TapTap Heroes – Best Heroes Tier List June 2023 + Runes, Artifacts & Talents Build

I was working long to create this tier list that should help you to identify the heroes in TapTap Heroes that you should go for and invest your resources in and I also update it frequently.

My personal problem with many other tier lists have been that I found them either being too generic to provide much value or listing the same heroes over and over again in one tier without any additional information.

Also, other tier lists almost never give any recommendation to artifacts – and we all know how artifact can change the way a hero performs in TapTap Heroes, right?

Update! Added Sattario and enhanced some details about builds

Of course people will have different opinions here so if you want to start a discussion please go ahead and drop a comment at the end of the page

Also important! Don’t miss out on Gems, Keys and more rewards from the gift codes! I have a frequently updated list of active gift codes here and there’s always at least one gift code active at any point, so make sure to check it out.

Hero Tiers With Runes/Artifacts & Talents

So, here we go with the tier list of the best heroes.

Search:

  • Freya (Cosmic)S
Cosmic Freya provides almost broken support, even if she's like 6-Star. Crazy damage for just being on your team (even when she dies) and when you fully build her deals crazy damage herself, too.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→anyT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • Phoenix (Cosmic)S
Cosmic Phoenix deals high damage, is hard to kill and provides team buffs - what else could you ask for? No doubt, a great here in Tap Tap Heroes, but also one that's very expensive if you want him to actually deal damage.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→anyT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Attack
  • Skuld (Cosmic)S
Needs to be high-level to sustaina nd survive but then deals incredible reflect damage when under cc and can get any enemy in real troubleT1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→anyT5 Priority: lateRole: DamageMythic Rune: Attack
  • KoshkaS
She's a clear support hero with her crowd control and also her high damage buff provided for her allies that can enable great burst builds.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→ReflectT5 Priority: mid Role: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • ChaslonS
Quite high potential but requires a ton of invest and someone to die to be effective (so don#t run him against bosses) - but then he really is able to deal vrazy burst damageT1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→anyT5 Priority: lateRole: Burst DamageMythic Rune: Attack
  • SattarioS
His bomb can make him run in PvP well and he can deal good damage and off tank as well but can be unreliable here and thereT1→T2→T3: HP→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: earlyRole: Damage DealerMythic Rune: HP/Vitality
  • NyxA+
Although used to be overpowered, the other S-Tier heroes in TapTap Heroes seem to have put him into place. Still really versatile and works in pretty much any team but 1-on-1 struggles against the new heroes here in S-Tier.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Damage Dealer & TankMythic Rune: HP, Storm Attack, Vitality
  • AzathothA+
Azathoth is now in S Tier for me, with good invests he's able to keep up with the other heroes in the S Tier so I slightly ranked him up from top of the A Tier. He's a good tank and can also counter revives and does well against Vivienne/Ould/Skuld/Nyx healing at T5. He is able to move the battle into your favor but the investment is quite high to make him that viable. If you do, he's clearly a really good hero to run.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: midRole: Support and some tankMythic Rune: Speed
  • OuldA+
Ould provides over-the-top amounts of healing and support for the team as well and has the ability to do multiple revives.T1→T2→T3: any→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: mid Role: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • SkuldA+
Skuld is no good tank but amazing support and makes pretty much any team better. She is vital for any PvP team as well.T1→T2→T3: any→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: mid Role: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • BrynhildA+
Brynhild is viable in PvP and PvE with her ridiculous crowd control, enhanced by healing, the damage she can deal and survivability. She also can make easy comebacks as the last survivor of your team against a full enemy team.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: anytimeRole: DamageMythic Rune: Storm, Attack
  • SigurdA
Sigurd works great in PvP with his amazing energy control abilities, but to make him vital in PvE you need to pair with heroes providing good amounts of damage. Works really well for bosses.T1→T2→T3: Attack/Speed→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: earlyRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • SaizouA
Saizou went up and done here. Now with his recent buff he's one of the best heroes for bosses in Tap Tap Heroes plus great source of bleed poison for Void and can work in burst PvP teams.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→SpeedT5 Priority: anytimeRole: DamageMythic Rune: Crit Damage
  • ArwenA
Arwen (special niche case!). Arwen herself is not in the A Tier, but the reason I still have her up here instead of having her in the B Tier is that she's doing so amazing against Void Boss and PvP. She has her problems in 1v1 situations, no doubt, so she's hard to tune for PvP. Still, I feel she should not be in B Tier for the special use case she has (Void Boss).T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: should be the first oneRole: Burst damage to single tragetsMythic Rune: Crit Damage
  • IsabellaB+
Can counter Cosmic Skuld in high-end builds and requires a lot in the tema to be set up correctly to make her work well.T1→T2→T3: Attack/Speed→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: lateRole: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • VivienneB+
