The Revenge Button is one of the oldest features in Clash of Clans, but still not used frequently by all Clashers. In this post, I’d like to give you some good reasons to use it – even if it’s sometimes annoying you can get some great deals with it.
First of all, I’m curious how you guys use the Revenge Button.
The Revenge Button Can Be Your Best Friend
The Revenge Button is a great way to release your anger if somebody attacked you and the only way to get back at him, but it’s far more than that.
Reason 1: Free Scouting
When you take a look at your defense log, you’ll see all the players that attacked your base. Attacking a base directly with the Revenge Button would be quite stupid, so you’re also able to scout the base. Simply click on the name and you can “visit village”.
This will take you to the attackers village without investing anything at all. Maybe you already found a base that you can easily attack. Just minutes ago I found a defenseless base with baby Heroes and a lot of loot.
Reason 2: Deep Scouting
Alright, the first reason might not be that impressive when you have no problem skipping through the clouds for some gold. However, this scouting is better than the regular one, because:
- You don’t have a time limit and can spend as much time as you want there
- You can scout a lot more
You can get the info tab of any building when you visit the village of the attacker. This means you can check exactly where the resources are, what radius the Clan Castle exactly has, etc.
That’s really helpful and can be done while you’re hanging around and watching your troops getting trained. I always have the names on the list in my head that I will attack as soon as I can (read more about that in reason no. 4)
Reason 3: It’s a full attack!
If you do the attack, you will get rewarded with the full loot you grab and also the League Bonus. Especially if you find a defenseless base or one with an exposed Town Hall (yes, I also come across them in 2016!), you’ll get some cheap extra loot.
Reason 4: Learn to be patient
Ok, the fourth reason is a little bit sarcastic. The Revenge Button has one big downside and if you found a village you would like to revenge, you’ll notice that players often have an active shield or are online themselves. Sometimes I need a couple of days until I find a spot when I can actually use the revenge on someone.
Revenging stays available as long as they are within your defense log, so you have enough time to try it out.
It would be a nice feature if Supercell would make the Revenge Button only available on villages that are available for attacks (or show the available revenge opportunities in some other way).
I know, the Revenge Button is not a big new feature, but I have the feeling that it’s not used by many players out there and I personally think that many do not see how great this can be used – especially in farming.
