or Pink Shy Guy so you can get the heart item. Mind that you only need to activate it, you don’t need to deflect something with it. Good tracks to get it fast (aim for 3 items per Item Box) are Koopa Troopa Beach in Yoshi Cup, Frappe Snowland in Baby Peach Cup or Cheep Cheep Lagoon in Toadette Cup.

Land 3 hits with Boomerangs. You will also need the right driver here, like Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Toad (Pit Crew) or Boomerang Bro. Luigi Mansion in Peachette Cup works nice with Baby Luigi and you very likely have him. You can even get all hits at once when you can use it in the middle of your opponents.

Do 30 Mini-Turbo boosts in a single race. Mini-Turbo boosts can be tricky and you need a track that offers many of them. Mind that Mini-Turbo is only for drifitng the blue sparks, not the yellow ones when you drift too long. I did this in Yoshi Circuit in Birdo Cup and you can get exactly 15 Mini-Turbo’s when you do drift every turn. Get some extra drift in the long straight sections you have this done.

Earn a total score of 20,000 or higher in the Luigi Cup.

Pretty easy actually as every race in this cup makes a score of 10k points possible so you can get the 20,000 pretty easily when doing the races there.

Get 1st place in a multiplayer race.

Go to multiplayer and do enough races. I recommend you to do the Standard Races as they are easier and you should get this within 2-3 races. If you have problems you can check out my multiplayer guide here for more tips how to win more in multiplayer.

Baby Rosalina Tour Week #2 (March 18th, 2020)

Use 10 Mushrooms. Mushrooms are quite frequent, especially when you’re in a bottom position and get Frenzy you often get Mushroom Frenzy and get this done in one run.

Land 5 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

do jump boostsDo 10 Jump Boosts in a single race. Most tracks will have enough spots to get Jump Boosts but if you a really going all in here you want to use London Loop 2T, Shy Guy Bazaar TMario Curcui 1T or Rainbow Road R/T.

fantastic combo challengeGet a Fantastic combo a total of 3 times. As well here, you don’t need to do that in a single race and you will get this one automatically by racing through the cups easily. You can get several Fantastic combos in every single race in the Baby Rosalina Tour.

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with a ribbon. You will need to use Wendy, Birdo or Birdo (Light Blue) to do this challenge. I recommend using Mario Circuit 3T in the Lakitu Cup or Mario Circuit 2R/T in Rosalina Cup if you have Birdo (Light Blue). If not, you won’t get Frenzy and need to try Cheep Cheep Lagoon in Koopa Troopa Cup with Wendy in Tier 2. It’s okay to do if you have a solid Player Level.

Glide a total distance of 5,000. You will find several races in the tour that will give glide distance and you don’t need to do it within one race. Good races to raise your gliding distance are Dine Dino Jungle in Baby Rosalina Cup, Shy Guy Bazaar in Baby Peach Cup or also the Glider Challenge in Wario Cup.

Ride on air currents 5 times. The easiest way to get this done is to use Shy Guy Bazaar T in Waluigi Cup. There are multiple air currents that you will ride through before the big jump in the last section and it’s the Ranked Cup anyway so you will do this track a lot of times anyway.

Get 1st place in a race 3 times in a row.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges. This is obvious, you need to clear the whole tour. No matter if you get 0 Stars in a Bonus Race it will also count, simply get to Rosalina Cup and complete it to get this challenge completed. It can be buggy and not showing you the last 3 bonus challenges right now if you used Quick Tickets (like me)…

Baby Rosalina Tour Week #1 (March 11th, 2020)

Do a total of 3 Slipstream boosts. To do a slipstream boost you need to stay directly behind another racer until you see a strong acceleration. It’s about one full second that you need to stay there so best to do it is on straight parts or when you start in a low position of a race.

Land 3 hits with Bob-ombs. Bob-ombs can be tricky and I find it a lot easier to land hits with them by placing them behind me and not throwing them in front of me. Simply swipe back when you have a Bob-omb and it’s very likely that you will get multiple hits with it.

