Best Troops

Cavalry, Cavalry, Cavalry. Her skills, her talents and also synergies with other commanders in Rise of Kingdoms are all about cavalry so best just take a full cavalry march with her to gain the most out of it without overthinking too much how mixing troops can affect things here.

Best Commander Pairing for Joan of Arc (Prime)

Alexander Nevsky

Xiang Yu
Xiang Yu
Honda Tadakatsu
Honda Tadakatsu
Mehmed II
Mehmed II
Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar

Alexander Nevsky is my personal favorite commander pairing and you’d use Joan Prime as the primary commander to get all those buffs going and then gain Nevsky’s extra hard-hitting active skill + the additional benefits of more extra attack when running full cavalry. They simply punch so well together that you don’t want to ever use any other setup ever again. Xiang Yu is also a pairing that you might take a deeper look into. You get Yiang Yu fire off his active skill with the debuff before Joan and the damage they do is just out of this world. But, and here’s the dealbreaker for most players, there’s no defensive capabilities at all and the only way to make this march durable is using equipment with a lo of hitpoints and defense. Honda Tadakatsu is on the other hand a great commander to cover the damage you take and give the glass-cannon Joan a nice buffer and more durability plus his increased skill damage buff the less troops you have works really well along Joan with her high skill damage skill. Mehmed II also provides extra skill damage and provides more defense so Joan will not burn down so fast. Julius Caesar can also work but should not be your first pick here. The synergy they have is that Julius has his active skill buff and when you get the extra attack from Joan in within that 5 seconds, you will pack a huge punch.

Best Equipment Forge Order

In terms of equipment, here’s what I recommend to use as the route for Joan of Arc (Prime). I have tailored this priority order that you can follow step-by-step to prevent forging and running equipment that is not useful or only provides a very small improvement. Follow the equipment path step-by-step and you will have the best and most economical gear:

Sharp Longsword
Sharp Longsword is a great and super easy to get piece of equipment and the +5% defense for cavalry optimal
Coarse Breeches
Coarse Breeches also a super low-hanging fruit here with extra attack for cavalry units
Milanese Plate
Milanese Plate is the very first chest piece as there is nothing prior that makes sense equipping for cavalry
Bronze Bracers
Bronze Bracers are not the greatest equip gear overall but they give some cavalry defense and are the first viable option for this slot
Helm of Fear
Helm of Fear is the first helm piece to craft now. It has attack, which is not the best to have that early and you rather want defense but you can at least get some attack bonus from it
Edged Boots
Edged Boots are the last open equipment slot and should be the last equipment piece to equip since the small attack bonus is the least benefit here, but it gives a litte extra attack on cavalry so it's worth it
Vanguard Halberd
Vanguard Halberd should now replace your white weapon and it is incredible good for a green equipment offering a good defense boost that you really need at this point
Vanguard Greaves
Vanguard Greaves are your choice here and with the Vanguard Helbred in place you will also get the additional set bonus so you have all green equipment now with a nice bonus and good amount of total stats
Windswept Boots
Windswept Boots are the first blue gear you should equip after you have all equipment above equipped and it's an incredible gear piece where every stat is on point
Windswept Bracers
Windswept Bracers is the next equipment to replace the Bronze Bracers and it will give you great stats with health and march speed that is quite perfect + you will get the small attack buff as you now have two Windswept gear pieces active

And for the artifacts I have tested the different ones here so you can see which ones perform the best (of course I only tested/list the ones that make sense):

Pendant of Eternal Night

Concealed Dagger

Silent Trial

Delanes Amulet

Call of the Loyal

Horn of Fury is the accessory that fits so well on Joan of Arc Prime as you want to cycle through your active skill as fast as possible to deal that huuge damage factor – and the extra rage you gain from horn is very useful.Ring of Doom adds more damage and is exactly what Joan Prime loves to do, and scaling up by percentage is even better and help her deal even more damage.

Best Builds For Joan of Arc (Prime)

Below you will find the talent tree builds for Joan of Arc (Prime) that make sense when running as the primary commander in any march in Rise of Kingdoms. Please also refer to the description below each talent tree as I explain a general route on how you should spend your talents there + some additional background for each talent build that I very likely will appreciate.

This is the only talent build for Joan and here are some annotations to it. Start off by getting Rejuvenate in the Suport Tree, but don’t invest more than 2 points here as the Rejuvenate in the Support Tree generates a lot more rage than the one in the Skill Tree and with all 3 points there you’re very likely generating over the rage cap so all extra rage is going nowhere. Emergency Protection is a talent that may be more worth your while and helps reducing Joan getting hit too hard with skill damage. The other points should then all go into the Cavarly Tre from here. We talked about this above how you should run Joan Prime only with Cavalry troops so she will gain a lot more from this side of the talent tree.

Conclusion

I hope this guide for building Joan of Arc (Prime) helped you investing without wasting much time and resources. If you liked it or you further questions (or maybe also annnotations that you believe should be added here in this guide), please don’t hesitate to post them below in the commen section. Thanks for reading and have a great day and see you out in the kingdoms.