Vivienne has great healing and support, sometimes healing is almost broken good. That makes her hard to kill and she can off-tank with energy. Also helps timeouts in PvP.T1→T2→T3: any→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: earlyRole: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • PhoenixB
Phoenix is more viable in PvE than in PvP but can make crazy bursts. Great for pushing in PvE but can be RNG cheesy. In PvP offers nice burst and can also tank but lacks in terms of the energy he provides.T1→T2→T3: Speed/HP→Damage Reduction→ReflectT5 Priority: mid Role: Support & TankMythic Rune: Speed
  • VegvisirB
Vegvisir is a solid tank with some crowd control and support. He used to be higher on the list but with T5 other heroes have just become so much better that he has been falling off a little. Works best in burst setups with other control heroes.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: earlyRole: Tank & SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • RascalB
Rascal is one of the heroes that got introduced later into the game and has found his way into the meta. His sleep gives good crowd control and his damage output is also great. The only pitfall for him is, that you need to fine-tune his speed according to the team correctly to make him perform at his full potential.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: mid Role: Support & DamageMythic Rune: Attack, Def Break
  • ValkyrieB
Valkyrie had quite some history in TapTap Heroes and is a good damage dealer early on. She used to fall off and became more a support hero in late game but since the recent patch that buffed her, she's doing crazy heals and deals much more damage later in the game. Still, after I had her in the A Tier and ranked her down for the same reason I ranked down the heroes above, the new heroes that have been recently released are simply so strong...T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→ControlT5 Priority: earlyRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Def Break/Attack
  • BaalC
Baal deals good damage and I like how his overall kit works, pretty solid and rounded without pitfalls. He can sometimes snowball solo against a full team and get you the victory and doesn't require much to use. It's the overall package that I think makes him one of the heroes in Tap Tap Heroes that you really want to run. Although he's been falling off a little recently so I ranked him now a little lower (due to the new stronger heroes that have been released this year).T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Burst AEO DamageMythic Rune: Def Break, Crit Damage
  • KurtulmakC
Kurtulmak is insane in PvE with his crazy high damage output and his defense is good enough to pushing in PvE. However, and that's his only flaw, he gets pretty much wrecked in PvP as enemies can bypass his skill damage reduction so he can't perform his biggest advantage there. But, same as Baal, has been falling off a little recently so ranked lower now.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→50% AttackT5 Priority: after SkuldRole: Burst AOE DamageMythic Rune: Def Break
  • HodurC
Hodur is a ranking that I need to explain. On his own he's having a hard time, but if you can pair him with a T5 Aegina (I know that's a significant invest), he is able to maintain a good defense and able to ramp up big damage. In this setup, he's viable and useful but with the newer heroes that have been released recently I have ranked him a little lower and now in the B Tier as he quite can't keep up with them anymore.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: midRole: Support and some damageMythic Rune: Hit Rate
  • ThemisC
Themis was ranked lower before T5, as her damage was really squishy and nothing you could rely on. With T5, her damage becomes much more reliable and she's able to do big hits that have an impact.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: midRole: Burst area damageMythic Rune: Def Break
  • VerthandiC
Verthandi is the last one I have in this tier and it might be debatable for some players, so please let me explain. She has solid damage and is also a solid tank but that would be more on par with a B Tier hero.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: firstRole: TankMythic Rune: Attack
  • ChessiaC
Chessia deals extreme damage but you need to keep her alive so can be squishy. Great against bosses with her energy denial as well. But needs a team that fit her.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: lateRole: Burst AOE DamageMythic Rune: Def Break
  • AeginaC
Aegina can be strong and deal good damage with her dot but needs defensive help here and there. Her T5 gives her a good buff but is quite some invest and needs the right team setup to perform well.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: midRole: DamageMythic Rune: Def Break, Speed
  • YmirC
Ymir is an outstanding PvP hero and there's two ways to utilize him. One is having him a few Stars lower than the other heroes and build him for HP and surviving and he will still enrich your PvP squad by a lot. If you have hima t the same Star level as the rest in your team, go all-in and speed & energy and he will outspeed any enemy.T1→T2→T3: HP/Speed→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: HP, Speed
  • RipperC
Ripper has nice dodge mechanics that make him a suitable tank but more a hero for the earlier parts of TapTap Heroes as he falls off quickly.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: firstRole: DamageMythic Rune: Def Break
  • JettC
Jett is also relatively new and is, unfortunately, not the Nyx countering hero that we all hoped for. He does deal good damage to Nyx but it's simply not enough. His frontline disarm can be good for interruption and also can do decent damage, but I'm honest that is not enough to be any significant right now.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→ControlT5 Priority: lateRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Def Break, Speed
  • LindbergC
Lindberg has, first of all, a really high investment and you will need his skin to make him work well. He is squishy, although has a high kill potential if he hits. Overall, you can find better options above.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: midRole: Burst Damage (Single Target)Mythic Rune: Hit Rate, Speed