Do 10 Rocket Starts. To do a Rocket Start you will need to press down after the 2 in the countdown of the start appears and release it when the race starts. You will see your wheels spin but if you start before the “2” in the countdown appears you will crash and won#t get a Rocket Start.

banana boyLand 3 hits with Bananas in a single race. This one normally happens automatically, but best chances to get it is when doing a race where you have Morton, Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong available for Frenzy (like Dino Dino Jungle or Kalimari Desert in Baby Rosalina Cup or Dino Dino Jungle R in Iggy Cup). Chances that you will get Frenzy with them makes it super easy but you will also get enough Bananas to clear this challenge without Frenzy

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with a hat. Is a piece of cake in Baby Rosalina Tour as long as you have any Mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi version you should see a fitting race in almost every cup here. Luigi Mansion (Mario Cup) or RMX Mario Circuit (Wario Cup) work great.

Get 1st place in a multiplayer race. Multiplayer races can be messy but getting first isn’t that hard. Drive conservatively and you should get this done within 5 races. I recommend using Standard Races (not Gold Races) as they are normally a lot easier to beat with softer opponents.

Use a total of 10 Mushrooms in Standard Races. Do this along with the above challenge. Mushrooms are the item you get most in multiplayer races so getting the 10 Mushrooms should be a matter of 3-4 races, if not less than that.

Land a hit with a Green Shell while racing via With Friends or Other Nearby. This one can be more difficult if you don’t have friends that play Mario Kart Tour. In that case I either recommend you to try this in a crowded place or you take some old device and make yourself a secondary Mario Kart Tour account that you race against (make sure to allow bots to have enough “targets” to hit with Green Shells).

Break 10 Barrels. You can find barrels excusively in London Loop races – they are quite obvious to see. In the middle section you see 2-3 of them right next to each other and all you need to do is to race straight through it 🙂

Baby Rosalina Tour Gold Challenges (March 11th, 2020)

Do 50 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the first cup in the Baby Rosalina Tour.

Land 3 hits with Green Shells. If you want to get this done really quick, you want to drop your Green Shells behind you, the hit rate is a lot higher and you don’t risk getting hit yourself when it bounces back.

Activate Frenzy Mode 3 times. Happens on the fly while racing and you should get this done within 2-3 races when you have the racers (what you should really have).

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver wearing gloves. Gloves sounds a little complicated but every mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi as well as Dry Bones wear gloves so tracks like Shy Guy Bazaar T in Waluigi Cup are a great choice to get this challenge finished.

Break 5 jars. Jars can only be found in Shy Guy Bazaar where you can find plenty of them. Right after the start in the basar section go left and you will find some at the end of the street. In the middle section, there are jars walking straight across the road that you only need to hit and there’s also one at the end close to the finish line.

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with three hairs. Before you now start counting hairs, it’s Morton and Lakitu that will get you this challenge and the score is not that high if you have a decent player level. Kalimari Desert (Baby Rosalina Cup), London Loop 2R (Baby Peach Cup or Peachette Cup) or Mario Circuit 3T (Lakitu Cup) are the ones that you should do.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a hat. As long as you have any Mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi version you should see a fitting race in almost every cup here. Luigi Mansion (Mario Cup) or RMX Mario Circuit (Wario Cup) work great.

Finish a race in Frenzy Mode. This challenge is a little more tricky because you will need to get into Frenzy Mode before the finish line. I have written a full guide to doing this here.

Get 1st place a total of 3 times in Standard or Gold Races. This sounds harder than it is and I recommend you to do the Standard Races in Multiplayer that are quite okay and you can get a 1st place there every 2-3 races. Gold Races are a lot harder so I wouldn’t recommend them unless you are really into multiplayer mode.

Mario Bros. Tour Week #2 (March 4th, 2020)

The challenges this week are quite easy and you can complete multiple ones at the same time when using a Mario or Luigi (with variations) in Mario Courses. I recommend doing Mario Circuit T in Daisy Cup with Mario a couple of times to get the first 7 challenges done within a few races.

Activate Frenzy Mode 3 times. Happens on the fly while racing and you should get this done within 2-3 races when you have the racers (what you should really have).

Land 3 hits with Green Shells. If you want to get this done really quick, you want to drop your Green Shells behind you, the hit rate is a lot higher and you don’t risk getting hit yourself when it bounces back.

Use 15 Mushrooms. Mushrooms are quite frequent, especially when you’re in a bottom position and get Frenzy you often get Mushroom Frenzy and get this done in one run.

Get 1st place in a course with Mario in its name. Most races with Mario in the name do give a high score, especially Mario Circuit T (Mario Cup), Mario Circuit R (Toadette Cup), Mario Circuit T (Daisy Cup) and especially Mario Circuit R/T (Dry Bowser Cup) with a lot of long combo opportunities.

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a mustache. Ideally, you can complete this with the challenge above as drivers like Luigi and Mario with variations are available there. If you lack them, go for the Waluigi Pinball tracks with Waluigi.

Cause opponents to crash a total of 3 times using a driver wearing gloves. If you do like I recommend, you will do plenty of races with mario or Luigi and they wear gloves so you will get this challenge done while completing the ones above.

Cause opponents to crash 3 times while gliding. This is a little more tricky in this tour because there are not many tracks that give long gliding times to get a nice shot. I like Mario Circuit T or Toad Circuit T (you get one glide ramp in the second lap). Also other tracks offer gliding but quite short or bad with items so it’s more random to get this challenge done. I have here also some general guide to cause opponents to crash while gliding.

Earn a total score of 15,000 or higher in the Baby Mario Cup. If you have Baby Mario and Baby Luigi you should easily get this done and every track can get you easily 7,000+ points in the first try.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges.

This is obvious, you need to clear the whole tour. No matter if you get 0 Stars in a Bonus Race it will also count, simply get to Pauline Cup and complete it to get this challenge completed.

Mario Bros. Tour Week #1 (February 26th, 2020)

Do 50 Mini-Turbo boosts. You will do mini turbo boosts a lot and this challenge will be completed very likely before you finish the first cup in the Mario Bros. Tour.

Land 3 hits with Red Shells.

Well, I think you know how to use Red Shells, right? 😉

Simply use them and hit and you will get this challenge done quite fast.

Land 5 hits with Bob-ombs. Bob-ombs can be tricky and I find it a lot easier to land hits with them by placing them behind me and not throwing them in front of me. Simply swipe back when you have a Bob-omb and it’s very likely that you will get multiple hits with it

Get 1st place in a 100cc or higher race 3 times. This challenge is also usually finished within the first few races, very likely that you even get it in the first race. The races against the bots aren’t that hard, right?

Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a hat. There are plenty of races where you can use Mario/Wario/Luigi/Waluigi in the Mario Bros. Tour. Pretty much every race in the first cup, the Mario Cup will get you this challenge completed.

Glide a total distance of 5,000. You will find several races in the tour that will give glide distance and you don’t need to do it within one race. Good races to raise your gliding distance are Waluigi Pinball or Rainbow Road will get you a nice distance with every race.

Land a hit with a fireball. Take Mario, Metal Mario, Red Koopa or Luigi and you can get a Fireball from Item Boxes because this is their featured item. Use a race where they can get Frenzy and you should complete this within one race (RMX Mario Circuit 1 in Mario Cup, Mario Circuit T in Mario Cup, Mario Circuit 1 in Rosaline Cup… there’s a race in every cup that you can use).

Do 3 Slipstream boosts in a single race. This is a little more tricky to get it done in one race… Choose a race with a long duration, like Rainbow Road, and then mess up the Rocket Start to begin at the very end. Then you can start trying to get a Slipstream one by one when getting to a top position. If you are in #1 position and still need Slipstream, drive against walls to let the others overtake you to get more attempts on Slipstreams.

Do 100 Jump Boosts in courses with Mario in the name. Also more an automatic grind challenge and you will get Jump Boost in every single race. I’d recommend simply race through the cups and you will get that done after a few ones.