  • LightningD
Lightning has solid damage and also buffing other damage dealers. Altogether not a bad kit but you can find better heroes for all situations.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→ControlT5 Priority: midRole: Damage & SupportMythic Rune: Def Break, Speed
  • Shudde M'ellD
Shudde M'ell has been falling off a lot T4 and now with T5 she can be a decent buffer and solid crowd control, but that's not enough for me - especially looking at the invest - to rank her any higher.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: midRole: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • LoreleyD
Lorely is not doing too much. The damage is okayish at most but she can deal decent damage in a mage team in the right setup.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: midRole: Support and some damageMythic Rune: Speed, Def Break
  • MalorneD
Malorne is hard to grasp right now. He keeps heroes alive a little longer and that's pretty much all he can do - but there are other heroes that can do that either better or come with more additional abilities so I can't rally recommend building him right now (but I assume he will jump into the meta at some later point with some re-balancing or another new hero being released).T1→T2→T3: HP→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: midRole: Support for defenseMythic Rune: HP
  • MulanD
Mulan has great dodge and can tank Void Boss and apply bleed. Also okay to counter mages, but overall not doing more.T1→T2→T3: depends→Damage Reduction→ControlT5 Priority: lateRole: Tank and some damageMythic Rune: Dodge
  • DettlaffD
Dettlaff was kind of dead-buffed. The berserk mode stopped him from being a good hero for timeouts in PvP and he's still decent PvE. But he used to be so much better.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: firstRole: Burst damage to single targetsMythic Rune: Def Break, Crit Damage
  • Monkey KingD
Monkey King has damage that is not outstanding but solid and reliable and also can tank with Bone Grip, but is not in the meta right now (anymore).T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: earlyRole: Tanks and some damageMythic Rune: Def Break
  • LeoD
Leo has this instant team buff that can have very specific cases but they are so specific and rare that I simply can't rank him higher, especially as his damage output is really squishy.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→50% AttackT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Burst damage to single targetsMythic Rune: Def Break
  • FreyaD
Freya used to be one of the top heroes and can still be viable in PvE. The problem is that her damage is simply not high enough anymore to burst through T5 teams and also RNG relying, so she also fails a lot.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: anytimeRole: Damage dealerMythic Rune: Def Break, Speed
  • MarsD
Mars used to have nice damage and crowd control as well for PvE but his T5 let him fall off a lot compared to other heroes, so not really that viable anymore.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: midRole: Damage dealerMythic Rune: Def Break
  • DrowD
Drow works against burst and her silence can also be useful, but her low hit rate make her somewhat squishy and not reliable. Has some anti-healing potential niche uses.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: Role: SupportMythic Rune: Speed
  • WatchmanD
Watchman is primarily strong for high-end burst teams but needs a lot of HP. Also, quite hard to play as you need to fine-tune his speed really well into your team.T1→T2→T3: depends→Damage Reduction→dependsT5 Priority: lateRole: SupportMythic Rune: HP
  • YigD
Yig has his taunting that can be highly disruptive. Pair with a team with good damage to have a good PvE hero but also rely heavily on RNG.T1→T2→T3: Speed
    HP→Damage Reduction→Reflect
T5 Priority: midRole: Support and can tank a littleMythic Rune: Speed
  • MedusaD
Medusa is extremely squishy to play, especially in late to end-game. Just lacks overall.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→50% AttackT5 Priority: Role: Damage dealerMythic Rune: Speed
  • XexanothF
Xexanoth, uff, is just... ew. Theoretically, for silent teams with Shudde you could make use of him but still doesn't deliver enough damage and there are so many better options.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: Role: Burst damage to single targetsMythic Rune: Def Break
  • LunaF
Luna is actually a nice tank in trials with Tears of the Goddess. In PvP she has trouble against cc teams.T1→T2→T3: Speed→Damage Reduction→Self CritT5 Priority: Role: Damage dealer and a little bit tankingMythic Rune: Speed
  • LexarF
Lexar deals insane damage but is really squishy to play and not reliable. With T5 he can get, theoretically, infinite energy but I think we need more time to see where he will find his tier.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→50% AttackT5 Priority: midRole: Damage DealerMythic Rune: Def Break
  • Nameless KingF
Nameless King. Even though you can define if you want him to go crit, attack or def break depending on the attack artifact you're using, there's not much useful about him in the current state.T1→T2→T3: Attack→Damage Reduction→1x ResistT5 Priority: Role: Damage DealerMythic Rune: Def Break, Crit Rate

  1. Hello I would like you to put images to the talents, I really like the guide, but I don’t understand it much in the part of the talents. I wish they would make videos and the character combinations.
Do you have a Youtube channel?

  2. Dude, you should update this walkthrough, a lot of changes have taken place in game. It’s a nice walkthrough.

  3. For verthandi i thought better use speed/hp, dmg reduce, control resist and dodge rune if want to make her as tank? So more durability? Or still better to put attack? And for ripper 2nd talent better with true dmg? Why dmg reduction better? Pls explain tq

  4. like other reviews, Ripper is a bit underestimated. He should be a A(A) I think. Also the most cost effective hero in this game.