Mario Bros. Tour Gold Challenges (February 26th, 2020)

Do 5 Rocket Starts. To do a Rocket Start you will need to press down after the 2 in the countdown of the start appears and release it when the race starts. You will see your wheels spin but if you start before the “2” in the countdown appears you will crash and won#t get a Rocket Start.

Land 20 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

Do 20 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished before completing Mario Cup in the Mario Bros. Tour.

Pick up a dropped Mushroom for a burst of speed. The easiest way to get this is using a driver that has the Mushroom Cannon as special item.

Land 5 hits with Bob-ombs in a single race using a driver with a hat.

Get a combo count of x30 or higher. This combo score is quite easy to get when you get into Frenzy Mode, but there are some courses that give high combo count like Mario Circuit T, Rainbow Road.

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a baby driver.

Take out 3 pipes. to do this you need to have Frenzy Mode active and drive right through a pipe. You should pick a Mario Circuit race because they have plenty of pipes, also on the track that makes it a lot easier to get them when you’re in Frenzy Mode. You might need several races but if you do have that in the back of your mind when racing you can always look out for pipes when you’re in Frenzy and can get it done during your normal cup races.

Land 5 hits with fireballs.

Vancouver Tour Week #2 (February 19th, 2020)

Do 5 Rocket Starts. To do a Rocket Start you will need to press down after the 2 in the countdown of the start appears and release it when the race starts. You will see your wheels spin but if you start before the “2” in the countdown appears you will crash and won#t get a Rocket Start.

Land 5 hits with Bananas. You will get plenty of Bananas and complete this challenge fairly easily within the first races. Maybe mind placing them in the line where the other racers will race but actually nothing to mind here.

Land 10 hits with Bob-ombs. Bob-ombs can be tricky and I find it a lot easier to land hits with them by placing them behind me and not throwing them in front of me. Simply swipe back when you have a Bob-omb and it’s very likely that you will get multiple hits with it

Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with a hat. You will need a driver with a hat but also a course where you can get such a score. I recommend using Waluigi in Waluigi Pinball, Mario in DK Pass, Luigi in Ghost Valley 1, Metal Mario in Mario Curcuit 2R, etc. Fairly easy to clear challenges.

Get a combo count of x20 or higher. This combo score is quite easy to get when you get into Frenzy Mode, but there are some courses that give high combo count like DK Pass, Rock Rock Mountain, Daisy Hills T.

Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver wearing a crown. There are several tracks with certain drivers that work for this challenge. Rainbow Road with Rosalina, Daisy Hills with Daisy, DK Pass with baby RosalinaDaisy Hills T with Baby Daisy, Ghost Valley 1R with King Boo. Almost every cup has one race that will get you that.

Earn a score of 10,000 or higher on 5 courses. There are several courses that get you a high score easily because there are longer combo streaks built-in. Rainbow Road, Rock Rock Mountain, DK Pass, Daisy Hills T, Waluigi Pinball R to name a few.

Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges.

This is obvious, you need to clear the whole tour. No matter if you get 0 Stars in a Bonus Race it will also count, simply get to Peachette Cup and complete it to get this challenge completed.

Vancouver Tour Week #1 (February 12th, 2020)

do jump boostsDo 20 Jump Boosts. There’s no need to specifically go for this challenge, you will do plenty of Jump Boosts in basically every single race and you should have this one finished before completing Rosalina Cup in the Vancouver Tour

land hits with green shellsLand 3 hits with Green Shells. You don’t need to do them in a single race in the Vancouver Tour, so just do your races and you will see enough Green Shells to get that completed. I personally like dropping them behind when you’re in a lead position so you have higher chances to hit the people behind you rather than trying to aim for someone in front of you.

fantastic combo challengeGet a Fantastic combo a total of 10 times. As well here, you don’t need to do that in a single race and you will get this one automatically by racing through the cups easily. You can get several Fantastic combos in every single race in the Vancouver Tour

banana boyLand 3 hits with Bananas in a single race. This one normally happens automatically, but best chances to get it is when doing a race where you have Morton, Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong available for Frenzy (like Rock Rock Mountain in the Mario Cup). Chances that you will get Frenzy with them makes it super easy but you will also get enough Bananas to clear this challenge without Frenzy

driver wearing a dressGet 1st place 3 times using a driver wearing a dress. To get this done you need to pick a track where you can use driver with skirts. That are Rosalina, Peach, Daisy, Peachette and the baby version that have a dress. I used Daisy Hills to finish this challenge.

snowpeopleTake out 5 snowpeople. You can find them in Frappe Snowland or DK Pass races (like in Mario Cup). There are always several ones and you can just race through them and won’t even crash, they also raise your multiplier so always go for them. I like to do it at the end of DK Pass before the finish line where you can find plenty of them so you can get all 5 of them in a single race.

all ringsPass through every ring in the Ring Race bonus challenge of the Mario Cup. Go to the Mario Cup and do the ring challenge there. It’s actually not very complicated and the rings are quite straightforward. The only thing is the moving rings at the end in front of the finish line but keep straight there and they will move towards the middle and you can finish that challenge.

without crashingGet 1st place without crashing. This is quite a random challenge and normally this will happen naturally while doing the races in the Vancouver Tour. Still, best way to get it is trying to avoid the mess after the start by starting in a bottom position and don’t do any Rocket Start and try to take over the field. It’s a lot harder to get through the field right in between Item Boxes without crashing than taking over later in the race.

while glidingCause opponents to crash 3 times while gliding. To get this you want to pick a track that allows long gliding right after Item Boxes. I like Daisy Hills track to do that with the long glide at the end of the lap right after item Boxes where any Red Shell will get you that challenge done

Vancouver Tour Gold Challenges (February 12th, 2020)

Do a total of 3 Slipstream boosts. To do a slipstream boost you need to stay directly behind another racer until you see a strong acceleration. It’s about one full second that you need to stay there so best to do it is on straight parts or when you start in a low position of a race.

Land 5 hits with Red Shells. Well, I think you know how to use Red Shells, right? 😉

Simply use them and hit and you will get this challenge done quite fast.

Get 1st place in a race 5 times. You don’t need to do this in the same race so simply do your normal cup races in the tour and you will get this done within 2-3 cups.

Finish a race in Frenzy Mode. This challenge is a little more tricky because you will need to get into Frenzy Mode before the finish line. I have written a full guide to doing this here.

Earn a total of 10,000 or higher on a T course. Vancouver Velocity T (Baby Rosalina Cup or Diddy Kong Cup), Daisy Hills T (Donkey Kong Cup or Morton Cup), DK Pass T (Luigi Cup or Lakitu Cup), Rock Rock Mountain T (Wario Cup), Waluigi Pinball T (Toadette Cup), Neo Bowser City T (Dry Bowser Cup) or Rainbow Road (Metal Mario Cup) are all races that you can easily score more than 10,000 when you have the driver that get you 3 items per Item Box.

Get 1st place in a 150cc or higher race 3 times in a row. Use a race that you know you can beat frequently. I wouldn’t prefer short tracks because they can be quite random and also don’t do 200cc as they are more difficult (a small mistake let the opponents pass a lot faster). Neo Bowser City, Waluigi Pinball, DK Pass are races that work great for this challenge.

Glide a distance of 2,000 or longer using a driver with a mustache. It’s a grind here and you will normally get that done by doing 2-3 races. I have written a full guide about the races to do and what drivers work there here.

Get 1st place in a 200cc race 3 times. Do any race with 200cc that you like. I also would here recommend middle-length races for this challenge if you struggle to win but actually it shouldn’t be a problem to get this challenge within 1-3 tries.

Get 1st place in a race in Vancouver 5 times. You don’t need to do this on the same track or in a row so I recommend using Vancouver Velocity R in the King Boo Cup. That’s the ranked cup so getting a better score here is another advantage and you will get your 5 wins quite fast.
